· The croissants were dry. I paid for breakfast directly at the hotel, there was no record of it. We sorted this out at the front desk and were embarrassedly turned away at the restaurant. It was sorted at the end. The room was quite warm
Great location. Easy access to a lot of places. Get a high floor for a view. Pool is on the 16th floor.
A very good hotel. The breakfasts are wonderful.
Strange problem - do not provide a Shuttle service to the airport. Otherwise all good, rather the opposite - very well, you feel like a Man!
Excellent property. They are very generous with upgrades for HHonors members, provide a wait free check-in with the digital key option, through the app, and were very attentive to my needs via text. What could be more convenient than that? It's also in a great location in the city, very close to car rental facilities, should you decide to drive to the coast or wine country. If you can find the means...
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on here and they had the cheapest rates around... Great stay here a couple of weekends back. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms were great for our price. The hotel was close to everything. One tip would be to avoid the parking costs at the hotel and park across the street in one of the parking lots...

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel! The rooms are well decorated and make you feel like you are in a boutique hotel instead of a large chain. Good location and walking distance to pretty much anything. The staff was nothing but nice and extemerly helpful.
Great value for the quality of service, the central location, and the quality of the rooms. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and check-in is very quick. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and the location is hard to beat. The breakfast was great for the price (~$20) but this has been closed for renovations I believe for quite some time. The hotel restaurant is good with helpful staff...
Room feels big. It's quiet and clean. The location downtown is nice. I've never had many requirements for a hotel so overall this is everything I could ask for - helps that I'm here on business so am not paying out of pocket.
They recently renovated every room and now they are NICE. They're also pretty big. Fun decor, comfy bed, nice touches like USB ports along with wall outlets next to the bed. The shower is big, nice, and clean. You can get a fair amount of street noise, trucks backing up, etc. But you're in the middle of downtown San Francisco so you have to kind of expect it. The staff are friendly. It was pouring...
Best area hotel, not your regular courtyard property. Well done, renovated, super well managed, rooms good size for downtown US city. Good lobby chill out space. Good pricing for that city. Location 10 minutes to virtually anything you need.
Certainly not the place to come to if you are on a tight budget. Parking is $64 a night. The room was very nice. We got one of the newly renovated ones. Very modern and clean.

Love Marriot! Wonderful experience from the minute the doorman open the door! Check in staff was friendly and very helpful. Ken in the bar is very personable and the service is great. The mattress and pillows were wonderful! Room was well cleaned.
Wonderful food and service
The room we stayed in was remodeled for a nice modern--but still very comfortable--interior. The shower was awesome and the bed was a dream. We had a great view of the bay and Coit Tower. I would definitely recommend the place for a night in the city that won't break the bank.
Great location. This Marriott is undergoing renovations in early 2018 and I was able to get in one of the newer rooms. It was an updated room with more modern touches for a Marriott. The breakfast at the lounge (for platinum holders) was well done. I enjoyed my stay.
The hotel is located in a convenient location to Union Square. There was plenty of shopping and other tourist stuff to do within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable. The one big negative was how long it took the valet to bring my car around. He said 15-20 minutes and it took at least 30 minutes.
Don't let the 70's exterior facade fool you - this place is as up to date as any hotel. The rooms and beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient and central, too. The views from the higher floors are pretty good, too.

This is the most luxurious hotel in the world! It was a flawless, sparkling environment. It is suitable for both large parties and dates. For me it was a wonderful place to heal. We've had a good time so far. You'll need a decent vantage point to see the entire area. You did an amazing job!
Very beautiful place, downtown San Francisco
Go to the View Bar on top floor and enjoy the view. Be ready for high prices on drinks though.
Cozy lobby full of books, welcome any time of day and night. Huge event spaces under ground and above.
Wow! I was extremely impressed by this hotel. It was very big and nice looking, the rooms were nice, I was particularly impressed by the bar on the 39th floor. The views from up there were spectacular. The hotel's location was also very nice and convenient. I would love to stay there again. This is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in to this date.
Everything was really good. The only trouble we ran into was having to deal with a very large event that was going on during our stay. There should have been an employee helping guests with the elevators when the conferences got out. We literally waited 20-25 minutes for elevators once, while other waits we're averaging 10 minutes. One of six elevators for non-conference guests would have been ideal...

Reception allowed to check-in early (my flight arrived at 6 am and I was at the hotel at 7am), which was great considering the night travel and that it pouring rain outside. Reception clerk was very useful with information on a good spot for breakfast nearby and how to purchase bus / cable car tickets. Gym is very well equiped.
One of the most reasonably priced hotels on a saturday night, modern, clean and funky. Loved the deep tub in the bathroom. Staff super friendly. Great location.
Great place to stay in the centre of town. Bed was really comfortable. The gym was nice. Entrance was beautiful, very modern chic.
Well, at least it's clean – if you catch that thought upon checking to a hotel, it's a pretty bad sign. The hotel building is old, the room is simple and far from being fantastic, it could use some renovation and better styling. However, the central location of the hotel is convenient for anyone who has any business in downtown San Francisco, and the relatively low room prices offset the downsides...
Wow, I am always so impressed with the quality of service at Hotel G! Ricardo is especially noteworthy; he always has a smile on his face and radiates positivity. He is kind and helpful, which makes booking Hotel G a no-brainer every time I’m in town. Love these guys!
The Hotel is in a awesome location for shopping! Right in the middle of Union Square. The hotel is subpar. The rooms are extremely small . The hotel includes a additional $25 dollars per day for access to the amenities, which are not great by the way. Also, our bathroom smelled of sewage and mildew. The wood plank flooring was practically coming up from the floor as we walked around our room. I would...

Nicely decorated room. Large room in the basement with lounge, tables, tv, kitchen. Not too much noise coming from the street (in the back rooms). Effective hairdryer. Building and room access with a code, no need to carry a card.
Excellent communication from Kasa. Room and common areas were very clean. Location was good for restaurants, Chinatown and other sightseeing. Street noise made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

Front desk staff are extremely helpful and a valuable resource for travelers. The room we stayed in was nice, small but large enough for two people. The mattress was super firm, like a slab of rock. There's no A/C (not really needed), but there is a ceiling fan to circulate air. If you open the windows, you'll be cool enough. Be advised there is considerable noise from the street, sirens, traffic,...
Great staff, great location, surprisingly good rates! Pretty central to several alternative areas of SF. Just walk a block to grab the Hayes St bus to Haight-Ashbury, or walk around the corner to Smuggler's Cove (get there at opening). Only a few blocks from the Mission, the Castro or even Japantown. I'd ding a half star for what seemed like thin walls but our neighbors wete just very loud but chilled...
Great hotel! Close to transit, shopping and entertainment. Very friendly staff! Wonderful complimentary continental breakfast! Complimentary cookies in the afternoon with ice water available all day. Concierge on site is knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay!
My daughter and I came to San Francisco for her to attend an audition for The San Francisco ballet. The Inn at The Opera hotel is just steps away from the door to the ballet! The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and well stocked. Although the bed was a little hard for my taste, we had 3 decent nights sleep. I consider the decor vintage or antique. So it is quaint and cozy...
Well run quaint hotel with a Scandinavian restaurant on site. Great friendly staff, good food and a free continental breakfast each morning. Hitel is well kept up. But remember, like most quaint hotels in SF There is no air conditioning so visit them in winter when the rooms are tested.
Price aside it is a nice place to stay in the city. Rooms are comfy, clean and amenities are ample. Located right next to the civic center which is a good central location to be in SF when visiting for recreation or business. Also it is off a street that is usually fairly quiet which is nice.

Spacious and comfortable room, great location in front of Union Square. We booked a queen room and got an upgrade to the king room for free!
Very good location and aspects of the service were good. The lobby area, whilst nice and floral, is confusing as to where the check in/out counters are. Enter from the main entrance and you'll realise there are two lines, which over the 4 nights I was there I saw caused lots of frustration with guests. Once at the desk, service was above average. Rooms are ageing but otherwise clean and well maintained...
What an awesome hotel. Would give it a 10 if I could. THE place to stay in SF… worth every penny. Clean and staff is super friendly. The cafe has an excellent selection and very convenient if you have hote credits to spend.
Right in the centre of town so you expect to pay the big bucks (even if SFO is in a bit of a slump) but to be fair, it really is a great location. The hotel is super spacious it has a good energy; it's busy but in a joyous kinda way. The rooms are good and the staff were able to take care of everything I asked for. Sometimes the service was a little ropey, either slow or staff members appeared confused...
I had an Exceptional Experience thanks to the Excellent Customer Service provided by Elaine at the Front Desk! My room was extraordinary! It had a view of Union Square! Beautiful hotel with great service! We were in a junior suite on the union square side and it was absolutely gorgeous. The service was great and room service was fast. The cafe downstairs also serves delicious pasta (much to my surprise!) Definitely will be back. The pricing is comparable to the Hilton but this hotel is much much better in my opinion

This is a wonderful alternative to the standard, off-the-shelf cooky-cutter hotel. Lots of authentic charm surrounding its French heritage.
Cute hotel in a good location. There is quite a bit of street noise and our room was pretty cold. There are heaters in the room (and heaters were indicated online) but we were told they are not on. I don't know if they are on seasonally or they just don't use them. We were all cold in the room even during the warmest part of the day. The second time we talked to the front desk, we were informed that...
Super cute hotel on Nob Hill. Hand Painted art & walls. Quiet neighborhood and lovely hotel & rooms. We had a cozy Queen room, well equipped bathroom. Our heater was broken so it was a little chilly.
This little hotel is just perfect. Delightful hand painted art details all throughout the rooms, the elevator, the hallways, the doors. Delicious homemade croissants for breakfast, sparkling clean rooms, friendly service in a beautiful French accent. We’ll come back over and over again. I can’t believe how affordable it was for how sweet and thoughtful every aspect of our stay.
I made a quick trip to San Francisco to see some friends play live music. Franck was extremely helpful with all the information I could need, and the woman at the front desk was marvelous. Considering my stay was during Covid, I felt safe the entire time with everyone taking the necessary measures and precautions. It was a wonderful surprise to know the parking was part of my stay, breakfast was perfect...
The hotel looks like a historical place with some old rivival decorations. The receptionist is friendly and kind. They provide the express (15$) if you need to go to SFO. Everything is great except the room. My room has a heavy musty smell and it's warm like an oven that I need to open the windows before I sleep. I don't know whether other rooms are like this or not. This hotel is in a perfect location on a relatively quiet side street only a few minutes walk from Union Square. The hotel itself was fine (was actually a bit better than I expected). The room was functional and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Room serviced every day. Hotels in San Francisco are very expensive, so although this hotel wasn't exactly cheap, as far as San Francisco hotels are concerned...
I stayed here for a business trip and really enjoyed it. The room was really cute. I appreciated the vintage feel and actually prefer that experience to a "fancy" hotel. The bed was comfy! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Wine hour was a GREAT addition and would be a reason I'd stay there again. It's close to many of the places you'll want to visit...China Town, Financial District, Nob Hill...
The hotel was okay. The room was nice and clean but smelled slightly like cigarette smoke. We went to hang towels on the towel rack and the rack came completely out of the wall. They say they are pet friendly but have to pay $25/night for your...
I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Because this hotel is historical and an old building, one might find the floor plan of the rooms small and awkward. But it's really charming and I appreciate all the beauty of the hotel. My room was clean and the housekeeping does a fantastic job of maintaining the environment clean and enjoyable...
Economy price belied by comfort. A converted motel with room facing into a central courtyard with semi tropical plants and a very pleasant swimming pool. Rooms are well (quite expensively) furnished with comfortable beds and good linens. Remarkably varied and high quality breakfast buffet included. Would merit a price at least 50% higher.

The place was really nice. It's a bit old fashioned style but I really liked that. There's a garage right across the street so the parking was really easy. We didn't get up early enough for the breakfast but the room was nice and had a really big shower. We had a really great stay.
Good location to union square, nicely appointed room. Fantastic taco place 2 doors down. Elevator is dodgy, 108 year old. Windows are single pane and you hear Every thing outside. Bar/restaurant on 2nd floor with loud music. Don't get room on 3rd floor if you need to go to bed early. Right on BART line.
Complimentary coffee (Starbucks nitro cold brew on tap) and quick breakfast bites like freshly baked croissants in the lobby
So much charm! Really enjoyed our stay from our quaint room to a great dinner. Nitro-cold brew coffee with complimentary breakfast was such a great plus. We'll be back! Hopefully soon ;)

Good clean place that is pretty close to Fisherman's wharf. Not a lot of bells and whistles but would definitely recommend
Excellent value for the price. Perfect for a long weekend in SF that doesn’t break the bank. Super convenient to Cow Hollow and all of the food, as well as the tourist destinations. Highly recommend.
Great value for your money - convenient location if you need a car for your SF trip. The rooms are neat, clean. Ask for a quiet room opposite the main road. Wifi is a little sluggish, so don't count on streaming Netflix for entertainment, and their movie selection on the television is limited. So download your movie and bring a cable to hook up to the big screen!
Hotel is conveniently located right on Lombard Street. It is a short walk over to Chestnut Street where there are many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and many other things to do. We were put in a bigger room than booked and it spacious, clean and comfortable
Older hotel that retains a lot of character. Kind and accommodating staff. Plus, they don't charge that 30-40$ a night 'resort fee' that seems to be standard at the other hotels in the city.
Nice room, but hidden fees and holds on your account money which is not notified to client until arrival.
My three friends and I shared a small queen room here because we were on a budget. We were going to a concert at Social Hall so the location was prime (only a 6 min walk). I booked on trip advisor for a deal and mistakenly booked the wrong day! I only realized once we got there but the man at the front desk was very helpful and accommodated us anyways with no extra charge! I will be forever grateful...
We spent our honeymoon here a few weeks ago and loved it! The staff was super friendly, the food was great and the hotel was unique. If you want a typical "hotel" don't stay here. Didn't like the day service lady's attitude about paper receipts and having to wait 3 business days for my deposit to go back into my account. Despite that; this is one of the better decent price places to stay in San Francisco. I would still recommend!
This hotel is always featured on the big name hotel booking sites and typically the rooms can get down to 50% of the original price Great for a cheap stay with moderate amenities but there are more exciting places in better locations in San Francisco. If you are local to the area and need a reasonably priced clean place to say then this is for you
Great clean rooms at an affordable price! Staff was incredibly kind and friendly. Also left my airpods after the stay and they held it for me at the location so I could pick it up. 10/10 would recommend.
Easy to access, right off freeway, and in a safe area. Arrived and my room wasn't clean yet, but they cleaned it well. Rooms weren't gross or smelly, and front desk was helpful. GOOD PARKING, in a gated lot with security guards. This is my 3rd time using this motel. Would use again.
We stayed a night here. Rooms were clean and tidy. There wasn't much walking distance but we were able to uber to most tourist places for $5-10. There was a cool food cart area a short walk away.
Way better than I've expected. Will talk about the hotel, right, cause that what is this all about. Large room, double bed and a vinyl couch. Easy to adjust the room climate. Nice towels in the bathroom, Flat TV (quite big screen), coffee maker, microwaves. Cannot complain. Great price and location in S.F.. I would particularly like to point out and compliment the front office staff for their immense helpfulness and hospitality; I messed up the shipment for some packages that were to be picked up from the hotel after I left, and they went so far as to kindly print my new shipping labels and attach them after I called up. I liked the location of the hotel. Wish they would open the restaurant downstairs, would be a great lounge area. Everyone was very friendly. Rooms were a bit outdated but clean & the rolls & coffee were delish.
Old, traditional hotel with small rooms. Great locations just one minute from Cable Car line. Breakfast features muffins and other sweet stuff. Hotel doesn't have amenities like pool or gym, but reasonable prices.

Super nice hotel, perfect location in San Francisco! The decorating/furniture are modern, the hotel offers (industrial) pastries every morning, we will come back!
This place is awesome! Manny the boss is fantastic and makes everything so simple. I’m a flight attendant so I’ve seen many different types of hotels in my time and this one is more like a 3 start due to the cleanliness and upgraded decor, it’s simple but has everything you need. Wonderful view if you get lucky. Perfect location in front of the bay. Large and clean rooms.
Personally, I wouldn't pay the extra for the Regency Club. The view up there was amazing but the food was not on par with what you would expect IMO. For the area, for the price...a solid 4. The room is a little dated but not horrid by any means. Super friendly and helpful staff. Balcony room has a nice patio area for 2. Very pleased with the stay. Would most certainly come back.

Grand Hyatt SF or Hyatt Regency SF? I've stayed in both, and I tend to prefer the Regency. The rooms in the Regency are nice as well (maybe a little bit less good, especially the bathrooms: I had no proper walk-in shower but just a bath-tub with a shower) and the Regency Club is just fine. But the best about the Regency Club here is: You can get outside onto a big balcony and have an awesome view over...
I attended a 3 day technology conference at this hotel. The venue was great with friendly staff and good amenities. The interior was beautiful and the view from the windows was excellent. The room was great, the location was perfect, the valet parking made driving around town easy and the entire stay was great. Ruben at the front desk was also very helpful and made us feel welcome. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in San Francisco. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful visit.
