Hotel Airport Tirana

Great services, close to the airport and great facilities

This hotel is absolutely ideally located for Tirana airport and rental car pick up/drop of - a short walk from the terminal. The reception staff speak good English and are friendly and helpful. Our room (a quad) was spacious and comfortable. Very nice to have a kettle and mugs provided. We had dinner in the Italian-style restaurant and it was very nice - good pizza, pasta etc.
Out only issue was that our room was SO HOT. The aircon didn't seem to work and opening the windows meant is was noisy. We only stayed one night so didn't have a chance to see if this could be fixed easily.
Overall, this hotel is definitely rather overpriced for what you get, but nevertheless we would stay here again if needed because the location is so good.

Perfect and very close to Airport.

Unlike the bad reviews I had a good experience just because I get to the airport 2.5 hours before my flight- things were smooth and they were even accepting & scanning boarding pass on A4 sheets both black & white & coloured.
We still get our boarding passes from the wizzair counter.
There were plenty of cafes- considering the size of the airport

Not the best if you ask me, bit too crowded for a small international airport.
Immigration was a bit slow as the lines were way too long, exchange price is ridiculous in the airport and dont ask about taxi situation.
I've pre booked a rental car just outside the airport so it was bit hassle free.
There's a kft just outside if you fel to have a snack before du voyur.
I'd say not the worst airport I've been but it was clean and not a single sign boards are in English, good luck

Tirana airport is always busy as a lot of tourists come in from other countries to transit and transfer to another country.
The airport is not that big but serves right and staff even in comfort rooms are charming.
Compared to other airports, water bottles are not that expensive usually twice as much only not like times 3 or 4 from the regular price from other airports.

We arrive 1 hour before the boarding gate opens and we don’t need to queue in line for the boarding pass as we already did online check in. The guy who helped us is so kind.

I was utterly surprised how well this airport operated. Every time a new plane landed the buses were ready to transport passengers to a terminal, the ground crew was on time to prepare the plane for another take off. The airport is operating efficiently, like a well oiled machine, there are restaurants and coffee shops both on the first floor and ground floor. There is a duty free shop as well.
I only give it 4 stars, because our flight was delayed and we were let out of the departure lounge too soon just to wait outside to board the plane, not very professional.

The hotel is strategically positioned- quite convenient for someone who doesn’t want to go too far from the airport.
