Petit Elite in Shkoder

A comfortable, clean, modern hotel close to the centre of Shkoder. Located up a side street which initially doesn't look particularly promising. But the hotel itself is excellent, with a stylish, modern feel and efficient, professional staff. Unlike quite a few places in Albania the toilet/ shower / plumbing is top quality. Also has air conditioning, which is very welcome. Breakfast is served in a nearby restaurant (just round the corner). It was superb (including some of the best bread, butter and honey I've ever tasted). Highly recommended. (One thing to note - the pedestrian centre of Shkoder comes alive in the evening particularly at the weekend. Bars, restaurants, music, even fireworks. Petit Hotel Elita isn't directly adjacent to all that but there will probably be some noise till quite late. So go out and enjoy the party atmosphere.with all the fashionable local young people. It's really lively. Mediterranean living at its best!)

Very friendly staff and kind! Excellent location with parking right in front of the hotel. Super clean room.

1. Hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to/from the main street where there are many options for dining
2. The room space and bathroom are generous and was sufficient for 2 guests, each travelling with a medium-sized suitcase
3. Small bar fridge to keep food/drinks cold

We stayed at this hotel before and after our Valbona-Theth hike. They let us store our luggage there, which was nice. We stayed in two different rooms. The first one was really nice, but the AC was not working. The bathroom in the second room could have used some repairs, and had a leaky sink. However, the AC in that room was working. The location was great!

Excellent location where I could walk to almost everywhere in Shkoder within 5 minutes, with few famous cocktails bars and cafe just behind the street. Staffs were just nice and able to answer my questions but nothing very impressed. The room was bigger than I expected and had a large window, but the duvet provided was too thin, even though the weather wasn’t too cold. The shower room was clean and large, hot water works perfectly fine. I have no complaints about the price I paid.

Excellent value stay in Skroder
Very well located hotel hidden down back street near centre of town. Plenty parking spaces in private hotel parking opposite hotel entrance. Walking distance to pedestrian street in town centre. Excellent quality and comfortable room. Quiet location.

Strangely, on my second night there, part of the ceiling light just clicked on by itself, and I couldn't shut it off. It went off by itself after about a minute or two: a bit spooky. That is pretty much all you get though. The front desk is nice but not too helpful: they can't help arrange taxi or tell you accurate information about buses to Tirana. The breakfast they offer is not onsite: it is in the hotel's sister restaurant a few hundred meters away. There is a cafe next door, but it offers no food whatsoever: strictly coffee only (as it is with every other coffee bar in the neighborhood). So long as you know you are just getting a nice room and much else, you'd be fine.
