Hotel Kristal in Vlore

We stayed in the week of August, with high expectations given the positive reviews found on the internet from years ago. At first glance it seemed to be ok with cleanliness, but after a week we realized that there was nothing clean about it, we slept in the same sheets for a consecutive week even though they were very dirty, the floor was always full of hair and sand, therefore they did not sweep and wash, the towels were not changed before 6pm and only 2 large towels and one small or 2 small and one large towels were given, in short, not enough. Not enough also because the shower didn't have a plate on the floor to block the water exit and it didn't even have a slope, so every time we took a shower the small bathroom was flooded. A shame because it has a private beach just a stone's throw away, and it has lots of restaurants around it, but also because the staff is very, very welcoming and kind. As soon as I arrived, they made me feel welcome, in the morning when we went down to the beach they always greeted us with a smile. They were very good and helpful, they helped us both loading and unloading the suitcases, and I found the girl who speaks Italian there to be very friendly, kind and sweet.

The worst place that I have been to. Breakfast is really poor, there is no hot water if you come back later or at night, rooms are too hot and air conditioning can't be left on as the staff will turn it off as soon as you leave the room. Location is not that bad but on a hill and my car was sprayed with some sort of grease and dirt when they were washing the terrace. Staff does not speak English and there was always something missing, either toilet paper or shampoo or soap. On the last day we were literally evicted from the room at 8am when we went down to eat breakfast and our stuff was brought down before we left the room. You are better off sleeping on the beach instead of here!
