Just brilliant again! Having stayed here over Christmas we love this hotel for it's old Salzburg / Austrian 'charm', the decor, the fit-out of the rooms, the service, the staff, the food and of course the amazing location

It is just a great place to stay and I really can't speak more highly about the hotel as a whole. If you're looking to stay a night or several this is the Hotel of choice to experience Salzburg and all it has to offer

Accommodating, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Porter's are considerate and polite. Location can't be better for old town Salzburg. Would recommend to anyone who is staying for a top of class experience

Great serviced hotel. Very friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast included. The location is awesome, in a cobbled street filled with character. I loved the little chocolates on the pillows each night

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! This place is luxurious and right in the middle of all of the shopping in Salzburg. The restaurant is also very good. We stayed in one of the suites

Great hotel in the heart of the old city. The noise from the street is almost inaudible. Great beds, lovely bathroom. Gorgeous breakfasts.

Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Everyone we spoke to knew German and English. The lobby also offered towels and water for anyone going for a run in the city. The hotel room was bright and clean

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had as I travel through six European countries. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful

Great central position easy access to Mirabel and the old part of the town. The restaurant on the sixt floor is great and food excellent.

Just wonderful, like any historic City Centre Hotel, parking is chargeable, but handled with fearfully by staff. Mix of returned rooms and older, the new ones are a real delight

It has beautiful views of the old part of Salzburg. Our room was recently renovated,the hotel in General is beautiful but a little tired. All the city's attractions within walking distance

We stayed in this hotel in the end october 2017. The experience was unforgetable. We had our 45th mariage aniversary and they treated us as a king and a queen. We felt so well with all the staff

Lived two days in this wonderful historic hotel in the heart of Salzburg. Friendly staff and large rooms with high ceilings and plenty of mirrors. The hotel's no Smoking, but there are rooms with balconies

The hotel is located about 15 mins walk from old town and it takes you through a nice area of town or waterfront promenade. The location is easy to reach by car and has onsite parking available

Great hotel close but not too close to old city. Nice short walk along the river. Nice but simple breakfast available. We had a Jr suite with balcony which is practically an apartment

The location of the hotel is perfect. Only 5 minute walk to the old town. My booking did not include breakfast but, I bet it’s amazing. Parking space is 14 Euro per night

The room we had was top floor with a corner nook perfect for reading while the rain came down. The room was very spacious, very clean and very quiet

Highly recommended 😍✋🏼 overall the hotel is intimate, SUPER cozy

But I didn't enjoy the stay as much this year. The location is just good, just a few minutes walk and you're in the center of Salzburg old town area

The neighbourhood is very quiet, I never heard a sound from the street. There are some places of interests just near the hotel - St Sebastian's Cemetery and the entrance to the Kapuzinerberg

Peaceful neat and clean.good and humble staff.good breakfast.near to market and other places.but no AC. Rooms were small.But very nice and comfortable stay.I will recommend to others.

Great location, really nice and accommodating receptionists here. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel, pharmacy and supermarket across the street which made it even better.

Great hotel with the basic amenities. Rooms where very clean and the staff was helpful. A basic buffet breakfast which was great to get the day started in Salzburg

We had a fantastic panoramic view of Salzburg from our room - I'm sure Salzburg is beautiful at any time of year, but our late October stay was gloriously autumnal and picture-perfect

What a magical place! I only wish we could have stayed longer. My husband and I just came back from a short honeymoon in Austria, and this hotel was truly a highlight

Great service. Very nice interior. Room equipment and amenities was nice. Spa and sauna were exquisit also equiped with small refreshments and drinks for free. Breakfast is delicious. All fresh and bio quality.

In the lobby there was a small fridge with milk, yogurts, juices to pick up anytime we want. Definitely we will come back there. Very nice location, 10 minutes walk to the city center

Centrale location, excellent service, cozy rooms and top breakfast

The aircon was effective and quiet. A herb of pygmy elephants had been allowed into the room above ours, so some stamping and thumping was audible as they moved around. The staff were attentive and effective

Florenz (sp) at the front desk was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with places to shop and stop for drinks and food and any of our requests. The restaurant is amazing and the staff was fantastic

The breakfast buffet had nothing other hotels would not claim, but actually everything was genuinely good quality. The English tea was very good and hot. The fruit was fresh, the croissant buttery

The rooms are not that large but big enough and decorated in an old fashioned but high end style. The bathroom is all mirrors and upmarket. The WiFi is iffy, OK in certain parts, poor in others

Not normally impressed by high end hotels but I enjoyed the Bristol. We paid probably the bottom end of their high prices, at 400 euro a room I might have had a different view

Lovely small clean comfortable hotel in the very city center of Salzburg. Extremly funny friendly staff. Good wi-fi connection. Rooms are well equiped and modern.

Absolutely amazing place! Location is perfect in the old town, lots of beautiful sites to see amd walking around was very safe (solo female traveler) The staff truly go out of their way to welcome you and make you feel at home! They're incredibly helpful from orienting you in the city to helping you with any administration you may need help with! Every part of this hotel has been well thought out...

The staff is very friendly and there are a lot of small things like the free mini bar and really good tea for free. The rooms are modern and stylish. A good way to spend a few days in Salzburg

Very nice gesture.. hotel is pretty nice and close to everything. As a titanium member they gave me a junior suite upgrade.. seen better rooms but overall everyone is friendly. Expensive parking though @ 19€ / night

The club lounge on our floor was clean and we love all the drink options including all the Red Bull flavors. We visited the piano bar in the evening and breakfast was stellar. We especially loved our server Cecilia

We had a terrific stay at the Sheraton Grand Salzburg. The moment we checked in, we could see that the hotel culture was truly, guest focused. Every interaction we had with the staff, they exuded a genuine warmth

Excellent hotel that restored our faith in the Marriott world. Rooms were lovely, location is perfect, and the concierge found us the best dinner spot after we fell for one of the many Salzburg tourist traps

The staff were very helpful and alway pleasant and professional. They went over and above for us, including the manager being super helpful for us when organizing a day trip to the snow on our last day

At first I was not satisfied I contacted the hotel manager named her graf and a djamel employee and together decided to change my room into a high-class suite room. Two amazing people recommended

A beautiful example of old school luxury. Here you will not find credit card door entry, homogeneous design and uniformity

But you cannot beat the very central location of this hotel, as most of Salzburg is reachable on foot. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable

Love this hotel and its just middle of the old city and very close to everything. The staffs very nice and friendly, the buffet was great and the chef was very courtesy and humble for making customize need.

Great location, an easy walk to both the centre and the station. Reception staff very helpful. Good sized, clean room with very comfy bed. Excellent buffet breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at the Goldenes Theater Hotel in Salzburg. The room was large enough for our needs and the bathroom also had plenty of room. The only thing I can't get used to is the bedding

No A/C - this was fixed with a Dyson fan No Fridge - we had to use the bar next door for ice to keep drinks cold No bar/restaurant - hotel reception closes at 2pm after that it’s fend for yourself for everything Value for money was good Overall - great room and location

Sitting on a quite pedestrian-only street, we felt very comfy at this hotel. Rooms are old style but quite impeccable. We chose this for its location - walking distance to Mirabel garden and also the old town

The service is very helpful and friendly, even as we arrived too late due to a delayed train. Free coffee is available throughout the day

Although not a 5-star hotel, it warrants a five star review because of its convenience and very central location, less than a 5 minute walk from the river and the the heart of Salzburg

this is hotel is centered in Salzburg and therefore the best homeground for a cityweekend. I stayed with my family (2 kids) there. Very kind and nice!

That's what's important, right? There isn't much of a view, but you're not going to visit Salzburg from your window. The room has a nice shower and comfortable bed. The staff is polite and friendly

The rooms were cute and modern by US standards. The beds we're a little soft, but the hotel staff was incredible. I'm not sure there are more helpful people on this planet.

Clean rooms. We stayed in the superior rooms which was very spacious. Location is great, 5 minutes walking from both the city center and central station. Neighborhood is safe when it is dark.

Stayed 3 night. Very helpful reception staff. Very good restaurant for evening meals. Breakfast food good but staff no help in finding a table when busy. Quite central only a short walk to central of the old city.

But it was fine later on and in the night, keeping the windows open as much as we could. Pros: Absolutely loved the free tea and coffee in the room. The bath tub was very nice to have

Only con: the room was very warm when we arrived with no chance of fast cooling as you can't open the windows fully and it was probably too cold outside for the A/C to do work

We stayed for 2 nights and thought it was brilliant staff were lovely. The hotel was clean and pristine not far from the town. would definitely recommend staying there

my only issue was that it was very hot in the room but we opened the window and it was fine. if I ever go back to Salzburg I will be staying there again

I had some breakfast at the rooftop and it is also tasty but I think not the best for this pricing. I highly recommend going on the rooftop at the evening because of the look at the city!

It is one of the best places to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the city of Salzburg. Hotel Stein is extremely centrally located and almost ideal for a rest during a busy shopping or sightseeing day
