Overall good, but a very strong paint smell in the room, there also was a bad smell coming from toilet. There was a large spider on the wall in the bathroom. The balcony was very dirty as if it has never been cleaned. But the customer desk personnel were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Next stay we will book an apartment room instead of single room. But overall it was pleasant apart from the...
A well presented accommodation with everything you need. I really liked the front desk hours. They are open till 10.30 pm. The only setback was that the wi fi didn't work.
Great hotel and amazing restaurant. An easy 20-minute walk into Cairns.
The room facilities are relatively old and the lights are dim. Slippers and toothbrushes are not provided. Shower gel and shampoo are of poor quality. The room was on the first floor and there was noise. It should be the sound of the air conditioner engine or other machinery. The breakfast is simple and does not provide the delicacies of various countries. It only has bread, fruits and some drinks...
3 nights sleep at this hotel was super comfy and very convenient. Thank you to the friendly staff ❤️

I had the best stay at Abbott Hotel! Lovely and clean rooms in an absolutely perfect location. Super quick walk to everything - restaurants, bars, docks for boat trips, Daintree pick ups, etc. The highlight though was the staff, they were so incredibly kind and friendly. Special shout out to the manager, Peter, for making my time there so memorable. We would chat every time I passed the desk, and it...
Great communication and organisation resulted in a hassle-free late check in. Extremely competitive pricing - location, convenience, cleanliness and high customer service. The Manager, Peter was very friendly and accommodating! The team at the Abbott Boutique Hotel really cares about their guests and it shows. Highly recommend!
Abbott was well appointed with the best location in Cairns. We were in walking distance of the coast, harbour, shopping and restaurant areas. The manager, Peter, was warm and helpful, telling us of the local history of the place and helping with directions to anything we needed help with. He checked us in early and gave us a upgrade to enable it!! Extremely gracious. We would definitely recommend...
We required a room at very short notice. Within 10 minutes of calling we were able to check in. Peter was super helpful with our enquiry and last minute request. We weren’t sure what to expect and were absolutely impressed with the hotel and the room. Location is fantastic, close to literally everything you need. On our final day we were able to have a super late check out. 10/10. Highly recommended...
This is a charming historic hotel, brought up to date with modern conveniences. It is within easy walking distance to most major tourist attractions, dozens of bars and restaurants and a large grocery store. Peter Wright, the manager was extremely helpful in guiding us during our stay and booking our tours. He was very friendly, and we had many great conversations. We had an excellent time in Cairns...

almost across the road from the race course 5 minutes walking distance
This place is very nice. My room was nice & clean & the person at the reception was helpful & lovely. It is close to Earville Shopping Centre & near Cannon Race Course. Good place to stay when the Amathers horse racing is on. You can drink & just walk back to the Motel. Beside the Motel is a very nice Chinese restaurant. The name of it is Pearl Garden. The food is very nice from there.
Such clean rooms, staff so lovely. Bed very comfy & great size TV. Definitely recommend.
Lovely appointed rooms for a Motel. It's on the southern end of Cairns, so about a 10-15 drive from the city. However, there is a large shopping centre just down the road. Ideally situated for people who love the ponies. Canon Park Racecourse is just across the road.
The rooms were definitely beautiful, great work cannon park staff.
Great place to stop if you are a tradie needing to rest! Clean and well maintained and the owners are warm and inviting.

Yo, this place is incredible!! I love it! Super spacious rooms?? Yes please, sign me up!! Wonderful people there. The staff will make you laugh, and join you in kickass times. Really fun, family vibe with good day trips to the beautiful surrounding nature. I love these people and this place
I really enjoyed staying here! The owner, Wayne, was incredibly friendly, which was so nice to have as a solo traveler. He was able to give me some great suggestions and I was able to book my excursions through the hostel, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. On the days I was local, the location, only a 15-20 minute walk from town, was ideal. My hostel room was clean and comfortable. The hostel is...

It’s been an affordable, reliable go-to hotel for us in Cairns over the past few years. The staff are always accomodating and happy to make any adjustments. The rooms are a bit tired though and detail isn’t really a priority. Book ahead to get the floor level and room that suits.
Great place to stay. I had a large suite room with lovely bathroom with bath tub. Did find the mattress to be a bit firm for my liking. The location is a good 17 min walk to waterfront and can be a bit much if walking during hot months. Pool was lovely but could have done with a bit more greenery and sun umbrellas around the pool area. Overall parts looked a bit tired, but generally a tidy clean...
A very well set up apartment, with a large, clean and comfortable room, which made our week here most enjoyable. The pool is large and a great asset on a hot day. Check in was quick and the staff always friendly & helpful. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Cairns.
Friendly staff, nice apartments, central location. Clean. Fair bit of traffic noise and old noisy ducted air con but other than that pretty good. I would consider staying there again. Secure off street parking.
This was our second visit. Can’t wait till next year. Our room was lovely, the facilities in it were spot on and the king size bed bed was super comfortable. The bathroom is huge with a shower and separate bath, if that’s your thing. The pool is huge and very well maintained. Free parking and the location was perfect. Location was okay, a block from the mall and about 1 km from the main street of Cairns. Plenty to do nearby during the day, at night the area is quiet. Rooms were nice with AC and fans. Only thing was the shared bathroom and toilet and made this place more of a hostel than an bed and breakfast.

Fabulous I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the apartment with kitchen. I always look for an apartment with a bath and Tropic Towers didn’t disappoint.
This property was great value, and very spacious with a lovely little bath to soak in, while taking in the bird sounds, and the swaying palms overlooking the balcony. Close to town, but set apart from the main busy area, it was perfect for our stay, and was even better than we had imagined. Check in process was easy and seamless. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Great value Really impressed, staff were delightful, place was clean. Great price for the size and facilities in the room. Not too far of a walk from groceries or restaurants. Only 20-30 min walk to the esplanade. Would recommend.
Property was in good condition for its age. Staff was kind and helpful 👌 Alittle far to walk to Esplanade central need a car. But it was good value for money
Couldn’t wish for a better apartment as it was so well-equipped, clean, furnished, had a great view from our 4th floor apartment to the sea & mountains, and the bonus was a washer & drier - free! - in the bathroom! We would highly recommend these apartments!

Very cost-effective, complete facilities, spacious rooms, convenient transportation
I had to stay in Cairns for one night, so I chose this motel. It's not very clean, but I guess that's how it is for motels overseas.
It’s central and it’s cheap. The rooms are comfy and clean. In other words it’s exactly what it says it is. It’s nothing special but it certainly doesn’t loose any stars for that.
Great budget option for staying in Cairns. Rooms are a bit dated but still comfortable and reasonably quiet most of the time. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We arrived late in the evening after flight up from Melbourne. After hours staff were required to be contacted and assist us for an unforeseen issue. They assisted as best they could at the time. Day staff and owner Dan amazing and could not be more helpful.will definitely book in again here purely on how good the team were

Great hostel, lovely short walk along waterfront to town. Our private room was fantastic, very quiet. Friendly helpful manager. Well equipped clean kitchens, pool lovely also. Highly recommend. 😁
A great clean place especially for the price. Staff was super friendly and you can get food vouchers athletic front desk every day! I got a private room for myself and my friend and the room was huge, and I've stayed at a few different hostels. They'd also come with an aircon as well. The showered are small, and water pressure not the greatest, but the waters hot and there's almost no one ever in there...
Nice place to stay for a few nights in Cairns. The staff is very familiar and helpful. It is very close from the city center. You can get a lot of informations about events (we have taken I diving trip). The staff had help us with our broken charger.
We were not 100% impressed with Caravella. We had a private room but for the price we wish we signed up for a hotel instead. The bathrooms and room were reasonably clean for a hostel but for $80+ per night, we should've gone for a hotel. They have a kitchen and other facilities, but we didn't really use them. The restaurant at the front, however, is really good!

Location was good, weird configuration with spa right beside bed.  Pretty ordinary for cleanliness eg mould in grout in shower and tiles in room seemed to be greasy or something (you could see the imprint of your shoe).
Our room wasn’t ready at 3pm so they moved us . The room was not very clean, very outdated, some rubbish under the bed, looked like a blood stain or 2 on the shower curtain, 2 sachets of coffee, dessert spoons for teaspoons, nearly moved rebooked but due to a very early medical appointment just around the corner - we stayed.  Will not stay here again.
A basic hotel but has enough for a few days. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and happy to help. The rooms are a little outdated but it didn’t affect our stay, just know that it is not a luxury stay by any means but it is enough and the rooms are equipped with a microwave and kettle which is handy when travelling!
Molds on Walls and ceiling, AC outlet sockets are so limited. One on the top of fridge basically cannot be used if you are using a bigger plug or device. No other sockets close to the bed for charging phones at all.. Good thing is hot water is good..
I always enjoy staying here, when needing accommodation this is one of my first options. Staff are always friendly and helpful, parking on the property and the hotel isn't massive so you don't have far to walk to and from to unload/pack the car which for me is a big plus! Rooms are ALWAYS clean can't fault them.
Average cleaning, the balcony should be a part of the room to be cleaned too. The room was fine ,the spring mattress I usually don’t like was fine to sleep on. I had an overall good experience at this hostel but the rooms were uncomfortably warm & damp. Not sure if that reflects an issue with the ventilation/air conditioning on 1st floor or it's just the reality of living in the tropics in general, but it greatly affected the quality of my sleep. I didn't stay here but the pub is around the corner from my hotel. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. T-bone specoal.on tuesdays is a bargain. Staff are very friendly and food is quick. We stayed with my friends one night and everything was so good. It was our last day before returning the van we rented and the staff treated us really well although the mess we made with it. Also excellent facilities and very friendly people staying. Literally the best hostel I went in Australia, deeply recommend it.
Really comfortable stay, the hotel manager Kevin made my time there really pleasant. There's a good self service breakfast that got my day started. This was also one of the cheapest stays I could find too. Clean tidy, and the wifi worked nicely. Highly recommended
A really awesome hostel!! What a vibe. They got a really good common area and very fast free Internet. Also the showers and toilets were by far the cleanest I've ever seen them in any hostel I've visited so far in Australia.
