Was alright, though the staff could be friendlier and the breakfast food could have been better (quality-wise).

Location is conveniently accessible to the attractions of Cairns and their hotel is super comfortable and with easy check on system with their friendly staff

Our stay was excellent and hotel is located on walking distance to all the great restaurants.

From Check in to check out, the service was seamless. Dinner at the Italian Restaurant was beautiful and the meal came quickly. Breakfast at the Poolside Restaurant was good. I am very fussy about my eggs, they were perfect and it came out quickly.

We spent the night before we left for the airport which was nice and close. Pools were great and we were lucky enough to get a room upgrade which was really nice. The place itself could do with some updating but it is the perfect spot to keep the kids entertained!!

Nice big room. Clean and surrounded by lush gardens. Food at the poolside bar wasn’t great but the pool itself was lovely.

Great place to stay with families. We were there just after Easter and was not too busy. The resort is clean & has 3 pools to choose from. A nice café & Italian within. The rooms are a bit basic however they do the job as you are out most of the day, plus they are not noisy! Transport to the CBD is super convenient and only costs 50c on the bus. Would definitely go back.

Great pool, very clean , excellent breakfast , yummy cocktails , dinner was amazing.  Only one thing bad was the pool sun lounges, the are very uncomfortable I had to sit in a bean bag.  Just to add gluten free eating for coeliacs was great seperate toaster for breaky and freshly cooked eggs and bacon on request. Very happy !!

The breakfast was decent with a wide western selection and a small asian section, the kids loved the nutella machine! There's waffles and pan cakes and also a salad bar. The bread selection was quite good too and a virgin blood mary!

My first room in building C was awful with the view of the opposite hotel. I could literally watch what other people did in their room and they could watch me as well. Perfect location for us with needing to be at the Tobruk pool every day for competition. It is in walking distance. We had a beautifully renovated and furnished 2 bedroom apartment. The grounds are very well kept and the pool areas beautifully nestled into the resort. It was nice and quiet. We would definitely return.

Well, it's not a resort as I know it. I would call it a gated community. It seems that units are owned and rented out. We checked in at night, which was a very bad move. While staff were helpful with directions, the place is poorly lit. Signs to the various buildings were small and impossible to read in the dark. We had to get assistance from staff after driving around the place for twenty minutes...

Just spent a week here with the family using The Lakes as a base and could not be happier with the service. From check in till check out we were well looked after. Our apartment was beautifully set up and the resort pools were great. For being such a large complex there was very little noise from other guests. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Great size apartment on the 2nd floor with all the facilities we required as a family. Pools were fantastic and our kids had lots of fun swimming in all the different ones.

I booked for a seaview room but was given a carpark and a corner bit of seaview. Felt ripped off. I was staying in 1061. Pls avoid this if you have booked for seaview room. This room should not be sold as a sea view room. We certainly got a lot of tree views!

View from the room looks really good. It is 1km walking distance to everything including bars restaurants ferry supermarket and public swimming pools. 1 dollar day pass bus is available and there is a stop behind the hotel. But if you do not want to walk for hundreds meters or 1km, the location is not good for you.

Despite our late-night arrival, Jack, the waiter, displayed exceptional kindness, and the check-in process was efficiently handled. The hotel's central location proves to be highly advantageous, but it is worth mentioning that the lighting in the room was somewhat dim. Regrettably, the absence of toiletries was a minor inconvenience.

Comfortable enough room but Wifi is unusably slow and big lump In the old bed. Not happy with pre-check in or check in process - just a massive up-sell. hotel does not accept cash but charges exorbitant card use fees (scam). Beware. Fair welcome and friendly approach. They have the dinner only pre defined menu which you can access via QR code they supplied. But you can order only up to 2000. And the breakfast served in the restaurant which you can find average selection which was good by the quality. Checking out was smooth and overall stay was comfortable.

My stay at the hotel was decent overall, offering good value for the price. The facilities were satisfactory, and the service met my expectations. However, I would recommend requesting a room on the quiet street side rather than facing the highway. The rooms on the highway side can be quite noisy, which might affect your comfort during the stay.

The hotel was extremely customer friendly. We had booked an ocean view room and they initially did not put us in that. When we went to get it corrected, they not only put us in an oceanview room but also gave us free breakfast for two days. The staff was incredibly friendly. Although some parts were dirty, the price, service and location were good. If you are going on a tour of the Great Barrier Reef, it is a good choice as the cruise departs and arrives nearby.

Amazing place had everything we needed and more. Pillows and mattress were to perfection. Room service was on point and fast. The hotel’s location is great, but we had a few inconveniences. irst, the room phone wasn’t working. I informed the front desk, and they said it would be repaired, but it never was. Then, the alarm went off in the middle of the night, and we were told it was just a test. Testing in the middle of the night was very inconvenient. We couldn’t get back to sleep afterward.

The Hilton Double Tree is in a perfect location, being within walking distance of Cairns City points of interest. The hotel is clean and the beds are super comfortable. Good location, only a very short walk to the sea from walk along the esplanade. The breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly. There's an activities desk in reception and they offer plenty of choice.

The room was very clean. However, the walls were a little thin, so you could hear a lot of noise from the next room. I was woken up at around 3am by the sound of the shower in the next room. It took about 40 minutes to walk to the center of Cairns. It was hard to walk in the hot sun, but it was good exercise. The staff at Pronto were all very polite and helpful. We were late arriving, which I had notified the property of. When checking in the guy at the desk was not the Aussie welcome I’d expected. He was short and dismissive. We left quite early the next morning and the same person ‘Russell’ was on reception and showed little regard or gratitude for our stay. It felt as though we were an inconvenience to him us being there. The room itself was pleasant.

Everything else is OK, but the hot water bottle contains leftover water from previous customers, which is a penalty.

Easy check in / check out process. There's a $100 security deposit hold on your credit card which I'm not a huge fan of, but the rooms were clean and pretty nice considering the cost and the area. Wi-Fi is not great but serves basic functions, beds are not super comfortable. Would probably stay again if I'm back in Cairns.

I like everything about the hotel,excellent location,staff friendly and very helpful,only thing i didn’t like was the pool,very cold,especially the spa,i have never experienced cold spa.

The facilities are very old. The terrace on the second floor is very large and you can see the fireworks. It is troublesome to go downstairs to get towels.

Overall we had a good stay here but found the housekeeping policy very strange. There is no housekeeping unless you pay for it (or stay for 8 days). We could change our towels personally at the front desk but were requested to take out our own trash and had no way of vacuuming after a long stay. However, the room was adequate and we very much enjoyed the location, which couldn’t have been better.

The hotel is close to the pier. Behind the hotel is the only Chinese restaurant in Cairns, Chuan Xiang Yuan, and a supermarket. Opposite the hotel is a public swimming pool. The hotel suites are quite good and large enough. The suites are equipped with complete kitchenware and tableware, as well as washing machines and dryers. The only drawback of the hotel is that cleaning is charged separately.

Nice room, booked through agoda, 388 for 3 nights n breakfast, nice hot breakfast. Nice pool, but could not find the button for the spa, the dryer didn't work in the room.

Cheap rooms very nice view of the ocean and mountains. comfortable beds and a buffet downstairs for breakfast and dinner. But you do have to pay an extra $100 deposit to get your room keys which they dont tell you when you book the rooms.

Stayed here with my partner and son. One queen bed 1 single. Room had aircon, microwave, toaster and a fan. Easy to keep cool as it's a small room. Has a private shower and toilet. Bit annoying as booked through booking.com and the pictures advertised showed a room with a cooker which is why we booked realised when we got there we didn't have that. First time stayed at Cairns City Palms & was pleasantly surprised how clean the rooms were. Great location, rooms were nice & clean, friendly management, every morning they had free coffee & cakes for guests. Will definitely stay here again 😊

Right on the Esplanade. Good walking distance to the Lagoon (about a mile). However there is a van service to downtown (stop at Night Market) for those who don’t want to walk.
