Easily one of the best hostels in Australia. The owners are on-site and you can feel how passionate they are about their business. So much attention to detail to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Plenty of areas to relax and hang out. Helpful and kind. I definitely recommend to stay here if you are in Cairns.

Tropic Days was a dreamy little oasis that felt more like a share house of friends rather than a hostel. Cleaned daily and to a higher standard than I have seen at any other hostel, the share facilities such as the kitchens and bathrooms were fantastic. Make sure you check out the air conditioning unit in room 10, I'm pretty sure it pre-dates Captain Cook's arrival.

Reasonable, the room itself was good, but it got very hot during the day and the air conditioning was one of those old ones that wasn't up to the task during the day. The hostel itself is very well located, but there were a lot of cockroaches, especially in the kitchen. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest either, but everything was ok.

Had a lovely time at this place! We stayed in the private double bed room & it was really lovely & clean. We were really impressed

Highly recommend Cairns City Backpackers - the staff were friendly Roz went above and beyond during my stay. Very close to the mall with everything you need and a lovely walk to the waterfront. Overall tidy, quite spot for my two week stay!

one of the nicest hostels ive stayed at within the cairns region, whent with a freind and stayed in a private room, the staff were super friendly and helpful, we came to go to the cairns show and we could see the fireworks better from the hostel then we did at the show. they do have a really friendly cat that hangs around within the common areas with for me is a majour plus. i plan to come back here...

The place is nice and accessible to all the shopping centre and near to bus and train station. The staff and the people are nice and during the night is so quiet. My only concern is no mirror inside the room.. all in all it is good place to stay.

The location was good and the hostel common areas were nice. The private room was nice and clean. However, the shower areas were not very clean antes the bathrooms seemed to not have been cleaned regularly. Same with some kitchen equipment. We also were at the door at the check in time and no one replied on the booking webpage or opened the door either. The owner was nice after all either way.

I was able to request early check-in for free using the contact information email I had purchased on Trip.com. It took 15 minutes by taxi from the airport, costing about $45. You can walk to the port to Green Island, the place where you can hold koalas, the supermarket, and anywhere in the city center. I was grateful for the self-check-out arrangement. The room was clean, and there was a shopping mall right in front of the hotel, so it was very convenient! They also helped us call a taxi for the way back, which was very kind.

An enormous 3 BR apartment with everything you need in best location, right next to a huge shopping centre. Straight short walk to the marina through the unique scenery of Cairns. Our apartment was clean and basic and guarantees a good holiday at an affordable price. We arrived very early and were able to leave our luggage at the reception. Check in was an hour earlier than expected and very friendly

Convenient location, large room, high cost performance.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Clarendon on Spence. Huge 2 bedroom two bathroom. Very clean spacious. Everything you need in the kitchen. Across the road to Cairns central shopping centre. Walking distance to Railway, pub and buses nearby. Anna was lovely. Would I stay here again.? Yes I would. 10 out of 10.

I loved my stay at this hostel. The staff and the other guests were very friendly and there was a great atmosphere. The hostel has a pool and a free gym access. Furthermore, you get free breakfast every day, which includes fresh pancakes. The rooms get cleaned daily and the hostel is very tidy and clean in general. I can highly recommend a stay there!

Great hostel! Stayed there for over 3 months and absolutely loved it! Rooms are great, everything is clean and tidy and staff is super friendly! Included breakfast is so nice and even has pancakes during the week. Joel and DeeDee helped us out loads during our stay, they were the best! 🤙

Great place where to stay at Cairns. Good toilets and showers. Rest room and laundry room. Big kitchen place with barbecue and picnics tables. Many fridges. Centre of the Cairns 30 minutes by walk or 7 min by bus from near stop.

Very central to the tourist hub of Cairns. Great pet friendly facility with nice pool and amenities block and large kitchen. Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner, otherwise we had the perfect stay!

It's not bad. Half decent caravan park. The pool is a bit too small and the amenities could do with deep cleanings. The cabins are very clean for a caravan park. Not the best but definitely not the worst.

One of the best parks I have stayed at in Aus. Lovely staff, super clean amenities, awesome camp kitchen.. and fair pricing. We stayed with our 2 dogs and we even got a little dog bag with treats and poop bags. Love this place!

Spent three nights over Christmas at this wonderful serene and welcoming place. Had the best time enjoying the beautiful garden and private room. Exceptionally clean bathrooms and kitchens. This hostel is amazing it’s quiet, relaxing environment with loads of communal space and a nice pool area. It also has an outdoor shower which I’ve never seen at any other hostel. There are three kitchens so you also always have space to cook and are never waiting on others unlike other hostels I’ve stayed at without enough facilities. Such a great hostel! The facilities aren't short of anything (they even have some gym equipment, weights etc.) The staff are super friendly and fun and the vibe is really chill ad relaxed. Only thing to note is that you have to pay $1/3 hours to use the aircon in the rooms.

A good clean affordable place to stay. The room was larger than I expected, which was a bonus. You will be sharing the showers and toilets, but hey, if the name of the place doesnt give that away....😏. Car parking is an issue😨. Good location, easy walk to cairns central. Yes i would stay there again if I was passing through cairns on my own.

We planned to stay just two nights but extended to one week because we loved the hostel so much! The pool is awesome, the hostel has a great vibe with lots of young people and it’s pretty close to the city centre. Great value for the price with breakfast included!!!! Will come back!

Amazing place, very social atmosphere, good n free wifi and 15$ per night is a dealmaker. Many bathrooms per tenant so they are pretty fresh too. But a small kitchen. Party hostel, so loud nights ofc

This hostel always has a good vibe, music playing all day so you can chill out and have a good time with all the amazing friends you meet from all over the world. The hostel is clean and the management are so friendly, always there to help. Centeral location so can walk every where. Even with the rain there’s lots of people Around so never a boring moment! Recommend, especially for the price!

Absolutely amazing! Very social hostel, great for long or short stays, it is 10/10 for location as pub, bars, clubs and the esplanade are all in short walking distance. Leigh the manager ensures the hostel is always clean and tidy and all staff are very helpful and jolly! 10/10 recommend this hostel over any other ?

It's a perfect place to stay! I like the garden and the swimmingpool. It's close to the citycenter. Only in the evening/night staff likes to join the party people in the garden and that can become late before it's totaly calm.... ;)

For $15 per night its perfect. A comfortable bed, hot showers and clean rooms. The garden area is a very social and cool place to hang out. All guests and staff very friendly and welcoming. Great location too !

I have not stayed at this Girls hostel, I have met a lot of people while I was in the cafe having breakfast on a number of times since the cafe owner Mario & his lovely wife looked after the girl's hostel. The girls use to say that it was close to the city, clean place, and a friendly atmosphere. I am sorry to tell everyone the Girl's Hostel has been closed for 2 weeks. I was told it will not open...
