Very understaffed on a Sunday night. Staff on duty did the best they could but definitely needed more people on board. O e person taking meal orders, delivering meals and pourinh drinks was not enough.
Fantastic pub, excellent atmosphere especially the friday and saturday night of the Newcastle 500 V8 Supercar event and Macgreggor vs Mayweather fight! Plenty of space both upstairs and down, ping pong table for fun nights, great entertainment and incredible affordable food! The $10 Snitzels are bloody awesome. The staff are wonderful and caring. The owner / manager i spoke to saturday night was a...
Food and service are great. 4 stars because there is always something even if 1% to improve from where you are. Overall worth returning
Want to thank management and staff for taking care of our group after the V8 races yesterday. Band was pumping drinks were cold. Don't go to the brewery this is the place to be after the races. Cheers guys had a great time

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't organize the earlier check-in, the concierge still managed to give me the room for me. The valet parking service was very good to have my car available whenever I need at very short waiting time.
Professional, friendly and helpful staff. Their hall room was well equipped, clear sound through the speakers and note pads provided for note taking. Apparently for $15 they an provide all day parking and move your car off site and return it when required. It cost me more feeding the meter all day.
The waitstaff in the evenings at seasalt made dinner really feel like a special experience. The quality of the menu was very good, plus they have a large selection of wines and cocktails available. The breakfast dining experience does not reach the same level of professionalism, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a wide variety of food choices available, but the character of the same...
I really, really liked staying here. I loved swimming in the pool and I had a great dinner at the restaurant. An interesting book in the room had info about the BHP steel mill that used to occupy this site. I had a great time here.
The Crowne Plaza Newcastle is definitely one of the better options for the city if not at the upper end of the budget. The staff are very helpful although check-out is a bit chaotic with numerous people checking out and trying to get cars out of valet parking. Room service good quality and service.

The service was great and so were the rooms very quiet considering how close it is to the airport. However, the restaurant was disappointing... Paying $34 for a pretty average 'butter chicken' curry served in k-mart anko bowls is not a good look.
If you need to be close to the airport, it’s great. The staff are absolute sweethearts and happy to help you in any way they can. There’s not a lot around for food in Williamtown but the food I got at the restaurant was absolutely delicious.
The person at check in asked too many personal questions about my travel plans and made me feel creeped out as a single female traveler. Other staff were great. Meals were good and easy check out. Hotel was quiet. Room was basic for the price. No bottled water, minibar or toiletries included. Nothing else around there except the airport. You need a car to get to the terminal as quite a long walk and...
Mercure Williamtown I just wanted to pass on my feedback from my recent stay at the Airport Mercure in Williamtown. To say they were amazing is an understatement. I called before booking to make sure I could book 2 rooms side by side as my daughter was recovering from emergency surgery. Spoke to a gentleman named Rob and nothing was too much trouble. On arrival the next day We were welcomed by Rob...
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good-sized rooms. Restaurant dining was excellent. Although my Platinum welcome letter and amenity was not evident, the only real (but minor) negative was room maintenance/house cleaning missing the fact a bed lamp had not been functioning and a tissue box was empty (despite being purposely left out for obvious replacement). Overall, it was an excellent stay.
I’ll start by saying, all the staff were wonderful. However the building itself needs a freshen up. The arm chairs in the restaurant had staining on the arm rests and there was a strange looking black mould looking stain on the roof tiles. The rooms themselves were clean enough, but the shower screen doesn’t come far enough up, so water gets sprayed everywhere when having a shower. Dinner was okay...

Amazing Always a pleasure to stay here, has everything you need in facilities and services.
Excellent service checking in and room was clean. Only minor issues like the desk lamp having no bulb and second shower head broken but overall great room regardless. Very quiet area and plenty of off street parking with the overflow option into Wests.
The staff at the Gateway are welcoming and obliging. While the rooms are a bit on the shabby side for an overnight or couple of nights it’s fine. Hospitality
Our recent stay at Gateway Inn over the weekend was a pleasant experience. The room was generously spacious, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet—perfect for relaxation. There was plenty of parking available, which added to the convenience. The provision of ample tea, coffee, and biscuits was a thoughtful touch, and having restaurants on-site was a big plus....
Liked the spa bath and the double shower. The air conditioning ******, room was like a freezer. The tap configuration on the spa bath is wrong.
When we got there the staff at the reception desk was very accommodating and very friendly. The room was very nice and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. That is the 2nd time we have stayed there and we will be going back again. Thanking you.

Jesmond Executive Villas
Newcastle, 189-193 Newcastle Road, Jesmond 🧭 Map
Located right at the southern end of the city bypass, Jesmond is located in a prime position for easy access to the western suburbs of Newcastle. Access is via a pin-pad instead of a key, which is a novelty, and there are outdoor cameras everywhere. The apartments are somewhat sterile in appearance, and the TV in the lounge room was mounted ridiculously high, so much so that you can't watch TV without...
Nice place to stay. Pretty clean rooms. Ours had a kitchenette. Stayed in a two bedroom appartment. Nice for a little break away
A clean, modern and simple place to stay on the arterial roads through Newcastle - but you get what you pay for - the studio we had around the back was clearly an optional add-on flat for the larger room next door, and the door between them was uninsulated and paper thin, meaning we heard every word from the loud family behind us. Probably won't be back personally - but if you're looking for a modern...
Apartment was spacious. Big room, living area. Tiny kitchen. Nice bathroom. However the pool and spa are disgusting. One lady at the front desk in particular was very loud, rude and annoying. They were talking about other customers rudely. Will not be staying here again.
A frequent visitor, this was our first time staying in a large studio. Check in was quick & polite as per usual. But finding our accommodation was challenging as the signal was not clear. Parking was also not clearly marked, encouraging other guests to park in a way that prevented others from doing so. The room was a converted shipping container & was well done. However we shared the room with a couple...

We stayed here for one night, so can't comment on anything too much other than the room. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with balcony. Staff were generally friendly and helpful during check in. The room was clean, and well appointed, however the balcony clearly had not been hosed or mopped since a previous guest had spilled drinks out there. Bed's were a little too soft, but were otherwise...
Big enough 2 bedroom apartment but the balcony just overlooks a car park.
Good hotel, sadly no longer doing a full breakfast service and are only doing a grab-and-go breakfast now, nice rooms
Location is amazing. Right opposite the water. Rooms are a good size. Shower is huge. My kids favourite part would be the pool. Have stayed twice now & will again.
Great location, only a short walk to the water and heaps of choices for restaurants. Rooms have everything you need and are tidy. Staff member on check-in was great but was disappointed with service when checking out.

Great location amongst cafes and restaurants, short walk to Newcastle's CBD and beautiful coastal walk to Nobby's.
Cannot recommend highly enough!!! Will definately return when in Newcastle again!! Room was excellent, with full kitchen, large lounge area and balcony, bathroom large shower. Everything clean and comfortable. Loved the secure, easy accessible undercover carpark. Staff could not do enough for us and always with a smile!! Thankyou for an amazing stay!! Location awesome- heaps of cafes & restaurants...
Large apartment, very clean and bright. Fantastic location.
Decent rooms. Hard to park anywhere near it to check in because it's on a very busy road, and the hotel parking is off site and hard to find. Service was excellent however.
We stayed 2 nights in a 1 brm apartment, the rooms were nice and big and airy and very well equipped with everything you need, plates cups cooking stuff, microwave full size fridge and dishwasher, everything appeared clean, we also loved the location restaurants and bars and beaches all within walking distance, staff were lovely and helpful, loved my stay and I will be back!

There is no air circulation and it feels like it is not cleaned well. There were hair stains on the sheets.
Had a very comfortable stay. The location was perfect, and the place was very neat and tidy.
Comfortable, neat, clean and tidy apartment with everything you may need for a self-catering get up & go. Staff always pleasant and helpful. A short drive from the beach & a short walk from shopping mall.
Quiet back street location next to a primary school. Delightful apartments with every amenity considered by a decent architect. We would definitely stay there again. An excellent place to call home for the night.

A spacious 2 bedroom apartment that had all we needed for our weekend of basketball. It was also conveniently located near the courts. The beds very comfortable, bathroom clean with underfloor heating. A spacious living area & all we needed in the kitchen. A washing machine, dryer. A balcony off the main bedroom with a small courtyard front & back. Off street parking with a garage. Friendly helpful...
Apartment was everything we wanted for our holiday stay. Clean, large spaces, 2 outdoor areas, and a stone throw away to many great cafes, eateries and beaches. Staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back.
The beds were clean, however the very first thing we found out was that the washing machine cannt be turned on. We called customer service and a lady told us that she would come in in a minutes but she never turned up. The second thing we found was the air conditioner shuts down every 15 minutes, and I had to mannaully turned it on to keep the room tempatature down so my kids can fell asleep. Luckily...
Newcastle. Nice apartment. Good amenities. Narrow driveway.
Nice apartments. Stairs difficult for small children though. Narrow garage. Appreciated that they had Portacots for my twins toddlers which fit nicely with plenty of space in the second room. Unlimited internet is great

Honestly you get what you pay for not the best bathroom and bed but it’s alright if you on a budget. They didn’t clean the room on the weekends so had to do it ourselves
i understand that it’s a budget hotel however the room that i stayed was was too dusty.
It was good the cleanness wasn't good because as soon as I opened my blanket I saw a big pile of hair and saw other black particles coming out. The smell was also very concerning because I could smell something really bad that almost ended me to throw up but otherwise it was a good night sleep.
Stayed many times in this location. Very good hotel and easy access for all.
Clean, functional - serves its purpose. No frills but everything you need.
When we arrived, we were served by a very friendly desk receptionist who was very polite. We had the perfect room as we were placed where we could come in and go out without any hassle. The room was very comfortable and we were able to see our car as it was parked outside our room. Very greatful. Thanks

I stayed here for 4 nights in July. This accommodation indeed lives up to the reviews. It’s not plush by any means, but is spacious, clean, and well appointed. The apartment is a two story townhouse. Downstairs is the main living area, full-size kitchen, laundry, additional toilet and access to the garage. The living room is furnished with dining table and chairs, leather couch, coffee table. Clean, spacious with all necessities required in an apartment. Great location for our purposes with good takeaway food close by. Have stayed here more than once and would happily stay again. No problems with booking and access process.
Great location, close to shopping, pub, neighbourhood takeaway food shop. Parking onsite. Very clean, laundry with washing machine and dryer. Kitchen had everything we needed and a large fridge. Check in information was provided before 2pm and went very smoothly. Each unit has a garage for on site parking. We will definitely stay again if we need a 2 br apartment.
Villas were awesome comfortable and private. Backyard as well, shower not great but would definitely stay again. Nice and clean
Spacious The accommodation was great for a quick family getaway, nice and spacious. It needs a pest-contol treatment though as there were a lot of ants around when we first arrived, some roaches and at least 1 huntsman spider in the master bedroom wardrobe.
Great communication. Hassle free stay. Everything we needed for a clean and comfortable stop over on our way up the coast and back again.

Plenty of space being a two-story townhouse. The bedrooms were comfy. You were close to everything and easy to get an Uber to get around. The only negative we went to make breakfast and there wasn’t enough dinning plates or sharp knives to cut anything. More glassware would be great.
The property was clean, roomy and well appointed. We had some difficulty getting the access code prior to arrival as the phone line was very busy. Management would be advised to ask the cleaning staff to speak quietly outside the units. Despite this I would definitely stay again. Great value for money.
Easy distance to the sporting venue I was attending on the weekend and close to shops.
In spite of being the front unit on a busy street in the unit the traffic noise was negligible
Very clean and comfortable in a convenient location. However, the apartment lacked cutlery in the kitchen & no globe in the bedside light. Would recommend checking some of the amenities
Nice and basic accommodation, no more and no less than what we needed for our stay, we didn't spend much time at the apartment, bed was a bit uncomfortable though, otherwise it was ok, will stay again as family live close by.

Never been to the pub before, pleasantly surprised. Unable to provide a few dishes from there menu but otherwise really good food, pleasant staff & a good atmosphere.
Came here for dinner and drinks with friends after the revamp they have done. Food was amazing, had a Southern Fried chicken burger which on point and really good cost for what I got as well. Only part I would actually change about the burger is the pickle that was included - it was just held on top of the burger by a toothpick, would have seen this sliced properly and added to the burger itself
Edit : Has undergone a major renovation! Looks excellent. Staff are very friendly in bottle shop, restaurant and bar. Kids have a ball in the playground, which is pretty decent compared to most in the hunter. I love the restaurant specials, the locals are always a friendly and happy bunch. I'm always glad to go back time and time again.
Inexpensive hotel near the main road. Restaurant with tasty food for a reasonable price. Shopping markt and a small casino included. All the time lively operation. Pretty amazing.
Excellent. Especially the blond hottie working behind bar.
Shortland Hotel Bistro is AMAZING!! Only 5mims from Jesmond, service is superb. Always so friendly & cheerful. My go-to place for a good old schnitty!

I like this motel setup, it reminds me of the drive in motel style you see in many movies. All in all I'm happy with the accommodation all though I locked my key inside and there was no one working reception, I called a number on the door and was told that there was nothing that could be done to let me in, then hung up on and not answered on following calls. Luckily I was able to slide the window open
Wonderful location as it is very close to supermarkets and pubs. We were on our way to Sydney and stopped a night. Our stay was quiet and lovely. Affordable prices and complementary biscuits made it worth it. Definitely recommended..
Open parking for large trucks available and nice facilities. Will definately visit again.
Nice rooms with value of money. Staff was ready every time for help. And provide everything upon asking. Will definitely stay again .
Lovely clean room with everything you need. Hash the owner's son was a pleasure and helped us book cab's and even took a nice photo of us as we were heading to elton John concert. There's even a sea water pool. Good price too for the roon
Clean, basic accommodation – exactly what they advertise – perfect if you just need somewhere to stay for the night. Kathy was so lovely and helpful.

Location was good, near the interchange station. It was clean. There was a slight mix up with my room but the staff were helpful and sorted it out.
Great staff, very clean. Best hostel I’ve been to had an amazing time.
Unfortunately not my cup of tea. It's clean but they have absurd rules for me. To start with, you can only check in from 2 pm not even 15 min before when there is beds ready (I've seen it). Kitchen is closed from 10:30 to 12:00. Laundry from 3 to 9pm only. If you want to stay a couple of hours after checking out they make you pay! (Like what?). Swimming pool has this cable inside, so I'm not sure...
Cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in yet. They clean the kitchen and the bathrooms daily. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. There are lots of covered places to sit and eat outside and inside, a comfy area to chill and watch a movie together, a pool and a pool table. The rooms have a good size and the vibe is very nice.
Best backpackers I've stayed at so far on my trip around Australia. Cleaned regularly and throughly, includes pool, pool table and plenty of sheltered outdoor seating. Rooms are a good size so you don't feel too packed in. Great vibe. Only thing I would add is a shower curtain to separate the dressing area from the wet area better.
Stayed for 2 nights. Super clean and very convenient location. Everyone is super friendly and facilities are amazing
