Rooms are clean but incredibly basic. Shower & toilet are in something like a plastic mould, very old, no towel rail (just hooks), no shower screen or curtain, so water goes all over the floor. The sink is separate, on the other side of the room. Road noise nearby. It served its purpose for a quick overnight stay (arrived at 10:30pm, left at 6:30am) but if staying longer I'd likely go elsewhere.
Great location, rooms were small but ok for size for one night, slept well room very dark and quiet and service at front of desk was great. A few things I found is they need to vacuum hallways, when showering the whole floor gets wet so bath mat wasn’t enough had to use bath towels and our bathroom door had no handle so a little tricky to close and toilet roll holder broken. We also feel it could...
Budget/basic was an accurate description. 1st air con didn't work so the very helpful staff member moved my room. Definitely no frills but clean and functional when all you want is to sleep
Extremely clean and smelt nice. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Easy drive to Hope estate where we were attending a concert. A few things could do with improving. The ladder to the top bunk was very different to use and dangerous. The rungs are too far apart and they a squared which hurt my dad's foot when he used it. He had to wear his boots to climb into bed. There was no...
It's a cheap hotel with basic amenities but the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. I'd go there again.
It is only an old F1 but it is very clean modern comfortable and the staff are brilliant. Best place to stop over on a long trip up the east coast of Australia.

Size of rooms and having our beds as shared with my adult daughter. Access to dining next door was a bonus & on site booking.
Great location, was clean and lovely staff. The only downside in my opinion was the Wifi was slow (I stayed in two different rooms during the week and the issue was the same). I thankfully had enough of my own mobile data to use but I would have been annoyed if I didn't.
We had the most wonderful service from all staff members, from reception through to the breakfast restaurant. Having the club attached was convenient for dining and great for the family. Pool and hot tub in winter was fun. Our family would definitely come back here for our next stay.
Modern, clean, and well furnished. A very comfortable almost full size apartment. The bed was fantastic, air con, great size shower, two tv’s. Multiple restaurants on site. I was only in for one night, so didn’t get to use all the facilities but would definitely return. Friendly helpful service staff.
Their service is great, staff are amazing. They’ve got direct access to restaurants which was nice as we did not have to spend time on travelling to a restaurant for dinner and lunch. We walked to a cafe next morning for breakfast which was about 5 mins walk but only because we wanted to stroll outside. Otherwise they have b/f buffet option too for about 27$pp which is not that exp. Pool area is...
Well the room I had was nice BUT not that clean in the bathroom. I complained actually as having a ball of hair in the shower was pretty ordinary to say the least. Hats off to the receptionist for going out of her way to sort it. Room was really quiet though. Great location, parking and access to the club restaurants. I would say again.

Lovely, friendly staff. More than accommodating for our baby as he was in a pram, the check in staff went out of her way to find us a room with easy access. Rooms spacious and very comfortable.
Unfortunately, the last couple of times I’ve stayed and paid for the king spa room I’ve been allocated the room at the top of the reception area auditorium and the noise levels at 7:30am are excessive. Otherwise the hotel is pretty good - perhaps thicker doors are in need.
Absolutely loved everything about our stay for 1 night. Highly recommend the restaurant dine-in and room service. Only issue which is minor, the balcony screen door was a bit jerky and noisy, easily fixed.
We enjoyed a nights stay here, room was so lovely & clean. Beds extremely comfortable & love the warm large towels! Dinner in their restaurant was lovely, staff incredibly friendly and happy - could see they loved their jobs!
The room service and the view from my balcony is amazing. Apple pie with ice cream is so good. And it's so nice that breakfast buffet has lactose free milk. Thanks staff Richard, Rachel and Maxwell for the amazing service. Will come back.
Stayed at this place for the second time while visiting friends in Newcastle. Better room this time, bigger and renovated although view was of the highway instead of the bush. Love the free tea coffee, fresh milk and bickies they provide in the room. Place also has a gym and expensive restaurant onsite (didn't use the latter). Check in experience was somewhat unwelcoming - we arrived an hour early...

New bathroom was large and excellent. The only problem was that the air-conditioner was noisy so struggled to get to sleep. No other problems.
Had dinner here. Occasion100th birthday. Service - can't be faulted. View - one of the best in Newcastle. Food - exceptional. If you wood like a venue for a special occasion, NOAH'S on the beach is the place.
Couldn't have been better, comfy bed, excellent, well laid out bathroom and brilliant fridge. Service was friendly but efficient and manager was super helpful with my special request. Lastly, surely the best views in the world inclusive of passing Whale Pods.
Updated to Harbour View got a Family Room. That was disappointing. It is not worth having breakfast at Noah. Some items tasted stale. Otherwise, the room was adequate. There are no balcony views at $229 a night. The girls let me store my carry-on before and after check-in. Good view of the beach from the dining room. I think it is better to eat out. Maybe a pub on Scott Street, Grain Store. They do...
The location is perfect across from the beach. The view from our balcony was gorgeous. Our room was clean, neat and tidy.
My daughter had her wedding ceremony and reception at Noah’s on the Beach last week and I can’t speak highly enough of this venue. The team led by Rose and later Molly were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and their hard work meant that the wedding and reception went very well. Food was great, set up was great, team was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to others!

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't organize the earlier check-in, the concierge still managed to give me the room for me. The valet parking service was very good to have my car available whenever I need at very short waiting time.
Professional, friendly and helpful staff. Their hall room was well equipped, clear sound through the speakers and note pads provided for note taking. Apparently for $15 they an provide all day parking and move your car off site and return it when required. It cost me more feeding the meter all day.
The waitstaff in the evenings at seasalt made dinner really feel like a special experience. The quality of the menu was very good, plus they have a large selection of wines and cocktails available. The breakfast dining experience does not reach the same level of professionalism, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a wide variety of food choices available, but the character of the same...
I really, really liked staying here. I loved swimming in the pool and I had a great dinner at the restaurant. An interesting book in the room had info about the BHP steel mill that used to occupy this site. I had a great time here.
The Crowne Plaza Newcastle is definitely one of the better options for the city if not at the upper end of the budget. The staff are very helpful although check-out is a bit chaotic with numerous people checking out and trying to get cars out of valet parking. Room service good quality and service.

Good place to stay close to the airport. Great if you are working in the vicinity. Book early as its popular! They need to refresh their menu though as it's a bit limited. Notes - there is nothing else really around the area so you do need a car if you want to do anything
My son and I had to stay at the Mercury due to flight cancellation and early flight next morning. It was easy to book and we arrived a little early and checked in very easily. What a convenient location to the airport but also very close to Newcastle. The food is fabulous and service very courteous. Disability accessible to highest standard, our bathroom very safe and spacious. Very clean. I am delighted and will use this hotel in future when needed to come down from Coffs.
The food is awesome and the room is nice and cosy. I tried the Creaser Salad with bacon and chicken it was very filling. So I guess the food is priced reasonable.

location is good, very clean room, and surprisingly quiet in the room.
Absolutely wonderful place. Super clean, tidy and modern. Would recommend to anyone
We stayed in room 5404. Lovely view overlooking the field where Newcastle Knight practiced, but we couldn't open the window, and it felt damp. The king bed size is comfortable, and the double shower is a lovely unique feature. I had my name on the welcome tv screen. The mini bar has a reasonable price of $8 for wine. Service is friendly. Laundry is $3 per load.
Lovely rooms. A little expensive but a good spot with the pub and bistro just over the road. Beautiful sized bed, very comfortable!
Awsome stay we were on 6th floor rooms super clean, chocolates and wine on arrival. In room minibar, coffee tea provided . The 6th floor has individual aircons the rest of hotel is automatically controlled. Wifi was no problem. In room safe. Bathroom was very spacious with double shower heads and pressure was great. Cannot fault the place. You could hear the traffic on industrial drive but not to bad...
Rooms very comfy, meals are accommodated at the RSL next door which is very bland for an evening meal, though breakfast in safe venue is respectable

My husband, baby, toddler and I had a wonderful 5 night stay at Merewether Motel over the new year period. Firstly, it's next door to a Coles Express making it very convenient for any late evening essentials (you won't have to worry about any noise, you can't hear any from the room). Very friendly welcome, nice clean room.Strange bathroom set-up with bathroom type sink in kitchen. Nowhere to put clean clothes except toilet seat Good value though and comfy beds.
A wonderful experience to stay in this surprisingly super modern, spacious, clean motel. Reception were most helpful from the first contact to book to lugging my bag upstairs for me. I highly recommend the Junction Hotel. The room was modern and clean and the staff were so friendly. Good location within walking distance or quick uber to main the streets of Newcastle. We got a $40 voucher for breakfast the next morning which was also amazing. Heads up, not a new relationship type of hotel... the shower is open to the bedroom.
We had a great dinner here, menu was extensive, specials were a good mix of options. I had the crispy skinned barramundi special that was absolutely delicious. We were a group of 5 people and we all really enjoyed our meal. We had table service for our drinks as well. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Amazing rooms, very large and modern design. The whole hotel and downstairs bar and restaurant had an awesome vibe. Stopped in here on our way through to port Macquarie, great location, fantastic outdoor beer garden and they made a great Margarita. The food was delicious, my partner had the lobster Mac 'n' cheese and was very impressed. The chef was very understanding of his allergies and was very accommodating. Great atmosphere. Loved the place, the whole experience made us want to holiday in Newcastle next!
What a great hidden gem in the centre of Newcastle. Was pleasantly surprised with the standard of the room and at reasonable price. Great food downstairs and even though it is open to 2am on the Friday night we stayed at midnight the music couldn't be heard from our room. Will be staying again and strongly recommend.
