Quality Hotel Ambassador Perth

Things I liked:
- Room is quite spacious and neat. For an hotel, very aesthetically pleasing including the bathroom. Great shower and even includes a separate bath tub (if that’s your thing)
- Bed is gigantic, could reasonably sleep 3/4 people no problem.
- Service was quite decent, no issues here.

Things I did not like:
- Air conditioner basically does not work. You get no control over the temperature, only the fan setting (low, medium, high) which makes little difference. Even in winter with the fan on high, the room is humid and very uncomfortable while sleeping. The windows are unable to be opened so you are trapped in the heat. The temperature outside is preferable to what you will experience in the room.
- Absolutely no ammenities in the room. Every corner has been cut here. No plates, utensils, toaster, or microwave. There is a single shared microwave on the ground floor for the whole hotel. Enjoy heating up a microwave meal in front of reception or taking food back to the room and cutting it with 1 of the 2 teaspoons provided.
- Only a single chair in a room. If you have more than 1 person staying, you are forced to eat on the bed.
- Curtains are not full sized and you will not be able to block the light coming in from the window in any meaningful way. Sunlight comes in from the left, right, and middle of the window due to the undersized curtains
- Not the hotels fault here, but the view from the room itself is a joke. You will be looking at an empty plot of land full of graffiti and left over rubbish that people have dumped there.
- Parking is $25 a day and you would be better off hauling your luggage 500m from a less expensive/free parking spot.
- They require a $100 preauthorisation/bond before you can check in. Not really an issue, but annoying.

Honestly a very uncomfortable sleeping experience. There are plenty of budget options within walking distance (quest, Novotel, ibis) and you would have a much better stay at one of those.

This is a very old hotel that needs work. Check in area needs a good clean and some paint. My room was bad. Drink spills on walls not wiped down, dirty stained curtains which was disgusting. Old orange decor. Don’t be fooled by the pictures as the rooms look nothing like it. For breakfast you must go over to comfort in. This was just slop. Dirty tables, no one serving and every person for themselves. No Covid protocols at all. Your cutlery in a basket where everyone is touching them. I didn’t feel safe for some reason and I placed a chair in front of door. This venue needs a bloody good clean. I will never stay ever again. Of all the time I have stayed in Quality Inn’s this is the worst one. Save your money and spend on another hotel. Don’t do Comfort Inn over the road as they are owned by the same group and it looked just as bad.

Dust on tables. Hair in the bathtub so I didn't used it. Free coffee sachet looks cheap. I paid 150aud for a double room, for this price I expected better service.

The vibe feels like a better motel room. Like all other reviews, aircon is noisy. Also you can hear everything if someones on phone call or everytime when people closed their door.

Very average stay but receptionist were lovely.

The hotel is run down and not modern as advertised. The room had hand prints over the walls. The bed had a 1cm lip wear it joined in the middle. The bath was rusty and the aircon doesn’t cool the room. Mugs that I used were not replaced with clean ones when my room was serviced. I would not stay here again.
