Initially got a studio apartment but on the 2nd night, I felt that it was too troublesome for me to go down for the shared laundry facilities. Bruno from the reception was extremely helpful in securing me a 1bedrm apartment the next day. He even showed me the room pictures to manage my expectations and the rest of my stay was brilliant. He also shared info about the free bus zone as I was initially unsure about it. 5 ⭐ for Bruno; commendable guest service.
As for the rest of the property, distance was not too far from the airport and Uber was a reasonable price (AUD18). Rooms were very clean, housekeeping was done everyday and all my items were arranged neatly.
Location is great; bus stops just opposite and beside. Car rentals are nearby. Only hiccup is that carpark lot has to be prebooked at AUD 30 a night. But with the free buses, one doesnt need much to get around the Hay St and Murray St area, up to Kings Park. Gym is also very clean and well maintained.
I cannot rave about this property enough. Truly enjoyed my stay here and will be back.
However, two days after checking out I received an email stating that my security bond was being withheld because the smoke alarms had been covered with plastic, creating a danger to the hotel. While I fully understand the seriousness of this and agree with the hotel’s policy, I was shocked and upset by the accusation. I know this is something smokers do but as a non-smoker, I had no reason to do this. The staff insist the covering was not there before my stay and can only suggest that it was missed in a prior check or the room. It was a disappointing and stressful end to what had otherwise been the only smooth part of an already stressful trip.
I genuinely appreciated the staff’s assistance during my stay, but the handling of this issue has left me feeling frustrated and disheartened.
Once we were finally checked in, everything else was lovely. The staff were friendly, and the location was great, but the check-in delay definitely took away from what could have been a perfect stay.
Otherwise, all the positive adjectives apply.
Hotel had a great rooftop bar/restaurant small menu however the pizzas 🍕 are a must delicious
Great base to explore Perth
Hotel clean with daily house keeping fresh towels daily if required. Very comfy beds which were required to rest weary heads
Really disappointed with what we paid to stay overnight and what we got. Having stayed at several hotels in the city there was little value for money. Quest was not value for what we paid for our one night stay. Not even supplying cold water bottles in the room. We had to pay extra for parking, which was misleading from what the booking service said and I was told the bond was not necessarily going to be released for up to 48 hours.
Was an overpriced stary for one night stay where the aircon was not cool enough either.
To be honest, after walking around outside, it seems that domestic hotels are better than those outside in every aspect.
