Apart Hotel Golden Line

We’re a well-traveled family (53 countries visited), and this was our first trip to Bulgaria. We spent almost €1000 for 3 nights (excluding flights), expecting a higher standard. Unfortunately, this hotel fell short in many ways. ✅ Pros: • Quick check-in, friendly and helpful staff • Our suite was spacious with two rooms • Good internet coverage throughout the hotel • Variety of dishes at dinner • Nice weather during our stay • 10-minute walk to the beach (note: it’s not a private beach) ❌ Cons: • The hotel is very outdated, barely meets a 3-star standard • Small territory, cramped common areas • Our room’s air conditioner didn’t work (during 32°C heat). Technicians came but couldn’t fix it. Luckily, the second room had a working unit • Housekeeping entered our room at 9 AM without knocking. When asked to come later, the cleaning lady replied rudely that she had too much to do. We declined cleaning service afterward. • Additionally, the toilet seat was not properly fixed and kept moving, which was quite uncomfortable. • Not enough sunbeds by the pool — guests put towels out early • No private beach — sunbeds cost 12 BGN per sunbed • Boring entertainment, very basic animation • Dining room is small — during peak times it’s chaotic: no available tables, food scattered on the floor, people pushing • Cleanliness issues: tables wiped with one cloth and glass cleaner • Hot dishes served lukewarm, breakfast very limited • No proper coffee included — espresso only available for a fee • The guest crowd unfortunately left a poor impression
