Well for me, it was the best stay in Montreal. The owner was waiting for me till the time I arrived as it was already dark in the evening and then from the next day, the care taker started visiting the house as per the convenience. The airlines lost my baggage and it was very difficult for me to communicate to airlines, but the care taker really took all and stayed in the hotel until i received my...
Location is prime. The rooms are really good for the price. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Lovely stay, everything was perfect. Friendly caretaker. Ultra-clean. Huge room with tall walls. Small bathtub but strong water pressure on the shower. Fridge in the room kept our drinks icy-cold. Would recommend this place to everyone!
Beautiful room, amenities are good. Very clean. The host is also really friendly, helpful and polite.
Free coffee, nice bed, cozy atmosphere, minutes walk away from beautiful day and night life. I was thoroughly happy with the location, price, and the comfort feeling of being at home.
My boyfriend and I have stayed here for 2 nights at the May Victoria Weekend, and we were really happy with our stay. It's a very clean, cozy and cute hotel which covers the basics nothing fancy. For the price we paid, it was a great experience. An old couple runs the place and they're really sweet, they were very helpful with our early check-in and late check out. Additionally, the location was amazing...

One of my favorite places to visit is Montreal. Always good for exploring and never a dull moment. This hotel is my home away from home.
It’s a basic hotel. It's small and a little claustrophobic. It's in a super sketchy neighborhood, random screaming in the middle of the night, weird really loud squeaking coming from God know what or where.
It was super dark in the room, despite turning the room light on, but it was extremely dim. I wanted to turn the lamps on and one turned on but the other one didn't and I discovered it was because...

A very simple place to sleep and shower.
The room was clean and everything worked except for the wifi. If you’re looking to spend the majority of time out of the room this is great accommodation. Note: there is no elevator.
The room was cool because of the fan provided.
The room is very sparse ans the only furniture is the bed, but this is exactly what the ad said it would have so no complaints...
Great services. Made me happy to be a member of the human race. No more illuminati

My boyfriend and I had to last minute book around 1 in the morning new years night and they were super accomidating. The room was nice and clean and had a nice balcony we could have used if it were summer. The only possible thing i could say is that it was a bit too chilly throughout the night but other than that it was great!

I had a great time at this hotel! The owner and the staff are very nice and so welcoming. The hotel is clean and it's close to everything. I recommend booking here.
This is one of those airbnbs which is more like a home. The hosts are some of the kindest and most compassionate people who go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The location is also super great and very well connected by metro. Would recommend if you love connecting with genuine people during your travels.
I was worried when I saw the reviews on here, but apparently the new owner of the place has made major improvements and our stay was perfect. Very friendly and super accommodating staff. Will definitely be back next time I come to Montréal
Loved the stay at the hotel. It is not a new building, which gives it weathers authentic look (almost like in Emily in Paris). The staff was super friendly, helpful and responsive. Perfect for students or people travelling on a budget!
It was AWESOME!! The owner is amazing! Great customer service. When our room was wrong he gave us an extra one for the same price. The owner has recently started to do renovations on the hotel. The rooms are comfy and welcoming, so was the whole hotel. The owner was very welcoming as well. I highly recommend this hotel, and me and my family are definitely going to stay there again.
Rooms could be cleaner. Good for the price. Free street parking near hotel if you are lucky

Avoid this place like the plague. It’s filthy from top to bottom, staff doesn’t care, and home to the most disgusting bathroom I’ve ever seen.
The customer service was good and prompt. The room was a little bit dirty. This is by no means a luxury hotel, and you definitely get what you pay for here, but the location is great. Despite the price, there should be clean sheets. They were stained in a quite a few places and we found hairs on the pillows. We also had to ask for toilet paper and the room wasn’t equipped with enough soap/shampoo....
What a find! From our immaculate 3 bedroom apartment hotel (mystery room), this magnificent establishment granted us a great canal view. The Jackson Pollock inspired sheets and walls subtely boasted the refined nature and hygiene of the dwellings. Parking accommodations were plentiful in the Mad Max themed car lot, complete with complimentary street people valet service. Artwork adorning the walls...

The first room they have its was next tho the maintenance room and smelled like smoke, it was cramped and generally not nice.
Staff was great and upgraded us to another room which was great. Comfortable beds, decent location. Note that parking is a challenge, as it is in most cities, but fortunately we were able to score street parking without too much difficulty.
You get what you pay for, but I atleast expected decent wifi. It was very slow. I don't usually write reviews. I just wanted to warn folks who want to work while at this hotel

The room was very clean. So clean that I felt confident walking around barefoot. They gave us fresh towels every day. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Their English was a little sketchy, but not to the point where you can't communicate.

Really pleased about my stay here - excellent value for a charming stay located within walking distance to everything I needed, from my concert to the rehearsal venue to lots of great shops and restaurants. Very good temperature control in the rooms as well - I actually had to leave my previously booked hotel because it was too hot, and was extremely grateful that there was availability at Manoir Sherbrooke...
A great little find, centrally located, with comfortable rooms and lovely staff. You get a real feel that staff are genuinely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had a wonderful stay here. My partner and I found the room very comfortable, pretty, and clean, and the location of the hotel can’t be beat. Other highlights were the absolutely lovely staff, the cozy common room where one can enjoy a drink or snack during the day (there are free hot drinks available as well as a wine serving machine), and of course the free breakfast - SO delicious!! I stayed here with a friend, as two young teenagers we felt very safe. We were greeted by a lovely gentlemen who carried all of our suitcases up the stairs to our rooms. Staying at Manoir Sherbrooke felt like stepping into a different time! As someone with a passion for history, I really enjoyed waking up here every morning, and all of the staff made me feel at home. Excellent location, most tourist attractions are no more than a 30 min walk away, with lots of great restaurants nearby as well. Super safe area. And the wine vending machine is something else!
Beautiful rooms, very friendly staff and the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Montreal!

We stayed here for a night in the comfort suite. The room is very nice, clean and modern. I was impressed with the amenities in the room that other hotels usually don’t have. Breakfast was nice. Fairly priced, great location, friendly staff, unfortunately persistent smell of smoke, no top sheet on pull out couch, and a stain on wall and couch, but overall fairly clean. Ample towels and soap provided in bathroom. Breakfast included, but fairly minimal. Overall room was spacious and comfortable.
The location and helpful staff members are two prime factors of this hotel which I like the most. It is located on the very convenient spot of the downtown on the green line subway.
The rooms are very small compared to the amount they charge for a stay.
They do have breakfast available which includes cereal, milk, coffee, bread ,butter and jam.
Hotel right by the arts district in Montreal. Friendly service on arrival and helpful with holding luggage after check out. Continental breakfast was fine.
This place was great, the best option in Montreal. Good breakfast included and there are many restaurants close. They storaged our backpack after the checkout time so we had time to visit the city.
I stayed here Feb 18-20, 2023. It was good. A 2 star hotel and fit my needs as a solo traveler. Room was dated but clean and large. Bed was not the most comfortable but fine for few days I stayed. Great place to stay if you visit Montreal. The owners are very nice people and they make the best breakfasts ever!
Excellent cottage with warm and very welcoming owners. We spent 3 days during the month of May. The room was large and perfect for two people. Very clean and well decorated. The snacks are excellent, very delicious. Thank you very much Raquel and André! We will be back for sure!! Natalie & Elizabeth!

Rooms was very unique and beds were very comfy. Location is nice, a 15 min walk from vieux port. Also it is very close to a supermarket IGA which helps. Breakfast was good, bread and jam yogurt with fruits and cereals and some sort of pie…
I really love this B&B. Very cozy. Our room was comfortable. Shared bathroom but was never an issue. Owners were very welcoming and gave lots of good tips about the city. I'd definitely stay here again.
Friendly staff, affordable. Public transportation nearby and reasonable walk to Downtown.
Friendly and personable owners managing a beautiful bed and breakfast in a great location. Everything I was looking for and more. The room was very well appointed, there was even fresh water in the carafe which I appreciated. Nathalie's breakfast is reason to go back all by itself! Thank you Robert et Nathalie!
Excellent location in a beautiful neighborhood! The 2 main metro lines intersect at the station closest to the BnB. During check-in an in-depth explanation of activities and places to visit was given. Every morning a cozy breakfast was served with local ingredients and homemade recipes. If you travel by car free parking is offered.
Comfortable place to stay, close to the Metro stop and rue St Denis with many restaurants. Breakfast is unique and delicious each day, made from scratch with attention to detail. Imagine having dessert as part of your breakfast! Nathalie is a great host, very sociable in English and in French, with lots of suggestions of things to do and see if you want. Merci, Nathalie! Very good breakfast, nice and smiling staff and comfortable rooms.
The team was excellent and very accommodating. We had to make some last minute changes to our itinerary and staff here helped us modify our reservation and overall we were super happy.
Great acommodations and wonderful service. This hotel had free parking in the back and free breakfast. The hotel was comfy and the rooms had a cool atmosphere.
The best part was dogs were allowed at the hotel and the staff were super friendly to them. I felt I got way more value than the amount I spent.
Comfy and neat bedrooms. Staffs are bilingual, which helps tourists like me to interact. Washrooms are really big and neat. Loved everything about our stay and special thanks to all staffs who made us feel home.
Very nice hotel. Could use more electrical outlets and usb ports. Very hard to find. Friendly staff. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Has double entry doors into your room. Able to walk to Old Montrel. Alley parking behind the building. You have to leave your keys so cars can be moved. Definitely would stay again.
I stayed here for a couple of nights in Sept 2022. A comfortable, unassuming place with small, cozy rooms. The front desk staff were very courteous and accommodating, their service was top class. They offered a simple but delicious breakfast too. If I visit Montreal again, Hotel Chateau de l'Argoat will certainly be my go to place for accommodation. Cheers.

Owners are very friendly, attentive and hardworking. The room and the bathroom are always very well cleaned, specially the bathroom. Excellent location in Downtown Montreal, close to the subway station, many cafes and other commercial locations, and it's a nice neighbourhood. I was there with my son and my daughter and I definitely recommend it.
Can't really complain about this place. You absolutely get what you pay for. If you're looking for an inexpensive place just to lay your head at night while visiting Montreal then this one is worth considering. If close to the metro station and closish enough to old Montreal that you can walk if you're fit enough. There are a few things a place like this needs to get a good rating from me and these...
There are bugs and the bedding is old
Great value for money at this place. The building seems a bit old, but the rooms are just fine and the beds are comfortable. They also have 24 hour reception.
The neighborhood can be a bit noisy on the weekend (big party area) but this wasn't a problem for me. The Wifi was also good.
Just FYI, since the Google Listing mentions coin-op laundry, the system they have is that you drop off your laundry...
Friendly and respectful of our needs as guests. Also appreciated that they gave us the privacy we needed to rest and catch up on our sleep!
Rooms were clean and furnishings comfortable.
Only negative was our tiny bathroom ...

Really good hotel for the price in the middle of Montreal. This hotel is situated in a very centric street, plenty of activities and restaurants around. Rooms are good enough for the price but bed and pillows are quite uncomfortable, wifi it was good for a day and it didn’t work the other day.
About the breakfast is a simple one but good.
You get what you pay for. It is really just a place to sleep. Not an actual hotel. The rooms have no plumbing except for a sink. For necessities such as a shower and toilet you need to go to the shared bathrooms which are not in good condition. The location is in the entertainment district so it remains loud at night. I would only really stay here for one night at most.
For the money we paid and location, very good. Breakfast and checkout time were generous.
Mattress was comfortable, room was clean, and room was not too noisy.
Shared bathrooms are not an issue, similar to university dorm.
Would recommend to people especially students looking to save money and stay in the heart of Montreal.
Rooms are OK, breakfast as self service - you can eat what you wish, but low variability. Unfortunately music and screaming of drunk people is heard to rooms pretty good. Bathrooms are clean.
The room was great, it had both a fan and AC. There were many mirrors in the bedroom, helpful for getting ready. The shared bathrooms were very clean at all hours of the day. The location is perfect for exploring many of the city's attractions.
The only thing that was an unexpected challenge was how spotty the wifi was, so you may have to make use of local coffee shops (of which there's plenty).
...
Very well priced! Great for genz or millenial travellers! Very clean room! Shared bathrooms is a non-issue to be honest as it was always available when I needed it. Loosing a star for no parking but it's right next to place des arts and overnight parking was only 35$. Central to everything you need, walking distance to malls, underground tunnels, metro/subway.
