The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, and is very convenient for traveling by subway. The staff are friendly.
we loved our stay, nicely modern decorated, comfortable bed, clean, nice breakfast. we'd come back if coming back to Montreal.
Nice property. Clean rooms friendly staff.
OverAll the hotel was in a great location for the montreal tour de ille. That was important to me. Additionally it was minutes away from the cadillac metro station. Really convenient. The bad things were the toilet did not flush properly. They did not allow bikes in the room even after i called to confirm thst was ok. Other things that i thought was odd. Why did the first person say i could have...
Room was clean, check in was simple, the surrounding area wasn’t as nice but close to the metro is a huge plus. Solid place to stay.
Staff were friendly and the snow removal was fantastic. Very close to a metro.
However, our non smoking room smelled heavily of smoke upon arrival and the smell did not dissipate. It almost seemed to worsen over the stay. The showers were open to the room (no door) which caused our entire room to become foggy and damp (floors, ceiling, windows, walls). Basic cleaning was done but dust and grime were...

Le Petit Hotel Vieux-Montreal - Saint-Paul

The hotel was really nice and clean, complimentary lattes and breakfast with your stay is a really nice perk. The staff super helpful, particularly Miroslava at front desk. She gave suggestions, directions and made reservations for us as we do not speak French. Would 100% stay there again as the location was great with short walking distance to shopping along Saint Catherines, the metro, bars and restaurants...
I have had the opportunity to visit several hotels in Montreal and I have never encountered such an attentive staff. They treat you like a friend of the family from the moment you walk in the door. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with beautiful exposed stone walls. But the real selling point for me is the location, in the heart of the Old Port. I can't wait to go back!
The hotel is really cosy. The staff make us from at home all the time.
Although the bathrooms are not " that big" , they got what is needed and the room is very spacious, sunny and the bed is excellent.
The breakfast is basically what we need ( Continental style) nothing fancy.
The location is fantastic.
If we ever come back to Montreal we will definitely stay here.
FRIENDLIEST STAFF, Location, above and beyond hospitality.
My first visit to Montreal and I chose Le Petit Hotel in Old Montreal. And I could not have been more PROUD of my choice. Mind blowing warmth and friendliness of ALL the staff, helping me with the luggage to in room coffee & croissants all day to guiding about surrounding areas. LOVED the shower pressure (super happy for no bath tub) and the...
What a wonderful stay we had at this beautiful hotel. My mom and I stayed there for the labor day weekend and we really loved this place. Mathew, Zac, Jeremy and Guillaume were so great and so helpful. They made sure that our stay was perfect. We had an extra large room and it was beautiful. Also they server coffe and tea all day long which I really enjoyed it very much. This hotel is in the center...
This place was cheap, clean, and with an excellent staff. The bedrooms are small as well as the shower, it was very tiny. They have breakfast with the best crossaint I had in town. Also, the location is great, pretty close to downtown and a lot of good restaurants around.

The biggest plus at this location is the staff. Everyone I met from support staff to the manager was very polite and helpful for the entire experience from inquiry to check out. A true pleasure to work with.
However, the rooms need a lot of attention to meet the standards advertised by this chain. Although the structure and amenities are spot on, the cleanliness is very poor. Our room had many mystery...
This place was ok. Just a quick overnight stay. The rooms are small and the beds are uncomfortable. Less than enough shampoo n conditioner bottles along with less than enough towels. I’d most likely choose another hotel next time I’m in Canada.
We had a really great stay at the Days Inn. The front desk was nice and hotel was clean and a great value. The bathroom did have a loose shower door. Everything was great and we checked the room when we first got there. It was clean, no bed bugs, and great location. People that said it was far from downtown, you're paying half the money per night. Our uber was only $27 to downtown each way. Pretty...
The service was good and I believed that the service was great as they let us change rooms at the middle of the night due to the broken AC.
The rooms were beautiful and more modern-looking than other Days Inn venues I've stayed in. Internet was also super fast.
This hotel is convenient, clean, inexpensive, ample parking. There is a fridge, an ironing board. Don't have other expectations. Many rooms recently renovated. An elevator is being installed (April 2018). CON: some rooms on the main floor at the back have a step down two feet from the door. You have to be careful in order not to fall flat on your face. Poor design. ALSO google maps cannot get the...

Booked a grande queen room, received a double bed. Was not informed while booking there wouldn't be a tub in the room and only a shower. Also room 25 has 2 windows, both have no view and one is right near a faulty light up sign that blinks through the curtains all night. Breakfast is a little lacking on quality, mostly cold cereal and toast, or bagels. Not to far from metro so that was a bonus.
Edit...
We came to explore Toronto and chose Hotel de Paris for our stay. Receptionist Samuel was very sweet, polite, and helpful. I appreciate it a lot.
Regarding the hotel, perhaps more attention should be given to room maintenance. Additionally, the breakfast menu could include simpler options. Just a suggestion.
Everything was very nice.
This is out second time staying at this hotel. We visited for the first time last December and loved it, so we wanted to come back in the summer. The staff is friendly, the hotel’s location is very good and the architecture is captivating. The rooms are a bit small, but it adds a very romantic atmosphere. Overall it has become our preferred hotel whenever we visit Montreal. Thank you for everything
We were very pleased with our stay there. The room is spacious to fit in all the beds for five of us. The staff are very friendly and helpful from beginning to the end. We had a wonderful Thai dinner at Pamika which is conveniently located downstairs. The breakfast there is also great, one of the best we've ever had. We're definitely coming back!
The prices are good and the place is pretty clean. Be advised, they have two locations right across the street from each other, and the one on the north side of Sherbrooke is significantly nicer. We stayed in the 'annex' and it was a pretty basic hotel room but smelled of smoke despite being non smoking and the shower didn't work super well. The rooms are also tiny which wasn't an issue for us but...

Liked the modern room with all facilities. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location could be better but can’t really complain.
I love this place. I've been here 6 times.... It's humble and clean.... great staff and amazing location. Merci
Older hotel, nice rooms for what you pay. No sign of bedbugs (which has been a problem in Montreal)! Would recommend if looking for a decent hotel with a small budget.
I think the floors of my room could have been a bit cleaner, but everything else was great. The staff were very accomodating and the location is truly superb. I think this place is really old and needs some renovating overall but you can't beat the price short of staying in the hostel next door. The room TV was pretty old but I don't watch anyways. They have parking out back but my car wouldn't fit...
I've stayed here at least a dozen times. The price is great, as is the location if you're looking to be near the village. Is it luxurious? No. Is the bed the most comfortable? No. But you're not paying luxury hotel prices, and if you temper your expectations you'll find it to be a perfectly serviceable hotel with free WiFi, cable, and breakfast. I'll continue staying here each time I visit Montréal

The room was clean, comfortable, and private. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the check-in and out process was easy. The location couldn't be better, right downtown, but it still felt private and restful inside the hotel. I travelled as a single woman and felt really safe here.
Hidden gem in downtown Montreal! Their lattes and cookies are good
hidden gem, very nice place to try out with friends or for a study session. as for the coffee though… i don’t think the barista knew how to make proper drinks because i ordered a cortado and my friend ordered a cappuccino, we got the same thing.
Not a traditional or full hotel, but lovely and friendly cafe. Great room. Amazing value and location.
This is not really an hotel but rather a house where live approx 25 christian university students (nice and peaceful). There are 6 rooms dedicated to be Airbnb or hotel. Two parking spots available (you must reserve). Nice cafe opened only from 9 to 3pm so too bad for an early breakfast. Rooms are very old but clean without absolutely any "luxury": coffeemaker, fridge, extra pillow or towel, hand-towel...
Highly recommend this Café. It is a hidden treasure up the street on Stanley, but well worth the trip. A great spot close to campus to study or get some work done. Environment is peaecful and welcoming. Raspberry white chocolate scones, matcha latte are the best! Mocha is great as well!

Super friendly staff and great room! Breakfast was a bonus! Highly recommend!!
Just checked in but I've got a good feeling! The front desk person was so friendly and informative. She took a lot of time finding me restaurants and music venues that were near by. Very friendly and professional. 👍
From the moment we checked in until the moment we left, we were treated so well at the Epik by all staff members. They were helpful and courteous. The rooms were delightful with large modern bathrooms and comfy beds. For being in a city and being on the street, it was surprisingly quiet. Delicious continental breakfast to get us going in the morning. Would definitely stay again next time we come to...
This hotel is in the heart of it all. Walking distance to Notre Dame, restaurants, galleries and boutiques. We rented the 1st floor apartment and it was worth the money. The front desk workers were friendly and helpful. Emma stood out to us the most. Such a cheery person. We hope to stay here again.
This is my new favorite hotel!. I have never experienced better service anywhere in the world. Parking is an issue, but Lucy the person on duty when we checked in, helped us carry our bags from our car up to our room. That was a first for me. I really can’t recommend this hotel enough. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I stayed in the room in the lobby and I got a message beforehand that it might be a bit loud since it’s located in the lobby and next to the restaurant but I had no trouble with noise at all. Staffs were so kind and friendly(especially the young staffs)! Pretty good location! And a reasonable price!
To be honest, it is hard to say the quality of the room and the cleaning service are the best of the best I ever stayed;

Very well appointed rooms. Extremely clean. Very comfortable. Bed very comfortable.
Breakfast was impressive. Fresh fruit, fresh baked goods, yogurts, juices, etc.
You won't find better value-for-dollar in Montreal.
Reception people were efficient, friendly, and very professional.
A great experience.
Will return.
I decided on this hotel but was a little bit concerned because of the mixed reviews. I am surprised that some guests had a negative experience because mine was very positive. Inexpensive and clean. But some repairs could stand to be made.
We spent 8 days at the ARS hotel and I liked it very much! It's very clean and the staff is friendly! Nice breakfast election better than other places I've seen before! There's a good chance I'll be coming next year but this time with my kids!
No frills. Very simple. You get what you pay for and that's not necessarily a bad thing. IF you're a no frills person.
For modest accomodations it was exactly what I expected. My only disappointment was the room was not sound proof. I could hear every footstep in the room above and all the doors shutting in the hallway. The hotel was full of guests and the breakfast room was well attended. Clean and comfortable enough for a tight budget!
Nice rooms and nice breakfast. Only problem is the leak and some broken stuffs in the room especially in their washrooms. Also please provide guides on how to operate your televisions.
The price and location was great. The room is tidy and neat. I wished there was more towels in the bathroom considering the booking was for 4 people! The breakfast is very simple, but I liked that there's a free coffee in the lobby available 24h!! Also, I wished there was a mini fridge in the rooms. One more thing to consider is there's no free parking available. You can only park on the nearby streets...

Good price and good location. The social space was great. Phone chargers in each bunk. Charming old building. Not sure if this is typical for Hostels in Canada but there were mixed gender toilets and shower room which was slightly uncomfortable. Maybe if the doors for the toilets and showers weren't small with large gaps on the two lateral sides, it would've been more manageable. However with the volume...
One of the best hostels I have stayed at, if not the best. Superb location, beautiful historic building, fully renovated, amazing kitchen and common room, super friendly staff, good dorms... I would say new mattresses could be an improvement but I had a great night's sleep anyway so that might just be nitpicking. 10/10 would stay again.
Best hostel I've stayed at in Montreal. The staff felt like family, specifically my dude CB who was in charge of hostel events. Bingo night and beer pong were both great hostel activities hosted when I was a guest there, that made it easier to meet other travelers. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Montreal.
Really nice people and good location :)
Friendly staff, cozy and clean. Good breakfest included. They also organize a few group activities. Best location in Montreal.
Great place in the heart of downtown. Everything you need is within walking distance. There's even an Irish pub across the street for those that fancy a pint of Guinness before going to bed.

The hosts, Rita and Dan, made the stay so enjoyable as did the other guests. They are so hospitable, the breakfasts were terrific and the location is stellar. Close to the metro and only a short walk from Crescent street to enjoy a few drinks/food.
Loved my stay here. Room was clean, hosts were helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were fantastic - we advised in advance that we are vegan and Rita prepared 2 wonderful breakfasts for us. Great location and value.
Loved our two night stay here. Super close to Theatre Corona. Breakfast was WOW! Outdoor space with plants was amazing. Accommodated us by making really creative and lovely vegan breakfast.

Keeping in mind this is a hostel, the experience was overall positive. Very close to Berry Metro station and to a pretty lively neighborhood, but still quiet at night if one is looking for a calm and chill environment. No bed bugs signs, which I think its the priority. The location is amazing. Near everything that you need to be in walking distance. Parking is small minor issue but, you'll always find parking on the side streets. The manager was also kind of enough to change our rooms from the sub-basement to a regular room. You get your own keys to the main door and your door. Room service does a great job of cleaning up.
Very good location. Everything near, city centre, old port of Montreal, cafes and restaurants. Windows don't open, only air conditioning. Breakfast include only croissant small coffee and the same size juice. Maximum price of such breakfast is 5$, but not a 15 as it is.
It's good for the price. Yeah the bathroom is small but if you just need an inexpensive place to stay while you go out and explore the town look no further. Parking is available with a deposit which you collect once you leave.
Modest, safe, clean and well maintained older facility that is inexpensive. Staff are welcoming, friendly & accommodating. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is that it is not handicap accessible.
Everything is just fine. Parking might be a little bit tricky but 150$ including taxes for 2 nights is good. We were barely in the room so the rooms were pretty basic. It's just fine.

I stayed at this hostel because of a friend's recommendation and I found it's a very clean hostel with great service at a reasonable price. I will choose it next time and recommend it to other friends

Also a fair amount of stairs which could be a dealbreaker for people needing accessibiliy or that have a lot of luggage. Suggested parking was close by and was 9$ for 24 hours at the time, which isn't bad for the location.
