The location and environment are impeccable, and I have to say a few more words about the food and service. Since we arrived after 9pm, the French meal that ended at 10pm was not suitable, so the waiter introduced us to the international fusion cuisine opposite. The taste was good and met our expectations, but the variety was a little less. Diago at the front desk is what I want to introduce today...

The room is very spacious and the service is very thoughtful. They took the initiative to upgrade the room. The hotel facilities are indeed old, and the air conditioners are old. The sound insulation is average. The location is very good. Capitol Hill is next door.

Our favourite hotel in Ottawa. Stayed in a couple different rooms, all are modern and bright/fresh. Staff are accommodating, attentive, and thoughtful. Definitely recommend checking out the restaurant for dinner or buffet breakfast. Perfect for a staycation, looking forward to coming back :)

Boutique like feel - Recommended hotel! Very spacious and comfortable. Very modern features and technology. Lots of lighting and charging areas. Service was great. Very quiet. Lots of amenities. Underground parking. Staff went out of their way to make our son feel welcomed and special by doing something in the room for him. Staff are also very helpful and kind. Great location.

I really enjoy the rooms in this hotel. The decor is certainly cool. It's very clean with a tiny amount of wear and tear. Many thoughtful details are found I the room. My only comment that isn't stellar has to do with the breakfast buffet. It was a underwhelming in that the hot foods weren't very hot. The tables could use placemats and salt and pepper.

We stayed in the king prestige room. Perhaps the most comfortable hotel experience we’ve had. Beds were amazing - like a cloud. Room amenities - water carafes beside the bed, robes, ironing board, automatic blinds, great tea and coffee, glassware and lots of bath and body care added up to a very relaxing stay. Whoever planned these rooms actually thought about hospitality and comfort and usefulness...

This hotel is luxurious, and is super-modern. It has a very high level of service from everyone who you deal with. Every evening there was a turn-down service and we got left water and herbal tea. The location is good and within a five-minute walk there are several coffee shops and a large shopping mall. We had a room with blinds that went up electronically. We had a wonderful experience at the Lord Elgin for our wedding and related block booking. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly kind and patient. We felt comfortable and well taken care of and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The hotel restaurant is also stellar, be sure to grab lunch or dinner at least once - you won't regret it!

Great location, good room with very comfy beds. Service very good. The corridor carpets are in need of replacing but they were in the process of dealing with this whilst we were there. Can't really fault it and a very nice hotel to stay in.

I loved this hotel. The bed was comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty. The valet parking is chaotic. Twice, I had to drive on the sidewalk to get through the jam at the front door. Also, the A/C blew over the bed and was too drafty. It was either too high, even at the lowest setting, or we had to turn it off, leaving us a bit warm. I loved the old world feel of the place...

We spent two nights at the Lord Elgin Hotel. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and very good room darkening curtains. I was also pleased at how quiet the room was. The doormen were all very accommodating and gave us some great recommendations on places to eat and were knowledgeable about the area. We had an incredible first stay at the Lord Elgin Hotel! The room was fantastic. We rented the Churchill Suite for our wedding. It was a fantastic room for us because it had a full and well-stocked kitchen (napkins, plates, cutlery, serving utensils), a living and dining space, and an additional bathroom, making it a great space for hosting family and friends.
