5 star hotels in Ottawa

Hotel itself is a landmark and has its historical value. When we visited the hotel had electricity issues but we were lucky as they resolved our side quickly. The charm of the hotel is on another level. Next to the Rideau Canal and Parliament made it even better. Recommend to book a parliament view room. Highly recommended in my books.

We loved the general ambiance and location of the hotel. Our room was large and light and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very nice location but old hotel that needs some updates. Our coffee machine did not work as they had it plugged into a power bar that kept blowing fuse’s. The front desk was friendly and quick to respond however the repair man admitted that whoever installed it did a lazy job. Also the blinds in the room are not “black out”. My (now) fiance took me to the Fairmont for a long weekend away and it was hands down the best place I've ever stayed! He called ahead and let them know he was planning on proposing and they hooked us up with a surprise amazing view. Everything was absolutely perfect!! We'll definitely be back!!!

Quite possibly the nicest Hilton property I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve been a diamond member for a long time. Rooms, service, food, the property grounds, pools and spa, the fitness center, all of it is amazing. My only complaint would be its distance from just about anything except the casino.

The hotel and casino are connected with an indoor hallway. Valet parking available at the hotel. Beautiful big lobby. Lots of space to hang out and chill, As always, very nice reception. One traveller among us is a member of the casino. I am a Hilton member. We got a lovely 25% discount for this stay. We were even able to upgrade to a junior suite for an extra 88$. Very nice room. We had a wonderful experience at the Lord Elgin for our wedding and related block booking. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly kind and patient. We felt comfortable and well taken care of and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The hotel restaurant is also stellar, be sure to grab lunch or dinner at least once - you won't regret it!

Great location, good room with very comfy beds. Service very good. The corridor carpets are in need of replacing but they were in the process of dealing with this whilst we were there. Can't really fault it and a very nice hotel to stay in.

I loved this hotel. The bed was comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty. The valet parking is chaotic. Twice, I had to drive on the sidewalk to get through the jam at the front door. Also, the A/C blew over the bed and was too drafty. We spent two nights at the Lord Elgin Hotel. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and very good room darkening curtains. I was also pleased at how quiet the room was. The doormen were all very accommodating and gave us some great recommendations on places to eat and were knowledgeable about the area. We had an incredible first stay at the Lord Elgin Hotel! The room was fantastic. We rented the Churchill Suite for our wedding. It was a fantastic room for us because it had a full and well-stocked kitchen (napkins, plates, cutlery, serving utensils), a living and dining space, and an additional bathroom, making it a great space for hosting family and friends. Stayed 2 nights with my wife and kids and everyone was happy and comfortable with our room. The pool especially was a very nice temperature, there was a hot tub as well. We were close public parking so we did not use the valet. The staff were exceptional regardless. Close to everything and the park view was beautiful.

The concierge we communicated with were very helpful and always with a smile. Check in and Check out were a breeze! Location is ideal for us as we were there for a competition across the street and Parking was a bonus as it is so close and convenient.

The hotel is worth the price because of the staff! They are all friendly and very helpful. In special, the most wonderful person, Patricia, made our stay so much better! Because of Patricia, we decided that we will always come back to this hotel. If she change jobs, we will follow her wherever she works.

Breakfast is not included, it costs $18. Had a bit argument with the staff about should I tip at buffet. I really confused because it is a buffet and no one was serving me. Googled it a bit and found the advices were divided. Other than that, the room was clean, but has humming noise from the vent. Good location though

The hotel was great. I did the digital check-in with a mobile key, which gave me access to the parking. We had a late-night arrival and it all went perfectly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the restaurant in the lobby was fantastic; very kind and attentive staff, fully bilingual and so kind. (an extra 18$ per person, well worth it!) From the moment we entered the hotel, the staff was incredible. Helpful, kind and their energy makes you want to come back again. The wonderful lady who checked us in was beyond helpful and the lady who served me coffee in the morning was a pleasure to be around and her energy alone makes you want to come back! The best hotel I've stayed at in a long time.

Wow, what a great stay! I loved the fact that there was a pool and there was also a breakfast buffet! (Very tasty with lots of food). There was a fitness center too. I have one little comment, it did not bother me much but it might bother you: the rooms were a little bit smaller than the average 3-4 star hotel. In sum, a great hotel to stay in if you are visiting the Gatineau-Ottawa area
