Great location, and clean room.
The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is an iconic landmark in Ottawa, offering a perfect blend of luxury, history, and charm. Guests can enjoy a guided tour of the hotel to uncover its rich heritage. Adding a unique touch to the experience is Stewart, the hotel's beloved canine ambassador. This friendly black Labrador retriever, once trained as a guide dog, now welcomes guests and has even inspired a children...
Had to change room because it was dirty
Due to this experience, they upgraded the room
The location and environment are impeccable, and I have to say a few more words about the food and service. Since we arrived after 9pm, the French meal that ended at 10pm was not suitable, so the waiter introduced us to the international fusion cuisine opposite. The taste was good and met our expectations, but the variety was a little less. Diago at the front desk is what I want to introduce today...
The room is very spacious and the service is very thoughtful. They took the initiative to upgrade the room. The hotel facilities are indeed old, and the air conditioners are old. The sound insulation is average. The location is very good. Capitol Hill is next door.
We had a great stay. Beautiful, historic hotel. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and made our stay enjoyable!

Ottawa Marriott Hotel
Ottawa, 100 Kent St 🧭 Map
The Marriott is an older property with a contemporary lobby. It was very popular with conferences and at least one youth sports team at the time of our visit.
The location on Sparks Street can't be beat due to its proximity to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. There's so much within walking distance we didn't bother renting a car. There is a grab and go station by the front desk as well...
Good location and service was pretty good and helpful. Hotel is very dated, especially in the rooms which felt like they hadn’t been updated in at least 30 years….felt like I was in a Seniors building. Rooms were clean and staff were quite helpful. I was there for a conference and the catering was excellent. Much better than a lot of other similar types of meals I’ve had in similar situations.
Just stayed this past weekend,
Rooms a bit dated but corner room with river view was amazing.
Customer service was top notch.
Short walk to many locations.
Only con.. they never emailed me my receipt! Been waiting 2 days now.
Great location downtown - easy access to destinations by walking or driving, and right on top of a subway station. The room was charming in an unrenovated way, and had a great view. They cleverly made up for the lack of outlets with lamps that have outlets, which works pretty well. Good blackout curtains. The shower was great - old-school very strong - although set low for anyone of slightly more...
Many thanks to Aryan and Manager at front desk!
Aryan, demonstrated 5* customer service beyond expectations. Thank you Aryan and Manager at front desk.
I stayed 4 nights, the hotel rooms need many updates and show wear and tear, a lot of noise from events outside, but location is great and customer service is excellent.
The breakfast buffet and evening dining is very good too.
Location was perfect for lots of things that we could get to on foot. Exactly what we wanted! We had originally booked 5 nights, and extended it 3 extra nights because we absolutely loved our holiday, and we didn't want it to end!
All of the staff was very friendly, very helpful, and always so pleasant!

The Westin Ottawa
Ottawa, 11 Colonel By Dr 🧭 Map
Room on 13th floor was comfortable and well maintained.
One of my best experience in at hotel. The service was outstanding. The rooms are big and clean. The front desk was so helpful. I came for a conference and all the service were excellent.
Great place to stay if you’re visiting Ottawa. The decor was very nicely done and service was really good. The staff helped get a room based on eBay was needed, and the view was very beautiful! Good service and experience 😊
Caleb at the front desk is absolutely phenomenal at his job. He upgraded us and met our needs and expectations. His customer service is top notch and our stay at the Westin has been spectacular. Of course not to forget he gave us a corner room, spacious and with a mind-blowing view. The amenities at westin are great! Thank you Caleb and the rest of the team for your service. We are looking forward...
Five star experience. The service was fantastic. The food at our convention events was amazing. The location can't be beat. I had a magical stay. Just get the elevators fixed! Thank you!
I am enjoying my stay at the Westin. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the service is really good. The TV in the room has a personalized greeting, and the shower stall is roomy My only beef is the elevators make you select your room number before you enter them, which seems strange to me.

Ottawa, 100 Elgin St 🧭 Map
Friendly staff and rooms are very clean. Location is perfect , right in the downtown area. Would highly recommend.
We stayed at the Lord Elgin Hotel the night before our wedding, and it was a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, just what we needed before the big day. The valet service was quick and efficient, though it’s good to know there is a $44 charge per night. Overall, everything felt smooth and well taken care of, and we’re glad we chose to stay there...
For my first time staying overnight at Ottawa, I booked a hotel room for one night at Lord Elgin. Upon arriving early at the hotel, I was provided with a room before my check-in time - which was very appreciated. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. However, little did we know, our room on the 7th floor was connected to another room with adjoining doors. We were unable to sleep through...
We had a wonderful experience at the Lord Elgin for our wedding and related block booking. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly kind and patient. We felt comfortable and well taken care of and the hotel itself is gorgeous.
The hotel restaurant is also stellar, be sure to grab lunch or dinner at least once - you won't regret it!
Great location, good room with very comfy beds. Service very good. The corridor carpets are in need of replacing but they were in the process of dealing with this whilst we were there. Can't really fault it and a very nice hotel to stay in.
I loved this hotel. The bed was comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty. The valet parking is chaotic. Twice, I had to drive on the sidewalk to get through the jam at the front door. Also, the A/C blew over the bed and was too drafty. It was either too high, even at the lowest setting, or we had to turn it off, leaving us a bit warm. I loved the old world feel of the place...

Cleanliness, ease of check-in, friendly staff and great amenities on-site. Location is very walkable to all sights.
Rooms were small, especially the bathroom but tipical for big city. The service was excellent. The location was amazing. I was able to walk to everything I wanted to do.
The hotel needs an upgrade except for the lobby area is nice. There is a Tim Hortons attached to the hotel. The parking garage was difficult to navigate with tight turns and access only from a one way side street. Rooms was small but clean. Staff were extremely helpful! The location was close to amenities. You could walk to Parliament Hill and there was a food court across the street but only...
Very comfortable stay. We initially had to switch rooms because the ventilation system was so loud in the first room. But after that, not a hitch. Paying for parking is annoying, but we left the car for our whole stay and just walked everywhere. Lots of great restaurants and attractions within easy reach. Staff were very nice at the front desk. The pool was also quite nice (and a sauna too!).
Celebrating my husband's birthday in the capital city this weekend and so thankful we chose to stay at the Delta Ottawa City Centre. This is our 3rd time staying here and we've never been disappointed. The team even went above and beyond and left us a surprise in our room to wish my husband a happy birthday - they knew it was our first child-free weekend away in 5 years and wanted to make it extra...

Ottawa, 33 Nicholas St 🧭 Map
Amazing location. The area is right beside the Rideau Centre Mall with the Ottawa Arts Gallery across the street. Byward Market is mere steps away and the locks and Parliament easily walked to.
I’ve stayed here multiple times, it’s one of the best hotels in Ottawa.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with very generous dispensers for everything you need in the bathrooms, plus a large TV screen & fridge.
Service is fantastic, the staff are always very responsive, be it via phone or in-person.
The location is also phenomenal, easy walking distance to the Byward Market, CF Rideau...
A decent hotel. Comfortable. Wifi seems to require daily log in and becomes quite unstable on laptop (phone seems OK), which is inconvenient - video meetings interrupted or lost connection. A continuous connection throughout the stay without renewal is preferred.
Great location, friendly staff and decent rooms.
Highly displeased with the parking especially after paying 30$ per night. Highly under-maintained, dirty and not at all worth the money.
Overall a good place but could be better in terms of the brand Novotel carries.
Great location very close to parliament and other attractions. Room was spacious, bed very comfortable and temperature easy to control. Would have liked a choice of teas in the room. On the downside the hall outside the bedroom was scruffy with bits of tissue paper and was not vacuumed during our three night stay. The lift was also not too clean. The lobby was quite spartan. The buffet breakfast was...
We had a lovely stay over the May long weekend. The room was perfect for my family and the breakfast, while busy, was wonderful. My only issues would be with the parking and the pool. The parking garage is tight and the spots allocated for the hotel are minimal, we found it easier to park on a lower level. The pool is nice but I was not comfortable using if after about 5pm, at that time a group of...

Overall I had a great experience. I stayed two nights on business. The rooms were comfortable and a great size. The staff were helpful and approachable. The hotel was clean and inviting. I would stay there again without a doubt. I was surprised how much the hotel had to offer.
They have been a blessing! They have been understanding, caring, compassionate and truly kind throughout our stay and towards our delicate situation for the reason of our stay. ALL staffs at this hotel is absolutely incredible!! They made our stay stress-free and a place that we can find the peace that we needed. The surprise free shuttle service they offered at the hotel was a lifesaver for us!! So...
Stayed there for New Year's, the room was quite nice and overall hotel was pretty good, we never got to use any amenities such as the gym or the pool, but we did look at them and it looked appealing. The only complaint is that for wifi we had to use a portal which didn't work for our baby camera, which was the main reason we came to a hotel for so we can use the restaurant downstairs for new year's...
Thatcher was very welcoming and friendly when we first arrived. You can tell they care about the work.
Our dog came with us and it was so comfortable.
The pool was great and the gym was pretty good except many machines were in maintenance.
I only tried the Cafe but it was great service and simple yummy food!
My wife and I went for our 35th wedding anniversary and the stay was wonderful. Good size room, and meal at the restaurant was excellent with great, friendly service. Wonderfully decorated for Christmas. Helpful staff to make you feel at home, but not. Great to get away
Lovely hotel, rooms spacious and everything you could need. Great views. Breakfast buffet, plenty of choice. Only problem is that it's in the middle of a business estate so there's absolutely nothing around it in walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay and your discount!
The hygiene is average and the environment is good.
Our son and his beautiful bride chose Hilton Lac-Leamy for their wedding party venue this past weekend. Down to last detail our children's dream wedding was realized through staff's attention to every detail from the beautiful room to spacious dance floor; the m-e-m-o-r-a-b-l-e meal and excellent music!! Thank you to everyone at Hilton Lac-Leamy for making our children's Big Day so very special for...
Quite possibly the nicest Hilton property I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve been a diamond member for a long time. Rooms, service, food, the property grounds, pools and spa, the fitness center, all of it is amazing. My only complaint would be its distance from just about anything except the casino.
Wanted to leave a thank you/positive review for the security staff, specifically Roch who located an item I lost/left behind in the room we stayed in and is mailing it back to me. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and responsive. Very clean and lovely rooms, great ball room, breakfast buffet was excellent, I’ll be back! Thank you!
This is easily one of my absolute favourite hotels in all of Canada. I stay at the executive suites while I’m here and the service is fabulous. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. You get access to their premium lounge, which has a very beautiful view of the surrounding area. I really like the artwork throughout this building. They pay attention to detail. It’s cool that there’s a casino...

Sheraton Ottawa Hotel
Ottawa, 150 Albert St 🧭 Map
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had a leak in the toilet on the last day and immediately someone came to take care of it. The pool was closed but they did offer an alternative, but it was an 8 minute walk so we passed because of the young kids. The rooms are clean and the location is great! Very close to the parliament building!
Amazing front desk experience. The folks at the bar are super friendly too. The one thing that keeps me from giving a 5 star review was the noisy construction in the hotel basement, which I could hear from the 7th floor. Aside from that, it was A1.
Nice hotel, helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was very nice with a good selection of options. Menu items were good too.
Room was clean and prepared nicely. Parking garage was under construction but the valet service was still available; great service by the valets.
I travel to Ottawa quite a bit for work and I always stay at the Sheraton. This hotel seems to have the comfiest beds and the service is always excellent. The bar lounge is being renovated so it was a bit hectic and loud in the lobby, and bar service was a little bit slower than normal. The staff are very helpful though and I enjoy staying here.
Decent hotel - room was clean and comfortable. Perhaps a little dated, but overall it did what it needed to do (supply sleeping quarters)
Meeting room floor was decently laid out.
Neighbourhood is safe and clean, although it's a business district, so super dead outside business hours.
Had a important business meeting Thursday morning, so we decided to drive up to Ottawa Wednesday. We checked in at front desk the lady working was friendly and very professional. As well as the door greeter. Even though I was dressed like a homeless person lol my suite was in my luggage. We grabed our bags and our truck was taken by valet.
Pros:Room was spacious and newly renovated. Bed super comfy...

Lovely staff; great view of the city; excellent location though noisy at times with the window open; bed was very comfortable;
Really well located hotel near parliament hill, close to a few of the nice Ottawa museums, and right at the by market.
Each room is in its own little 2-3 rooms nook so there’s no noise issues from the corridor.
And you get included water, chips, chocolate and Coca Cola included in the room, which is a nice touch!

Went here on a whim for wife birthday. We both loved it right from the time we checked in. The vibe of the place is very well thought out. A udury was always there to greet us when we came downstairs and was consistently ready to help—I’m not sure when he even found time to sleep during our three-day stay! Evan also stepped in when we had a small issue in our room while room service was unavailable, and his assistance was greatly appreciated. Both staff members were truly wonderful and made our stay better. However, I would skip breakfast...
The hotel was great. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and staff was great. FYI the bathrooms are open concept. All opened to the actual room besides the toilet, clear glass showers. The area was not the best area. Didn’t feel comfortable walking around alone.
Great location and beautifully appointed rooms, but the only thing was that the parking was a bit hard to find and we had to drive around once. Other than that, all was excellent, especially the staff, they were very pleasant to deal with.

Great hotel and very centrally located. Our room was cozy and comfortable, only downside was housekeeping only dropped of fresh towels but didn't clean or straighten the room during our stay.
Desk staff was friendly and accommodating.
The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in. However, it was clean but dated. The only meal, currently available in the hotel restaurant, is breakfast but it was delicious and the service was fantastic. The front desk originally wanted me to park behind the building, I did not because it was cramped with piles of snow so we parked underground instead. Also there hotel front is all stairs so it...
Booked 2 rooms for my band as we were playing at a near by venue. Clean rooms, friendly service and good value! Lots of parking underground and out back however pickups and most suv’s will not fit underground due to extremely low ceilings! My rating would be a 5 if they either provided a free parking spot or a continental breakfast. Regardless, I’ll likely book with them again when I’m back in town
Nice hotel, $200+ is not for the room itself, it's simple, nothing special, showering isn't for those above 6 feet but the soaps don't dry you out. Great location to parliament and other hot spots, parking does fit a giant SUV and their in room coffee has a dairy free creamer option which is swell. Would recommend:)
Was there on a business trip. The space is clean but a little basic compared to Le Germain on the same street. The staff was professional and courteous. The hotel is surrounded by pharmacies and small restaurants which is great. Watch out for a few impracticals like having a staircase instead of flat ground or a ramp in front of the hotel (awkward pulling luggage up).
Hotel and conference rooms are clean. Nice in-house restaurant with good food but a bit pricey in my opinion ($20 for a hamburger with fries for lunch. Not too bad). Friendly service. Enjoyed my time.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Metcalfe. The hotel lobby design is gorgeous. It is definitely the standout feature. Would have given 5 stars but the AC in the room was hard to control.
The fan speeds, had low, medium and high but it was either off or on full blast and it was somewhat noisy and irritating blowing on us as we were sleeping. Great central location in the capital. In a word, the lobby is great and the rooms are spacious and equipped with all imaginable facilities.

Avalon Bed and Breakfast
Ottawa, 539 Besserer Street, K1N 6C6 Ottawa, Canada 🧭 Map
Great place and service. That’s a plus for sure. Didn’t like the squeaky floors though. We could hear neighbouring guests walking up and down and we were also worried about moving around for fear of disturbing other guests. Isn’t there a way the sound-proofing issue could be comprehensively solved for this otherwise great place?
We booked it fairly last minute but were really happy with our choice! Kevin was really friendly and made an amazing breakfast! All the rules were very easy to follow and he had everything organized including parking situation! Definitely will visit again.
It is an old house, not a real hotel. The floors are squicky and the walls are thin.
Cozy and comfortable, rooms need more soundproofing
