The room is very spacious and the service is very thoughtful. They took the initiative to upgrade the room. The hotel facilities are indeed old, and the air conditioners are old. The sound insulation is average. The location is very good. Capitol Hill is next door.

The view from my room was fantastic. It was a spacious, comfortable suite. I booked it partly for the kitchenette, and was disappointed that nothing was provided in that kitchenette. No dishes, cutlery or glassware. This defeated the purpose of having a kitchen. The hotel is very convenient for using the transit system.

Nice place to stay. Pool is nice. Stayed for a hockey tournament, kids ran the whole floor. Parents were able to order pizza locally and eat in the hall. That was good since the resto at the hotel could not accomodate the 30 of us on such short notice.(Not a complaint, just suggest if you are going to, make a reservation early so they know your coming)

Nice welcoming lobby with a beautiful fountain/garden display. Took very long to check in as there was only one desk worker. Beds were more on the firm side which is alright, I slept pretty well and that's the most important part to me. The beds seemed a bit old and we're very squeaky, just getting in and out of them sounded comical. Overall not too bad.

Large suite, nice rooms. Hotel is a little old and needs renovations.. underground parking is very sketchy and creepy. The parking spots are very small as well. Its a decent place to stay when downtown Ottawa is fully booked, it's closed to the war museum and nice parks.

This is a really good property! The location is great to Ottawa but at the same time it gets you away from all the busyness of the city. The staff is great I gave them a bit of a hard time about parking and they had all the patience in the world. When I realized I was wrong I apologize profusely but they were very good about it. Lots of homeless people around the hotel and no parking available. I had to parc at the neighbouring Arc hotel which felt unsafe at night, alone with my kids.

Crisp Linens Comfy Bed I was pleasantly surprised on how laidback this hotel vibe is. Perfect for our 2 night stay for a business Convention. I attended a small business conference here that totalled about 10 people. The meeting room was clean, organized, and quiet. The rooms were much appreciated by all as perfect junior suites with bedroom and separate sitting area. We have stayed in this location over 5 times, and are always pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms. David and Karrah are extremely helpful, and ensure that our stay is pleasant. The restaurant attached is phenomenal, and we look forward the the breakfast every morning.

Loved the hotel, the location, the breakfast! ( though they could have more fruit). It has kitchen, laundry room and pool, so very family oriented. I went with my 3 kids and we had a great time. The staff is also very kind and friendly.

The room is quite big but the design is not reasonable. The bed and pillows are quite comfortable. The only drawback is the water pressure. I was pleasantly surprised by my room, it's very beautiful, clean and well maintained. I can't comment too much on location as it's my first day. Service is lovely overall. We had a wonderful experience at the Lord Elgin for our wedding and related block booking. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly kind and patient. We felt comfortable and well taken care of and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The hotel restaurant is also stellar, be sure to grab lunch or dinner at least once - you won't regret it!

I loved this hotel. The bed was comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty. The valet parking is chaotic. Twice, I had to drive on the sidewalk to get through the jam at the front door. Also, the A/C blew over the bed and was too drafty. It was either too high, even at the lowest setting, or we had to turn it off, leaving us a bit warm. I loved the old world feel of the place...

Excellent customer services. The breakfast is great with many different choices of food. Exceptional great staff serving the breakfast area, very efficient in replenishing food trays and clearing tables. They are all very friendly. The room is very roomy and clean. Underground parking is bright and spacious.

It is a surprisingly good place to stay. The reception is very warm welcoming, our room key was prepared in advance and the check in is very quick. The room (the suite) is very big, clean and with all kinds of amenities. The only thing one may concern is that the room decoration is a little old, however not a problem at all.

When you book an independent motel, you aren't booking a big chain, recognize the difference and you will be very happy. Stayed for a few days in one of the suites, little dated but roomy, well maintained. Every suite has a little covered patio area. Didn't try the pool but it looked clean.

I like the layout I like the ease at which I could change my reservation midday and I like that I was able to do a cash deposit after my return visit that was very convenient for me

The rooms, are not bad, but some the employees are rude, I had made reservations a week in advance, only to find out they had given away my room, and when I tried to get some answers they hung up on me.

Do not book this hotel for the advertised pool, It wasn't functional Dec. 2024 and May 2025. A little disappointing if travelling with little ones. Everyone loves a pool!

Was not a 5 star as it isn't one. However despite my immediate impression upon the first 3 mins of being on the property, I almost left. The location is good. The car was left in the parking lot the next day. All the attractions were visited on foot. We checked in at all the main attractions, had lunch and drove away. It was very convenient and worth recommending.

Our first week here we found alot of needles and pipes around. Needless to say we werent impressed. Poor maintenance, the Wi-Fi signal barely works, never hot water, and the staff are less than proffesional. Dont forget the endless screaming of guests whove got their entire family with them (sometimes 8 ppl) in a single room. This place used to be so nice. I wish theyd make the effort to clean it up...

It's well center , you can walk to go to restaurants, LCBO right next door,superstore beside it , laundry mat on next block, you have all the commodity around the motel and it's a clean place

The place and prices are good for what it is. The reviews people post is as if though they are expecting luxury standards. Relax people. They have everything you need and are very helpful. In addition everything is walking distance and downtown is shy of 10 minutes away.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They accommodated me with 2 beds when I asked for one because they did not have a single bed. We got way more than we expected. I recommend this place for any traveler on a budget.

Beautiful, cozy B&B in the heart of Ottowa, a beautiful old brick house, a small hotel that also has a family touch thanks to the hostess. The rooms are tastefully furnished and still offer all the comforts. In the bathroom I found everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable.

A heritage house with all the heritage house charms. And the Manx Pub a minute away. A delightful find of Ontario beers and lamb curry, and many vegetarian options. A lovely spot, clean, convenient, and charming. I’ll stay again.
