We had a wonderful experience at the Lord Elgin for our wedding and related block booking. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly kind and patient. We felt comfortable and well taken care of and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The hotel restaurant is also stellar, be sure to grab lunch or dinner at least once - you won't regret it!

Great location, good room with very comfy beds. Service very good. The corridor carpets are in need of replacing but they were in the process of dealing with this whilst we were there. Can't really fault it and a very nice hotel to stay in.

I loved this hotel. The bed was comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty. The valet parking is chaotic. Twice, I had to drive on the sidewalk to get through the jam at the front door. Also, the A/C blew over the bed and was too drafty. It was either too high, even at the lowest setting, or we had to turn it off, leaving us a bit warm. I loved the old world feel of the place...

I've stayed here 3 times for work and every experience has been pleasant. Staff are friendly and the hotel is clean. This place is no frills and does not have a lot of extra amenities (like a fitness center, pool, etc.) But it has all you need for a quiet and nice stay. The breakfast is included and a good value.

Great and affordable place to stay - the free breakfast had eggs and sausages, lots of bread, coffee, juice, and some fruit. The room was clean and spacious, and the parking lot was close to the building. It was also nice to have a lot of different restaurants near the hotel, as well as a strip mall with a Walmart (since we forgot a bunch of things!).

What a gem of a hotel/short term residence. Stayed here for my 35th bday celebration and the hotel staff was so accommodating and helped to make my birthday one to remember. The rooms feel less like a hotel and more like your own little apartment in the city and all who came to visit were also very impressed by the layout (2 bedroom/2 bathrooms!). A true 10/10! cant wait to stay here again!

Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Lovely welcoming environment right off the hop. Quite possibly the nicest Hilton property I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve been a diamond member for a long time. Rooms, service, food, the property grounds, pools and spa, the fitness center, all of it is amazing. My only complaint would be its distance from just about anything except the casino.

Hotel itself is a landmark and has its historical value. When we visited the hotel had electricity issues but we were lucky as they resolved our side quickly. Thatcher was very welcoming and friendly when we first arrived. You can tell they care about the work. Our dog came with us and it was so comfortable. Really well located hotel near parliament hill, close to a few of the nice Ottawa museums, and right at the by market. Each room is in its own little 2-3 rooms nook so there’s no noise issues from the corridor. And you get included water, chips, chocolate and Coca Cola included in the room, which is a nice touch! The Marriott is an older property with a contemporary lobby. It was very popular with conferences and at least one youth sports team at the time of our visit. The location on Sparks Street can't be beat due to its proximity to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. There's so much within walking distance we didn't bother renting a car. Hotel is very dated, especially in the rooms which felt like they hadn’t been updated in at least 30 years….felt like I was in a Seniors building. Rooms were clean and staff were quite helpful. Stayed here over weekend family trip/work trip. Suites are well sized for price and have good amenities, exception is no restaurant/coffee shop. Note there is a small grocer next door for supplies.

My stay here was nice. They upgraded my room, it was clean and the bed comfy. Is was the smell of cigarettes on the third floor that bothered me. Maybe it doesn't always smell that way but seemed pretty set in. Frankly, it's an affordable downtown option. The rooms are large, have patios and all the amenities a suite should offer. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had a leak in the toilet on the last day and immediately someone came to take care of it. The pool was closed but they did offer an alternative, but it was an 8 minute walk so we passed because of the young kids. The rooms are clean and the location is great! I travel to Ottawa quite a bit for work and I always stay at the Sheraton. This hotel seems to have the comfiest beds and the service is always excellent. The bar lounge is being renovated so it was a bit hectic and loud in the lobby, and bar service was a little bit slower than normal. The staff are very helpful though and I enjoy staying here.

Really enjoy staying at Alt Hotels - we last stayed at the one in St John’s NL. The room at the one in Ottawa was almost the same layout which was great. The only difference was the beds which are very soft/plush in Ottawa; it was hard on my back and I didn’t sleep very well. Minor issue and a personal preference.

My first time at the British hotel for some beer and food! Had the Mediterranean pizza, which was very good. Great friendly staff, French and English spoken. Prices are good for the size of food you get. Will definitely go back again!

My first time back in over 20 years! Damn this place has changed. Gone are the days of slum dive. Now it's an updated top-notch pub with great fare and a decent brew selection. Wish they had more craft beer though. Although, order a coffee. Awesome roast!

Dined here on a very busy night and despite that, both the food and service were incredible. Our server was very patient with our young kids and made great suggestions to accommodate them. Great selection of craft beer and generous food portions. The sweet potato fries were hands down the best I’ve ever had.

Hats off to the staff last night at The British! It was a table of 12 and the occasion was a special 18th birthday. The celebrated young lady travelled from California to be with us. Gatineau is an old town of Quebec, and the British Pub reflects the best of town. Located on a sweet street that ends up on a river scene, the place is built in 1800s and decorations reflect the history of not only the pub but the town. Their rose sangria is so amazing if you're down for a light and tasty cold refreshment.

Room was very clean and spacious. Pool temperature was great and so was the hot tub. Restaurant had a great breakfast buffet. Check in and checkout was fast and easy. If you are looking for a hotel that is close to the airport, this is the place to stay.

It's been absolutely lovely. Is it so high end you're afraid to touch anything? No. But it's pretty, comfortable and the rooms are VERY spacious! I got the cheapest single room and it's as big as my apartment! The young lady who checked me in was lovely, professional and friendly. I even got a room to watch planes from at night which is so awesome! I'm thrilled! My ONLY qualm: the carpets in the halls...

We booked the Hilton for our first anniversary date. The hotel is very clean. The hot tub was wonderful and thankfully nobody was in it when we were there. I was disappointed that the rooms didn’t use glass glasses I don’t enjoy drinking wine out of paper cups the bed was comfortable and everything was clean And staff were pleasant. Ryan and Lori out.

We booked a block of 13 rooms for our daughter's wedding that took place on October 1st, 2022. Christina and the staff were wonderful to work with from the time we opened the room block until the day after the wedding. Everything OK in room. Great idea to have Nespresso coffee but would have liked some cream or milk cups in fridge.

Renos definitely needed, as my mattress had no protection and not pretty to see. No hot tub, and pool was cold and questionable. Booked with Wyndham made to look like you're getting breakfast free but they charge $12.00 and even I had to buy my own coffee for $2.50. Very unacceptable. But it was close to the casino which was fun.

The staff respond fast to any request. Rooms are kept well. Not much of a view but good location. Gym is decent, pool is small but nice, dry sauna is a nice addition. Breakfast is $12 for all you can eat toast, scrambled (or you can order), sausage and soft pork are so so, French toast is yum, taters and beans are OK.

Stayed here for one week and loved the place, overall a great place, i remember i paid not too much for my stay and everything was excellent. Sam and Brooklyn at the front desk were super nice too!

Stayed here several times now. Large capacity with plenty of rooms, most of which have been renovated with laminate flooring and newer décor. Still needs some renovation though, some of the rooms are older and so are the hallways.

Great hotel but has the WORST restaurant connected to it. Seriously. The fried were terrible, chicken god-awful! Go anywhere else! An alley would be better
