Fairmont Chateau Laurier, Ottawa1 / 38
7.4
Ottawa, 1 Rideau Street 🧭 Map
I highly recommend the Fairmont Château Laurier for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in the city
Hotel itself is a landmark and has its historical value. When we visited the hotel had electricity issues but we were lucky as they resolved our side quickly. The charm of the hotel is on another level
Next to the Rideau Canal and Parliament made it even better. Recommend to book a parliament view room. Highly recommended in my books
Very nice location but old hotel that needs some updates. Our coffee machine did not work as they had it plugged into a power bar that kept blowing fuse’s
I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback from our recent stay at your property. Firstly, I must commend your team for the warm welcome and efficient check-in process upon our arrival
Additionally, the thoughtful birthday amenity for my hubby was a kind gesture that did not go unnoticed. Due to our brief one-night stay and the unavailability of a reservation, we were unable to dine there

We had a staycation at Lord Elgin this weekend and had a lovely experience. The room was clean and fully equipped with everything you would need. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly
We had a wonderful experience at the Lord Elgin for our wedding and related block booking. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly kind and patient
With everything you need in walking distance, you really can't get much better than this! Lastly, the hotel restaurant was quite good, with efficient service. We highly recommend treating yourself to a stay here!
We spent two nights at the Lord Elgin Hotel. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and very good room darkening curtains. I was also pleased at how quiet the room was
It was a fantastic room for us because it had a full and well-stocked kitchen (napkins, plates, cutlery, serving utensils), a living and dining space, and an additional bathroom, making it a great space for hosting family and friends
The manager also arrange for a treat of bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries for us in our room as a wedding gift! The location was perfect as we were having our wedding reception on Elgin

Service is great at the front desk. Location is central in the downtown and I didn’t have any safety concerns walking around in the evening outside. The breakfast cafe is really hit and miss
Both beds were comfortable and the room was nice clean and the staff were amazing
We got sent here by Air Canada due to an unexpected overnight layover. It was very nice! The room was very clean and modern, and the staff were very kind! They also have a great bar with many drink options!
It is announced as pet friendly and it is really pet friendly, our dog was welcome with a blanket, a cushion and bowls already there in the room. The bar area is comfy and the staff is really helpful Warmly recommend
Excellent hotel in the heart of downtown Ottawa that is very dog friendly! No issues with check in. Room was large, clean, and very modern. They had a dog bed and bowls ready in our room as well
Room is nice, clean and relatively spacious. The view wasn’t good, but l didn’t care. I did enjoy the free pool table near the bar in the lobby.

Capital Hill Hotel & Suites
Ottawa, 88 Albert Street 🧭 Map
Disappointing that the very nice restaurant /cafe has excellent food and atmosphere but only does breakfast and lunch and closes at 2:00 pm. It was very central and within walking distance of many things
Went for a paper work and i got all the work done smoothly. Appreciate the service provided by Bangladesh High Commission. Everyone was very helpful and informative. Complete the work at the shortest possible time...
Nothing exceptional from the hospitality side of the overnight team, bit a true sense of hospitality rang loud and clear from any and every interaction of the day time staff and management, from email correspondence with management, to front desk, to staff I passed in the hallway
You only get the 10% off breakfast if you ask reception for a voucher beforehand. Parking is free all weekend at the World Exchange Plaza opposite the hotel (otherwise the hotel takes $20/night)
Nice clean spot. Spacious rooms with a balcony. Great housekeeping. Cool little kitchenette with fridge and microwave. My only minor complaint is that they only have pop machines, no snacks.
The sum of all the reviews I read were a better reflection of the experience than I expected. It provided everything I could gave expected for the price and location

I love this property so much and I will always stay here when I’m in Ottawa. I would like to give a special shout out to Abdul & Angelo at the front desk. These two individuals are one of the main reasons I love it here
The rooms were up to date with comfy beds. There’s a number of styles of rooms so just don’t look at the pictures, read the room type you’re looking for and you’ll be fine. It is only a 10-15 min walk from everything
We have been traveling the east coast for a week and a half. This was our favourite hotel experience so far. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed
There personal touch, personalities and professionalism are next level. The way they perform there position day in and day out makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and at your home away from home
The entire property is well cared for, clean and comfortable. Thank you for always taking care of me when visiting. The entire Byward Blue Team are some of the best in the industry
It had a balcony which was really nice. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. It is a little off the beaten path, but we like that. Parking was a bit squishy but we made it work

Motel Du Chevalier
Gatineau, 169 Gréber Blvd. 🧭 Map
We came here the day before and after my boyfriend had day surgery at Gatineau hospital. The motel was very quite considering there were a lot of construction worker's from out of town staying there
The room was nice and the desk clerk was very compassionate knowing exactly what we needed the room for, he tucked us in a easily accessible ground level room away from most of the other guests
Very clean motel and modern and the service is great me and my hubby as been going here for a good 15 years ..and it has a nice swimming pool too.
A little more pricey than the other motels we tried to check into as they were all booked up with construction workers
The place is cozy and very good to stay for a night or two, once opening the room door there was a good smell, which relieved after a long day of work, I gave it 4 stars not 5 just because the front desk man didn’t provide me a receipt for the room, also he insisted to get the car licence plate number, he made me go back and forth a couple of times which I didn’t like after 12 hrs working
Our room did not seem to be extremely well sealed from outside air, the smokers in the parking lot outside the next room could be smelled, and the parking lot was rather icy, but those are the only real complaints I can think of

Ottawa, 30 Daly Avenue 🧭 Map
Stayed in a couple different rooms, all are modern and bright/fresh. Staff are accommodating, attentive, and thoughtful. Definitely recommend checking out the restaurant for dinner or buffet breakfast
This hotel is luxurious, and is super-modern. It has a very high level of service from everyone who you deal with. Every evening there was a turn-down service and we got left water and herbal tea
Room amenities - water carafes beside the bed, robes, ironing board, automatic blinds, great tea and coffee, glassware and lots of bath and body care added up to a very relaxing stay
The location is good and within a five-minute walk there are several coffee shops and a large shopping mall. We had a room with blinds that went up electronically
There is a good espresso machine in the room and a modern elegant chair. The wifi was very good, and there was a good desk to do work at in the room
Staff went out of their way to make our son feel welcomed and special by doing something in the room for him. Staff are also very helpful and kind

Econo Lodge Downtown Ottawa
Ottawa, 475 Rideau Street 🧭 Map
It was a very comfortable stay at Econo Lodge. The room was super clean with all the basic things included. Speaking about location, it's in the heart of the downtown making it easy for any commute
The position of the hotel is very good for everything that needs to be done in Downtown. There are plenty of nice restaurants and markets a short distance from the hotel.
not bad, I was pretty ok with the place, room 118, ground level, clean room, good hot water in the shower, stayed there over the family day long weekend, close to the market for a good walk
The location also had many restaurants which were convenient to reach on foot and quick delivery. A 24/7 concierge and service was good. Apart from this, the lodge has a large parking lot
Pleasantly surprised! Room was comfy and clean. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Outside needs curb appeal but a cost friendly motel for downtown.
Breakfast was good, coffee was hot, parking was tight, a lot of snow so I get it. yeah I would stay there again

Absolutely phenomenal experience. We were in Ottawa for two nights and the location was just perfect. close to all the major landmarks and also there is a 24/7 diner close to the inn which makes it very convenient
We stayed here because, knowing Ottawa quite well, we wanted the ease of a downtown location. The "Northern" room had a bathroom en-suite which we really wanted - not all the rooms do
The room (Newfoundland) was quiet, and comfortable. The location was great (lots of restaurants and coffee shops around) and you could walk easily to most things. We had no issue with parking (paid an extra $10 for it…
They provide a continental breakfast (which we did not use), which looked well stocked and ready quite early. The owner is frankly adorable, and a pleasant introduction to the location
They have parking at the rear which can house up to three cars; however with snow this shrinks a little, making things a bit tight. Just be aware of this, and you'll be fine
I knew about this ahead of time). Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. A fair price for a very comfortable stay
