The Marriott is an older property with a contemporary lobby. It was very popular with conferences and at least one youth sports team at the time of our visit

It was very difficult to get sleep, which was a shame because the hotel was amazingly quiet for all the bustling activities going on! Other than that, a room contained a sofa bed and armchair, a mini fridge, a bathrobe, and excellent shower

Good location and service was pretty good and helpful. Hotel is very dated, especially in the rooms which felt like they hadn’t been updated in at least 30 years…. felt like I was in a Seniors building

It gave me back pain every morning and the pillows were just not a good fit for me. Any little motion by my partner felt like a tidal wave rippling across the bed

The valet service was quick and efficient, though it’s good to know there is a $44 charge per night. Overall, everything felt smooth and well taken care of, and we’re glad we chose to stay there for such a special moment

Stayed 2 nights with my wife and kids and everyone was happy and comfortable with our room. The pool especially was a very nice temperature, there was a hot tub as well

For my first time staying overnight at Ottawa, I booked a hotel room for one night at Lord Elgin. Upon arriving early at the hotel, I was provided with a room before my check-in time - which was very appreciated

The location is also phenomenal, easy walking distance to the Byward Market, CF Rideau Centre, the Canadian Mint, plus the National Art Gallery. They’re also a pet friendly establishment 🥰

Overall a good place but could be better in terms of the brand Novotel carries

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with very generous dispensers for everything you need in the bathrooms, plus a large TV screen & fridge

There were a few amazing surprises we got to discover during our stay like the mini arcade for kids and the cafe that carries Starbucks brand. The restaurant we got to try had great food and we had a great experience

I also particularly appreciated the elevators that required a card to use to get to the rooms. There's lots in this hotel which is great and close lots of stores and such that you may need throughout your stay

The rooms and view were great as well. They also offered water in the mini fridge. The beds are comfortable and it's a clean hotel. Having the pool and hot tub was an absolute great bonus to have for the kids

The only complaint is that for wifi we had to use a portal which didn't work for our baby camera, which was the main reason we came to a hotel for so we can use the restaurant downstairs for new year's

I travel to Ottawa quite a bit for work and I always stay at the Sheraton. This hotel seems to have the comfiest beds and the service is always excellent

Bed super comfy , salt water pool, good breakfast variety. Soup had nice smell, comfy house coat. Valet parking Cons:View was terrible facing a government building and ally way, toilet was small and very uncomfortable

Breakfast buffet was very nice with a good selection of options. Room was clean and prepared nicely. Parking garage was under construction but the valet service was still available; great service by the valets

The bar lounge is being renovated so it was a bit hectic and loud in the lobby, and bar service was a little bit slower than normal. The staff are very helpful though and I enjoy staying here

Good hotel, clean and easy access to the highway/amenities. It seemed to have a plumbing issue with slow draining and flushing that will hopefully be fixed in the future. Also the pool was out of order.

We had a great stay at the Andaz. It came with many perks such as complimentary wine, snacks and bottled water. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The locally made soaps are wonderful

Stayed for a hockey tournament, kids ran the whole floor. Parents were able to order pizza locally and eat in the hall. That was good since the resto at the hotel could not accomodate the 30 of us on such short notice

It is nicely furnished and provides all promised amenities. The service is bilingual, helpful, and accommodating — although some staff members seem to struggle slightly with questions asked in English

The hotel is clean, modern, and nicely situated. The grounds are lovely and include a patio/garden area outside. The room is larger than I thought it would be but otherwise just as expected

The rooms are spacious and clean, but unfortunately, the air conditioner is a bit noisy. The hotel uses a central air-conditioning system, which is much quieter than traditional independent air conditioners

The hotel is more impressive than expected, and transportation is convenient. Most of the scenic spots can be reached on foot by crossing the bridge. Of course, it's also easy to park if you drive here

Amazing service and such beautiful rooms! Jacuzzi bath tub (room for two) . The breakfast buffet is ok but nothing special. The hot tub is awesome but the pool (although heated) isn't the best.

Large capacity with plenty of rooms, most of which have been renovated with laminate flooring and newer décor. Still needs some renovation though, some of the rooms are older and so are the hallways

Breakfast is $12 for all you can eat toast, scrambled (or you can order), sausage and soft pork are so so, French toast is yum, taters and beans are OK

Renos definitely needed, as my mattress had no protection and not pretty to see. No hot tub, and pool was cold and questionable. Booked with Wyndham made to look like you're getting breakfast free but they charge $12

To top it off we ordered from the hotel restaraunt for dinner and it was excellent- priced well for pub food that was tastier than expected and delivered right to our room, glad we went that route instead of other food delivery options

Modern architecture with exposed concrete in ceilings and columns make the building quiet. Comfortable firm bed and big pillows. Interesting room layout with a frosted glass window between the shower and the bedroom

Very comfortable beds and pillows! Restaurant doesn't have the best food in my opinion but there are lots of restaurants nearby on Elgin st. Very convenient to get to the downtown area

Just around the corner is a good selection of restaurants and little shops. Only thing that could be improved is the number of dishes in the kitchen

Everything is within walking distance. Suites are nice so you don't have to eat out all the time. Parking nearby is also great as city Hall has over 700 spots underground and is within 2 minutes walk

The in hotel restaurant “Cocotte” is also beautifully designed although we didn’t eat have a chance to try it out. The rooms were your basic modern style hotel room

The front clerk upon check in, I forget his name, I wish I remembered as he was excellent. And beyond! The total staff was excellent. The location was excellent for us, in the center of every place we wanted to go

The fan speeds, had low, medium and high but it was either off or on full blast and it was somewhat noisy and irritating blowing on us as we were sleeping

I did not mention to the front desk, I'm sure they would have tried to address it the best they could but we were only there for one night and that was fine

In addition, the last two times I stayed here, getting a taxi in the morning seems to take a VERY long time, even when I ask in advance. Something to keep in mind if you need to depart early

As always, I stayed at the Best Western Downtown Suites and as always this hotel never fails to deliver! A clean, modern and well decorated room, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchenette including a great coffee machine with plenty of K-cups and teas supplied along side

It's always nice to see the familiar friendly staff that go out of their way to ensure your stay is pleasant at this hotel. To me this speaks volumes about the management's commitment to looking after their employees
