I wish I could give them another star. The people working there are super nice, but the room service is off. For two days in a row, we put the do not disturb sign outside of our room, but the room keeper still came in and cleaned our room. The worst part about that is that they took our personal towels, and we never saw them again. That is why I gave a four star review.

Huge hotel! It has a Starbucks, a restaurant, and is super close to malls, drugstores, and all within walking distance. The rooms are nice and big, with a fridge, microwave and coffee machine. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Definitely a 5 star hotel! I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was really nice and clean. I especially loved the steakhouse/bar in the lobby - Chop. It was also extremely close to Denny's. Just spent 4 nights here, room was clean, bright and updated. Was also quite spacious. I was nervous booking a “motel” for security reasons but the building and area felt safe and secure. It’s a little out of the way if you plan on spending your time in downtown Vancouver, traffic made it quite a bit of a commute. But I would stay here again.

This is not your average hotel! Sure it is clean and comfortable, the staff friendly (and happy!) and all you would expect, but the extra effort to maintain the property shows. We were with a group of 40 and the staff went over and above to provide excellent service (even during the extended worker's strike) to all of us. Not a guest, I was only there for a 3 day work conference. The catering was varied and fantastic, suiting the wide dietary needs of our group and the staff slipped in and out of the room to set up so silently we did not even notice them. Hey.. it's imperfect. But it's inexpensive, close to a lot of cool stuff, and I thought overall it was ok. If you're a traveler like me this place ain't bad.

Safe and secure, but has/had roaches. The owner/manager apologetically told us this after we checked in. We sprayed our own bug spray along the window sill and all around the door so that we would not leave with critters in our bags. It worked; we left clean. Places to eat to are all close by. The most important feature in a hotel room for me is the bed. And I wish the bed & linens were as high quality as the rest of the hotel. Both nights I stayed I ended up sleeping on the floor. The bed is squishy with no support and the pillows are little more then disguised tissue paper.

Staff were very friendly and helpful with hotel dealings (areas not to go, restaurants, and places to visit). All our rooms had all the right things in it. With coffee machines, all adapters close to the bed and in the right places. Our bed was so comfortable our first morning. I really didn't want to get up. Great hotel with a convenient location for both the business and leisure traveler. The room I was assigned had a problem with a noisy AC, but I was moved to a wonderful new room with stunning views out the tower window. I think this hotel experience really depends what tower you are in! The one tower has a huge rooms, and isn’t busy with residence as well. It is a typical mid range Marriott hotel. You have to ask for certain things like robes which should already be in the room. Could definitely use some upgrades though. The yellow and blue is dated and feels ready for a facelift.

Was there for medical reasons, from out of town. Our flight had been delayed 7 hours. As a result, we were a 3 am check in. They super accommodating and pleasant. We loved our room cause it was on the 23rd floor and we had a great view of the fireworks.

The bed is firm which I actually love. Also their green initiative is great and encourages you to not use the room services if you don't need it. One problem though was that the bathroom has visible mold spots on the ceiling right above the hot tubs. The patio was huge, the bathroom had a deep soaking tub, a relaxing rainfall shower with very good hot water and pressure and the toilet is in a separate room from the tub/shower/sink. They let us check in a couple hours earlier and gave us a much unexpected upgrade! Staff was wonderful in the lobby and in the restaurant as well, the room was nice and cozy, super clean (I’m a clean freak) and both the room and the towels didnt smell like harsh chemicals which I loved. Super walkable to some of the tourist spots and lots of restaurants and cafes. 10/10 will stay here again next time...

Accommodation prices in Vancouver are eye-watering, and this is one of the cheaper options in the central city. I found the service exceptional and the highlight of my visit. The shared bathroom wasn't the issue I thought it might be - I was always able to access it when needed. The room was clean and tidy, but pretty basic and very warm. Great location. Rooms are super clean for being over 100 years old. I heard some rooms have shared bathrooms but ours had it's own. The people running the hotel were all really great. Very friendly and helpful. There was no air conditioning which was fine in may, but possibly could be hot in August. Location was central to everything we wanted to do in downtown. I booked the cheapest room available. The rooms are very fancy and the view is absolutely amazing! The showers are renovated too. I was welcomed to a fancy and beautiful lobby and I checked in to my room which was luxurious and the furniture looked fancy too. The money you pay for if you wanna stay here is worth it the design of the rooms are very cool.

This hotel is very well located in the shopping district of Vancouver, just a 15 min walk downhill to the harbor front. The service was great, and the rooms, although slightly dated, were very comfortable and quite spacious (king bed). The restaurant attached was truly the highlight. I didn’t know anything about this hotel when i booked it for three nights. What a delight it was. My room was lovely. The colours and textures were very soothing. The shower was a delight. The bed was goldilocks perfect. But most of all the staff was fantastic. Everyone was kind and seemed happy to have me there. If you need a calm getaway this is it.

The Skwachàys Lodge is a nice place to stay in Vancouver. The room was amazing and the staff is super nice. The location is tricky: very close to Water street which is full of restaurants and shops but also very close to a zone full of homeless. We were astonished but in the whole three days we never had a single issue, not even at night.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Victorian! The rooms are very clean, bright and beautiful, the staff are super friendly, and the location is central! Only downside is the parking is a bit of a trek away with suitcases in tow, and it's damn near impossible to get out of! I'd recommend offloading your suitcases before going to park.

Great location to services and a very modern take on a classic building. Rooms are beautifully laid out with high ceilings, wooden floors and walk in robes. Very plush and comfortable bed as well. Staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring my stay was fabulous and relaxing. A nice late check-out of 11am as well!

We really enjoyed staying here. The shared bathroom situation was easy considering we had a sink in the room. The hotel has so much character and is close to all things down town Vancouver. The allowed us to drop off our bags after flying in but before check in. This aloud us to walk the city and explore with out our luggage. Highly recommend.

One of the most pleasant hotel stays my wife and I have ever had. The bathroom was absolutely spectacular. The room was very comfortable. We used the fitness center and the pool, and enjoyed both. The only negatives were the pillows, which I thought were not firm enough, and the lack of open space in the room. It seemed that there was too much furniture for the area. Both minor issues.

Over the top Super ritzy Hotel. All the brand new Gucci Etc stores in the lobby. Great restaurants. The rooms are being remodeled so they are up to date. It's clean and the location is good. But certainly it does not live up to the expectation. The building is old and it has clearly not being renovated in a long time. Rooms are not only small, but tiny. Staff at the desk is very helpful and friendly.

Room was very small, barely enough space to move around. Room did not have a safe, and front desk safes are not big enough for laptops or tablets, so beware. Elevator had issues. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were firm.

Elevator was broken all weekend so they put us on the second floor in a super small room where the heater didn't work. Second room on the same floor was much bigger and the heater worked. Clean bed.
