The location is good, but we got ripped off when we took a taxi to the hotel... The Indian driver charged me $40, but it was only $25. The front desk guy was very good and allowed me to check out later. If the hotel shuttle bus is full and they tell you to take a taxi to the hotel, please make sure to ask the hotel staff to pay! Don't pay yourself! If you pay yourself, it's no more than $25. I hope...

Bad service attitude. The shuttle bus to the airport cannot wait for the customers for even 1 minute.

We booked this as it was close the Vancouver airport- the shuttle was fully booked for our time so the hotel arranged a Taxi with any thought and a no cost to us .. service above and beyond . Good room light and clean lovely bathroom etc. Breakfast included was excellent. The only problem we realised when we got to Vancouver international we should have been at Abbotsford .. an hour &half away ..

I went to the River Rock buffet, which is always a good experience. The food isn't the best, but it's damn good for a buffet. Service is fantastic, always willing to help. There's never a moment with an empty glass. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a lot of food for a pretty good price.

Not a guest, I was only there for a 3 day work conference. The catering was varied and fantastic, suiting the wide dietary needs of our group and the staff slipped in and out of the room to set up so silently we did not even notice them. The bathrooms were well maintained and the floor staff in the main hall were quick to open doors for us. Overall great location to have the conference.

The experience here was delightful. The staff were friendly, rooms clean and was able to get a room upgrade. They had a paid shuttle to the cruise port and free shuttle from airport. Clean and spacious rooms in a really solid location. The price was very affordable and i would not hesitate to stay here again. The staff was very responsive at all hours of the day and allowed us to check in early. The 99 B-line is right outside and the Skytrain station is just a block away making it a very central place to go around Vancouver.

The view from my 15th floor room was quite nice. The room was well appointed with a fridge and coffee maker, the linens were crisp, the pillows were full but just right, and the bathroom had the requisite toiletries as I didn't have an opportunity to find travel sizes as my trip was very last minute

The parking lot is a bit awkward to navigate. The laundry situation is equally so being situated in the shower room. The machines themselves didn't function well. The front desk and housekeeping did their jobs admirably despite seeming short staffed. I would probably look elsewhere for next stay.

We had visited twice before this visit. .At that time a 5 review was appropriate . This is one of the best Holiday Inns in Canada, with a central location, fantastic staff (Anja is a superstar!), safe underground parking and a great open space pool. Fantastic value for being in the middle of Downtown Vancouver!

The twin room page says that the room width is between 1.35 and 1.5 meters. But when I got there, there was no room for 1.5 meters, only 1.35 meters. It is not comfortable to sleep with a child. Is it convenient to eat in the city center? It is still a few hundred meters away from the subway station, about ten minutes' walk.

A lot of Homeless in front of Hotel and Silen's Ambulance is so loud all night. Moreover, The road was fixed so Truck and Machine are loud.

The hotel has a clean environment and satisfactory service. There is also a small cocktail party space for chatting with friends. It is located in the center of Vancouver and is suitable for strolling and shopping.

Very good view out the window, rooms have comfortable beds and you have to pay $15 for 10 days of wifi. Also our room came with a Sony Boombox to rock out with.

U are right in the heart of Vancouver- we have walked everywhere - u can catch the sky train - the Aqua bus etc! Great place to stay!

Very small room, but comfortable beds and pillows. The baseboards in the room were dirty, and the towels had grit and hairs in them. The TV had lots of channels and streaming options which was nice to watch and relax between outings. It was close to everything we wanted. Usually an Uber to anywhere we wanted was about $13, but transit is an option too for those who prefer that

I really liked that this hotel is focused on giving back to the community, and even its key card was wooden to reduce the amount of plastic used. The hotel was very well located and provided affordable parking. We found that it was significantly cheaper than surrounding properties and offered good value. We enjoyed spending some time on the outside terrace on the 11th floor. On-site washing and drying machines were appreciated. Safe and secure, but has/had roaches. The owner/manager apologetically told us this after we checked in. We sprayed our own bug spray along the window sill and all around the door so that we would not leave with critters in our bags. It worked; we left clean. Places to eat to are all close by. The most important feature in a hotel room for me is the bed. And I wish the bed & linens were as high quality as the rest of the hotel. Both nights I stayed I ended up sleeping on the floor. The bed is squishy with no support and the pillows are little more then disguised tissue paper.

We were happy staying here in April 25. Location is good and the ambiance of the hotel was very good. The house keeping service was also super as we asked for extra amenities and got them willingly. The building is old. However, the front desk staff and cleaning staff were very kind and friendly, and our family was very comfortable to stay. The view from the 18th floor was as beautiful as a picture postcard, making it a memorable trip!

The patio was huge, the bathroom had a deep soaking tub, a relaxing rainfall shower with very good hot water and pressure and the toilet is in a separate room from the tub/shower/sink. The high tea at their restaurant was SO GOOD and worth the price. There is no ice machine/snack machine or microwave in room which was fine because the location is right by tons of restaurants...

They let us check in a couple hours earlier and gave us a much unexpected upgrade! Staff was wonderful in the lobby and in the restaurant as well, the room was nice and cozy, super clean (I’m a clean freak) and both the room and the towels didnt smell like harsh chemicals which I loved. Accommodation prices in Vancouver are eye-watering, and this is one of the cheaper options in the central city. I found the service exceptional and the highlight of my visit. The shared bathroom wasn't the issue I thought it might be - I was always able to access it when needed. The room was clean and tidy, but pretty basic and very warm. Great location. Rooms are super clean for being over 100 years old. I heard some rooms have shared bathrooms but ours had it's own. The people running the hotel were all really great. The Skwachàys Lodge is a nice place to stay in Vancouver. The room was amazing and the staff is super nice. The location is tricky: very close to Water street which is full of restaurants and shops but also very close to a zone full of homeless. We were astonished but in the whole three days we never had a single issue, not even at night.

The room that we stayed in was clean, beautiful and it smells good. It was like a gem nestled in China Town. The people are friendly and thorough and gave us a tour where we can find everything in the hotel. We enjoined the sauna and arts gallery. We really recommend it!!

We loved the cool decor in the rooms. The folks there are great! Breakfast was simple and tasty. Loved the art work! Neighborhood can be sketchy after dark because of zombie addicts, but that is a big city problem all around.

The location is excellent, very close to the Steam Clock and some important attractions in Chinatown. The room is clean, the bed is big and the quilt is big, and the bathroom is clean. The hotel is very unique and cost-effective. It is worth experiencing. The service attitude at the front desk was good and the city tour map was very considerate.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Victorian! The rooms are very clean, bright and beautiful, the staff are super friendly, and the location is central! Only downside is the parking is a bit of a trek away with suitcases in tow, and it's damn near impossible to get out of! I'd recommend offloading your suitcases before going to park.

When checking in, I asked politely if there were any rooms on higher floors, but they said there were none, only one on the fifth floor. I arrived early, but the hotel staff were very helpful. They used a translation to explain things to me, even though I'm not good at English. The room was very clean and well-cleaned. The bathtub was also clean and comfortable to use. The amenities were Diptyque, so they smelled nice. Check-out was also smooth. It can't be compared with Rosewood in China or Hong Kong, but it is already very good compared with other hotels in North America. I am willing to stay again. The location is also very good, convenient for travel, and Valet parking does not have to wait for a long time. It is comfortable overall.

We booked this hotel to stay in the city for our wedding weekend. We travel a lot and this was one of the best suites we have ever stayed in. There is a tonne of attention to detail and quite luxury everywhere ( Nespresso coffee maker, Dyson hair dryer, Smart TVs). The place was also immaculately clean. Can't wait to stay there again!

There is free bottled water in the room, as well as a coffee machine and tea bags, which is quite considerate. The hotel is in a very good location, with convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The only downside to the hotel review is that the toilet has a peculiar smell, which greatly deducted points.

Very good accommodation experience, the hotel is not big, the location is good, you can walk anywhere, very convenient, very close to the subway station to the train station, turn left and it is 30 meters away, the express line to the airport is not available, turn left and turn left again and walk for 10 minutes. Staff were so lovely and hospitable! The many personalized touches (like leaving a piece of birthday cake with a personal bday message in our room, for my husband) just made our stay that much more special.
