Maxx Hotel Aalen

You may enjoy the hotel…
IF you can find it,
IF they don't mysteriously cancel your reservation,
IF you enjoy paying extra for parking on the property,
IF you like paying about 20 USD each for breakfast, and
IF you like substandard free Wi-Fi.

To be honest, it is not all that bad. Google maps knew where the hotel was, but not the way to get there. Despite that, it was not difficult to find. Our reservation had been cancelled, to be sure, but I'm not sure that was the fault of the hotel. But since we never figured out why it had been cancelled, we can't be sure. Parking on the property, in my opinion, should be standard, but at the Maxx, it is an extra 10 euros. The breakfast, unlike other hotels in Aalen, is NOT included in the room cost. In fact it is about $20 per head extra. I am told by someone in the city that the breakfast is great and many townsfolk actually drive there just for breakfast. But it was too rich for our blood, so we ate elsewhere and I cannot vouch for it or against it. The free Wi-Fi is slow, but you can pay for higher speeds if you want,
The staff was helpful, but not exactly friendly. I've met better. MUCH better. But they were able to solve all of our problems.
The room was fine. A bit small, but new, functional, and comfortable. The "small" size may be a result of the fact they have a king-size be, which didn't leave a lot of room left over. A good place to sleep for the night.
I would not stay here again, but there are probably some folks who would actually like the place, Personally, I think there are several better places in town.
