It is a completely vegan hotel which offers a lot of fresh raw food. For breakfast there is, for example, a fresh green smoothie made from spinach, celery and wild herbs (everything from our own garden) as well as orange and apple. We felt very comfortable, our room was very clean, but there was no handle in the shower. The breakfast buffet and the raw food menu in the evening were unbeatable.

Clean simple friendly hotel, one star here is far superior to what you'd expect anywhere else. Yes, the decor's a bit dated, but perfectly good. Breakfast was good, usual fare provided. Lovely visit.

Very pleasant hotel on the edge of town with very much a "seventies" feel. Spotlessly clean although the accomodation was not the most modern but very functional. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open during our stay but breakfast was very good and generous. Very friendly and helpful reception.

The hotel is in a quiet location and is in top condition. Modern and tastefully furnished. The reception was very friendly, as was the room spacious and very clean. The hotel is in a very nice quiet location, with its own garden area to sit outside, or comfortable seating inside and the car park at the rear was a safe place for my motorcycle. This is a strange place! the hospitality is great and welcome. The elevator is creepy and some of the rooms are not as you might expect. as for the breakfast it is nice and reach and good. Because of the structure of the hotel you may get lost between the rooms.

This was my second time there on business and I can only recommend it. Service great. We had a snack plate in the evening, very nicely presented and very tasty. You put a lot of thought into this and the guest. Room top, bathroom top, bed top, only the pillow if there had been a feather pillow there would have been a hundred points, but that's complaining at a high level.

The Hotel is a very sweet, the owners are very polite and doing their absolute best so that you have the best possible stay you could have. They do have a garage for your bike if needed and they are happy to help you around. They do speak a couple of languages so you should not have any problem talking to them. I'll stay there again if I visit Clausthal Zellerfeld again.

We stayed here with 2 families for 3 days at the turn of the year and found it totally fine. Mr. Hirschmann gave the children an extra room opposite ours, so that we adults could spend time together in the evening and still keep an eye on the children. Breakfast is small but sufficient. Nice place to start my hike of the Harzer Hexen-Stieg. Good food, excellent self-brewed beer and friendly service. The only downside was the rather noisy road in front of the hotel.
