A great place on the way to Switzerland. Clean rooms, good beds. Nice breakfast. The advantage is that your car is protected behind the fence. This was our 2nd time that we stayed here and come next year certainly be back on our way to Switzerland.

Stayed here due to my campervan going down. Was on the way to my campground when suddenly it wasn’t working proper when going up a mountain and had a hard time finding a place to sleep. Everything was closed or was on holiday. Thank goodness my boyfriend did his best to find some people to help us out and found about this hotel that had a spot for us and a bit cheaper as well due to the inconveniences...

I didn't had opportunity to be in rooms, but on many occasions I was in the restaurant, it was really good experience, nice and tasty food usually traditional German food, beer was great. Limited menu but has a everything for everyone. Service really good with pleasant people in local clothing, really cute.

The place is very nice with a wonderfull view. The food is also good. Unfortunately, there is no menu in English and this makes difficulty for a foreign client. On top the waiters speak very little English..I had reserved a table and the waiter gave me the worst table with the whole restaurant empty. Not a great service.

A very welcoming and friendly place to stay, as a foreign visitor the staff were very helpful, especially Ida on reception. I didn't have a chance to try the restaurant but the breakfast was of a good standard for a hotel. I shall certainly stay there again on my return to Buhl next year.

The staff was super friendly letting us have dinner past 9 pm while it was already closed. The place is family-friendly with nice space around the hotel for the kids. The hotel is a 15-min drive from Baden Baden which also practical. Room was big and clean. Happy customer!

I've stopped there for a night for the last two years during post Christmas season. I've always liked the room at this hotel, descent size and very quiet and clean. Great Hotel for Baden-Baden, however the walk back from the town centre may be a little too steep for some.

I had a perfect stay here. The hosts are so friendly and hospitable. The rooms are large, clean, and well appointed. Parking is free. The breakfast is better than most 5* hotels I’ve stayed in, it must take them hours of prep and yet they’re still happy and smiley with every guest at 7am. There is no restaurant onsite so I ate at the restaurant opposite, there is however an honesty bar. I can’t wait...

They still exist. Those family run, top quality, with love to detail, proud of their work places. Engel in Sasbachwalden is one of those places. It is my 2nd time here. Despite being here for business, I enjoyed the local Black Forest atmosphere. Sasbachwalden and the Hotel Engel are perfectly located at the “entrance” to the amazing Black Forest. Very cozy Baden restaurant. The sensationally well-kept garden invites you to linger. Very nice and well-trained service staff. The food is excellent and of good quality. Table reservation is recommended.

We went there for lunch with 30 people (wedding). Everything worked smoothly. The food was good. Especially the meat. The Cordon-Bleu was delicious, and freshly made. The dessert was a nice selection of sorbet, cake, fruit and parfait. Only downside was the pumpkin soup, where the flavor of the standard curry powder was a little do dominant and didn't really fit the rest.

Breakfast is five-star and as satisfying as an average German family hotel👍 But if it's not the main building, you need to use a key. The doors to other auxiliary buildings also need to be opened with a key, which takes a while. And the basic room type may not have air conditioning but only a fan. Wished we could have stayed longer We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Humber’s Hotel. Our room was very clean with a good sized wardrobe/storage space. The bed was extremely comfortable, the most comfortable of our 2 week trip. Breakfast was superb, an excellent selection of good quality products. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The attached cafe/bar was also excellent.

A nice hotel in a pretty good central location, with very helpful staff. When booking in, the front desk staff spent a fair bit of time explaining what was in the local area, and even annotated a local map for us. Probably typical for the area, but the rooms were rather small. The bathroom door won't even open 90 degrees before it hits the toilet, and there is no room to move around. No A/C in the room, either, which we knew ahead of time, but it's worth mentioning. Would also recommend against using their parking, as they have very limited space and pack many cars into it, so they have to keep your keys so...

We stayed for three nights. We took the train in then hopped on bus 201. Frau Peter's told us via email where to get off. Our room was spotless and modern. Breakfat was a typical German breakfast and delicious. Both Herr and Frau were a wealth of information and so friendly. We either walked to town center via a lovely parkway or took the bus. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend.

Clean hotel, a bit outdated but fairly well located near the town center. A nice walk quickly brings you to a lovely park and eventually into a forest.
