We had a fabulous junior suite, a comfortable, good-sized room. However, there was no privacy for the bathroom area.
Wonderful hotel, just a few steps away from the old city. The sauna with the view above the rooms of Erfurt is really amazing. The only thing I have to blame is the absence of air conditioning in the rooms. We stayed during one of the warmest days this year with 36oC and the night was really difficult.
The location and the views are excellent (if you happen to have a room on the right side). The staff was friendly and allowed us later checking out without any problems. Breakfast was quite ok, nothing to complain about. Room arrangement was little weird with the walk through bathroom but one can live with it. Overall a good experience, and not terribly expensive during the week day. I would stay here...
Great staff, clean building, and you cannot beat the location. We had an error with an online booking site and the hotel worked hard to help us fix it. I complemented the head desk clerk, and he told me that no thanks is needed it is hai job.
Wonderful hotel in a great building. The view from the top suites is amazing, the foyer is big and open, staff was nice and friendly, breakfast buffet had everything you could wish for.
Currently under construction, nod the most modern hotel. Staff is very friendly. But for a four star hotel I would have expected at least a bottle of water in the room.

Rooms are a bit outdated but very clean and comfy. Breakfast is very reasonable with good variety of foods. People working at hotel are awesome and always happy to help - I can surely say that they are the best part of the hotel!

Located right next to cathedral and old fortress it makes an excellent starting point for exploring Erfurt.
Rooms were well equipped and clean, both fridge and safe are included. Beds were nice to sleep in, bathroom is quite large, tho shower would be better than bathtub.
WiFi was one of the better ones I saw in hotels.
I like the sunshine and space in the building, everything is perfect except the check-out day.
I put the card: please do not disturb outside the door. but the service opened my door without permission, she just wanted to ask me what is my check-out time? What???????It was only 10:30am and made me scared and awkward.
Very nice hotel with beautiful rooms and friendly staff. A fitness area is available as well. Good walking distance to the city center.

While we were there the hotel was under construction. It was also extremely hot. There is no air conditioning in the hotel. We were damned if we did and damned if we didn't. Noise or die from the heat....we went with the heat.
Lacking air in the current heat and with windows that do not fully open, it was a bit warm. Otherwise, this was perfect.
Rooms and basic but very clean and have a free stocked mini bar.
Gave 4 instead of 5 stars as the parking is terrible, very small and usually full so you have to use public parking.
Didn't go to the restauant for breskfast. À la carte not available when I enquired.
Location good.Close to Erfurt Hauptbahnhof
,near Fisch Markt and Krambruck ( Merchant Bridge).
The location near the famous Krämerbrücke and not far from the railway station. Very generous and excellent breakfast buffet. Make sure you book a room facing the courtyard because it is quieter.
From check in to check out all the staff were very helpful. The rooms were quiet and well maintained

Pleasant hotel. Very central location next door to the main rail station. Modern and quiet. Friendly staff. Stay includes transport pass for trams and buses. Good value.
Amazing location, few steps away from the train station, which was perfect after a late flight and train. Tram and bus station is also just meters away. Lots of cafes, restaurants nearby.
Bed was very comfortable. The room was compact, with a very good use of space and functionality for the size.

Just a few metres from the central train station. It's simple and comfortable, breakfast is good, staff is polite. I didn't manage to make WiFi work on my phone which was inconvenient and didn't get much help on that but that's it. I have no complaints other than internet. I recommend it if you're visiting Erfurt on a budget.

Ecellent location and nicely prrsented room but we found it a little hot. Aircon only just coped and bedding too wzrm for the climate. Food good.
The people who work here are so friendly and so helpful. Best service ever. Thank you! The rooms are nice and it is great that breakfeast is included. Everything was clean, and the beds are best if you prefer firm beds. The hotel is also nicely situated in Erfurt Alte Stadt.

Das beste am Hotel ist definitiv die hervorragende Lage. Ich hatte leider ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, direkt vor dem Fenster war der Raucherplatz der Mitarbeiter und die Ladezone für Lebensmittel, Wäsche etc. Für einen ruhigen Aufenthalt eine mittlere Katastrophe. Da ich beruflich da war und den ganzen Tag unterwegs war es aber ok. Ansonsten hätte ich das Zimmer wechseln müssen.

Great service. Most staff speaks English and everything is very aesthetically pleasing. Beds are comfortable and rooms are nice, modern, and clean.
Hotel and rooms are OK. But still a bad smell of smoking in the living room side (non smoking room) and very limited room service (no automatic cleaning, no replacement of empty water bottles). Need to be improved.
Quite okay for a night but for a longer stay I would look for something else. Staff friendly, everything was clean - to complain about so here's nothing. Only in the building, not so good sound isolation. In addition, very small room and shower.
Despite near train station quiet rooms, pleasant Breakfast to get to the buffet, friendly staff. Again.

Booked one night at short notice and got a very nice attic room. Very tasteful and functionally thought out. Completely different bar with regional drinks. Excellent hotel experience. The staff were all fantastic. The room was much bigger than other rooms in more expensive hotels so was great value and good quality. The restaurant served excellent food and I had the best Pretzel I have ever tasted. Such a shame I was only there for one night!

Das Carat Hotel Sauber, gepflegt und relativ gut unterhalten. Die Zimmer sind recht grosszügig. Leider mit Teppichboden, aber da habe ich meine ganz persönliche Baustelle. Die Betten die komfortabel, das Bad was sauber, modern, funktionell. An den Fliesen, beziehungsweise an den Fugen hat man ein wenig die Jahre gesehen.

Can't understand some of the reviews. The room like also the bathroom were clean. The staff was super nice. And the Service teichnet. Here is criticised at a high level. Would like to know how some of the people at home having Breakfast. We always travel with 4 people. 2 of the rooms had never been next to each other. Would book this Hotel again and again!
Normal Business Hotel. The rooms are well furnished and clean. The Breakfast buffet contained no Surprises, but it was sufficient. The cheese plate we saw that it had been a couple of hours on the hump.
The staff is top! All nice and polite.
The house itself is rather mixed:
On the room and the hallway miefige air. Plenty of ventilation is a must!
The room was not cleaned properly, the interior has seen way better times.
The bed is pleasantly comfortable albeit a little soft.
The sauna cabin is sufficient, sanitary facilities are easily filthy.
