I was in the room with city view. The rooms are very small and little claustrophobic. The city view is excellent. The breakfast was good. The reception staff were excellent. The hotel is very good if you are planning to stay for 2 or 3 days in Erfurt

The staff were all exceptionally friendly from reception, to breakfast, and even the cleaning staff. And the facilities were modern, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Would stay there again.

We had a fabulous junior suite, a comfortable, good-sized room. However, there was no privacy for the bathroom area.

Wonderful hotel, just a few steps away from the old city. The sauna with the view above the rooms of Erfurt is really amazing. The only thing I have to blame is the absence of air conditioning in the rooms. We stayed during one of the warmest days this year with 36oC and the night was really difficult.

The location and the views are excellent (if you happen to have a room on the right side). The staff was friendly and allowed us later checking out without any problems. Breakfast was quite ok, nothing to complain about. Room arrangement was little weird with the walk through bathroom but one can live with it. Overall a good experience, and not terribly expensive during the week day. I would stay here...

Great staff, clean building, and you cannot beat the location. We had an error with an online booking site and the hotel worked hard to help us fix it. I complemented the head desk clerk, and he told me that no thanks is needed it is hai job.

Mercure is as reliable as always. It is located in the center of the old town, very convenient to the Old Bridge, the Cathedral and the Town Hall. Parking is also convenient. The service at the front desk is particularly warm and professional, great.

While we were there the hotel was under construction. It was also extremely hot. There is no air conditioning in the hotel. We were damned if we did and damned if we didn't. Noise or die from the heat....we went with the heat.

Lacking air in the current heat and with windows that do not fully open, it was a bit warm. Otherwise, this was perfect.

Rooms and basic but very clean and have a free stocked mini bar. Gave 4 instead of 5 stars as the parking is terrible, very small and usually full so you have to use public parking.

Didn't go to the restauant for breskfast. À la carte not available when I enquired. Location good.Close to Erfurt Hauptbahnhof ,near Fisch Markt and Krambruck ( Merchant Bridge).

The hotel is dirty and smells extremely. The policy is not flexible and only for the appearance. The interior is ugly and dirty. No drinking water, no other services, dirty and smelly towels. We stayed Mid-October, 2024. It was clean, close to the train/bus station, and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but fit our needs. Parking available behind the hotel. We would recommend this hotel.

A short trip to meet friends or family is highly recommended. The hotel is next to the Hbf. The room is neat and clean with sustainable Smart Control. It is super quiet even though it’s near the Hbf. Every payment in the hotel are with cards or app pay transactions. The bar at the lobby is 24 hours which is very nice for visitors to have some chats and beers.

Dog rooms are full of dog fur, of all kind of dogs. For me traveling with a not hairy dog it was really disgusting. Service tried to chance my room but every available room was dirty. Asked them to vacuum, what they did. Had to pay for the dog either and didn’t even get any other accommodation. Got a room on the ground floor with windows on the same level like the park ground. Super nice hotel, is centrally located in the old town of Erfurt. It is just a 6-minute walk to the cathedral. The hotel staff are very helpful and accommodating. We would love to come back next year. Keep it up.

the hotel is quite nice, with good connectivity to the Erfurt railway station (HBF), and a tram stop nearby. I actually walked to the hotel from railway station. the rooms are good and comfortable.

Nice a bit outside Erfurt. I've stayed here many times on business trips; can't complain! They even have a charger for EV cars, which is nice (costs I think €20 per charge, but was nice to have to charge my car overnight).

The hotel appeared to be fully booked. There weren't enough parking spaces, nor were there enough places for breakfast. This resulted in unnecessary waiting times. However, the staff were consistently friendly and tried to resolve the situation.

The hotel is located in an exhibition area in Erfurt, next to a large supermarket and a small Vietnamese restaurant. There is an S-Bahn station in front of the hotel. Parking spaces are available at the hotel for a fee. The hotel front desk staff were very welcoming and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes, but several of the service staff in the restaurant did not seem particularly friendly...

Ecellent location and nicely prrsented room but we found it a little hot. Aircon only just coped and bedding too wzrm for the climate. Food good.

The people who work here are so friendly and so helpful. Best service ever. Thank you! The rooms are nice and it is great that breakfeast is included. Everything was clean, and the beds are best if you prefer firm beds. The hotel is also nicely situated in Erfurt Alte Stadt.

We had a wonderful stay in the city of Erfurt. The service and accommodation at the Best Westin Excelsior were very good. The buffet breakfast is tasty and varied enough to ensure most tastes are catered for. Friendly and helpful staff. Herr Le was our favorite.

It is very beautiful Christmas in the night days that we spent in the Hotel and in Erfurt. At the evening Dinner there were actually six dishes to choose from - there was something for everyone. The Breakfast buffet selection, coffee was in the thermos, and the vending machine rich offered available, even a daily newspaper was available. We will be back!

There was no one at the reception upon arrival. The staff stood smoking in front of the building for an extended period. The Hotel has good transport links. For cars, Parking spaces are enough available, which are located behind the Hotel. It is these Parking directly input to visit because the main Parking is scarce. Some of the staff wasn't very friendly and I found it disappointing that there are no tea kettles in the rooms as they pretty customary in hotels in Germany. If you are dependant on public transport I would recommend finding a hotel closer to the city center as it is quite inconvenient to get to the hotel, especially on weekends, as the buses are pretty rare here. The hotel is about 1 km from the central station. We were allowed to check in just after 2pm but could leave our bags in the luggage room. Room of older standard and they had limited so you could only have the lowest level on the AC. We were given a room right off the stairs, the door slammed loudly all night, I don't understand why they don't install silent closing doors like they had on reception...

Cleanliness was fine, except for the spider that was in the room as shown in the photo. The location was right next to the main train station. The facilities were fine, there were two free bottles of water, a small fridge, a TV but unfortunately no Netflix or sharing for the cell phone.
