This was a beautiful, clean and comfortable inn in Bavaria. The views from the balcony are amazing. The breakfast buffet was delicious. One of the nicest places we have stayed in our travels.It was a good base location for exploring the area.

Nice typical german hotel next to the famous monastery, clean room with good sturdy beds. A little too pricey for the value but sufficient. We had a good stay here

Great location overlooking Ettal. Nicely furnished rooms, a solid breakfast offering, and a nice outdoor area. The restaurant was closed for a renovation, so did not get an opportunity to experience it.

Ettal is one of the most picturesque little towns you will find in the alps of Germany. The room was lovely, I got the room with the view of the Abbey, which I would suggest over the view of the hill where the sheep are, just because the hill is really steep and I don't think you really get all that great of a view. We stayed for one night last year in May and had a wonderful experience at the Posthotel Ettal. It is a beautifully appointed small hotel with excellent service and a great breakfast. I would recommend it highly and would stay there again and again.

Wonderful stay with friendly and helpful staff, quiet location with mountain view right across the street. Sauna available from 3-8pm is a treat after a day in the outdoors. A hot Gluhwein on tap in the afternoons and the fireplace rounds off a luxurious stay. Breakfast from 8-10am is diverse and high quality. Rooms and bathrooms are immaculately clean.

It is a quiet, simple inexpensive hotel, offering the exact same selection for its decent free breakfast of breads, cold cut meats, sliced cheeses, boiled eggs, yogurt and Muesli, with juice and coffee. It was a very nice hotel. Nice air conditioning and I like the classic Bavarian style. There was a thai man visiting during my stay and when I went to check out, suddenly he had his guards arrest me! Apparently this was the king of Thailand and I called him discount Obama online and apparently that’s bad. Now I’m serving 45 years in prison lol.

Been there once, great food. Met a famous Thai guy there. He's super nice. Celebrity maybe. His sense of fashion is kinda weird. Probably got them form Baby Gap. His guard won't allow me to look at him tho. He was there with his wives.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent with a wide choice of cereals, rolls, cheeses, meats and other things. Our superior room was enormouse, comfortable and had a balcony with table and 2 chairs and side views of the mountains. Everything is spotlessly clean. Attractive garden to relax in. Ten minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

This hotel is pretty neat, clean, friendly customer service and seems to be a family owned and operated. The rooms that we got was at the highest floor (3rd floor) with nice different views on each room. They give free breakfast in the mornings and it's quite good too. Fantastic location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a short walk into Garmisch each evening for dinner and/or drinks and as we drove it was centrally located to sites we wanted to see. The swimming pool was also welcomed with temperatures in the 30 Celsius range during our stay. Would definitely return.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Driving in we were greater by Barbara who asked us to meet her in the restaurant. We checked in there and made our dinner reservations. They always greeted me by my first name, offered safe and homely atmosphere in the most traditional and cozy Bavarian guesthouse. The hotel is very nice and convenient

Everything was great. A small point to note is that there is no air conditioning for the room during winter season, hence you’ll have to leave the windows open as it gets a little stuffy overtime.

This hotel has great amenities for family vacation, the restaurant and bar atmosphere are great, but the small rooms are the problem, nobody likes tinny rooms, no AC just heating, no safe, no place for the bags, no amenities kit for the bathroom. Another problem is the front desk team, many of them barely speak English and sometimes have to work as receptionist and sales person for the Nivea store...

The hotel is well located, and many excursions can be started from there. The hotel is a bit older. This is evident from the stains on the carpet and upholstery. There is a large TV, but it is not usable at all due to poor reception. Overall, it is a well-kept older hotel, good as a base, but not really for a staycation.

The location is a little far from the station, but it is within walking distance. The facilities are a little old, but the environment and sanitation are still OK. You can see the mountain when you open the window. The breakfast is also quite good, but there were many people staying on the day I went, and you had to queue up to get coffee. The overall cost performance is still very high, worth recommending

It was one of the warmest day in summer when we stayed there, when the windows were widely opened, the room temperature decreased by the gentle mountain wind. The night was quiet with open windows. The decor in the room is with a Bavarian dining table, the size of room is enough for a couple and a dog. The staff were friendly.

We had an superior experience. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff were awesome. The bed was comfortable and shower had excellent water pressure. Definitely recommend staying there. The daily breakfast was outstanding
