Super nice, hospitable family who run the hotel with a lot of passion. They always have a good tip for trips and an open ear for questions. The breakfast is very good and the rooms and the hotel are very clean. The hotel is in a great location with a view of the mountains.

I was a little apprehensive staying outside of Garmisch and having to use public transportation but the Richard Strauss Festival was happening in Garmisch and this hotel was the only one I could find under €150 per night. First off, they gave me a guest pass that allows me to take the bus to, from, and around Garmisch, Partenkirchen, and Farchant for free, secondly, the hotel staff has been amazing...

We only spent one night here but it was very nice. Location is great (the main street may be a little loud during the day though) the room was small but pretty, the house old but well kept. We had a hard time to find a parking spot but that is to be expected in a tourist location like this one.

It was a very nice hotel. Nice air conditioning and I like the classic Bavarian style. There was a thai man visiting during my stay and when I went to check out, suddenly he had his guards arrest me! Apparently this was the king of Thailand and I called him discount Obama online and apparently that’s bad. Now I’m serving 45 years in prison lol.

Been there once, great food. Met a famous Thai guy there. He's super nice. Celebrity maybe. His sense of fashion is kinda weird. Probably got them form Baby Gap. His guard won't allow me to look at him tho. He was there with his wives.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is behind a hill from the busy highway and thus quiet. The staff was also very good. However there were a number of maintenance items, especially in the shower. And you had to slam the door to get it to latch when leaving. Felt like they went cheap when they built it.

Romantic bavarian restaurant with a nice beer garden. We had delicious typical bavarian food and a fresh fitness salad after our hiking tour. Food and drink offer was so varied that we will come back to taste the rest! Service was friendly. Prices were fair.

Nice, cozy room. Modern amenities. Decent wifi, it did cut out occasionally, but you don't come to Bavaria to surf the web, so it was no big deal. Staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel comfortable in Parteskirchen. They gave great recommendations for things to visit and do. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent with a wide choice of cereals, rolls, cheeses, meats and other things. Our superior room was enormouse, comfortable and had a balcony with table and 2 chairs and side views of the mountains. Everything is spotlessly clean. Attractive garden to relax in. This hotel is pretty neat, clean, friendly customer service and seems to be a family owned and operated. The rooms that we got was at the highest floor (3rd floor) with nice different views on each room. They give free breakfast in the mornings and it's quite good too. The hotel is well situated next to the river, within walking distance from the center and with good access to walks and runs in the nearby mountains. This hotel is great. The rooms are not state of the art, but that’s how it goes for a place that dates back to 1542. The history and views are spectacular. My only issue was that there was no A/C or fan in the room and it was pretty hot at times but that was in August. Would def return.

Located in the heart of the historic center, it is characterized by very large, well-kept and clean rooms. Abundant breakfast included in the room price. Possibility of parking in the nearby underground city parking lot at a cost of 5 euros per day.

The Location is perfect for Garmish, the Hotel style is supposed to be antique, and it is. Their Bathrooms are modern tho. I'd be careful booking in the summer, since it gets a little hot with no A/C, also some noise from the main street during the night if the windows are open

The hotel is well located, and many excursions can be started from there. The hotel is a bit older. This is evident from the stains on the carpet and upholstery. There is a large TV, but it is not usable at all due to poor reception. Overall, it is a well-kept older hotel, good as a base, but not really for a staycation.

The location is a little far from the station, but it is within walking distance. The facilities are a little old, but the environment and sanitation are still OK. You can see the mountain when you open the window. The breakfast is also quite good, but there were many people staying on the day I went, and you had to queue up to get coffee. The overall cost performance is still very high, worth recommending

It was one of the warmest day in summer when we stayed there, when the windows were widely opened, the room temperature decreased by the gentle mountain wind. The night was quiet with open windows. The decor in the room is with a Bavarian dining table, the size of room is enough for a couple and a dog. The staff were friendly.

Beautiful environment and complete facilities

The hotel is well staffed by professionals who make your stay comfortable. There is on site parking (at cost) and many food and leisure options are available nearby so you don’t need to drive elsewhere.

Very nice and elegant villa (Prince has a good taste :)). Some of the furniture in the room is quite old and out of style (I am guessing 60's or 70's), but that was minor compared to all the other comforts. For breakfast - quality food and it was tasty.

The place is well located in the small village of Ettal and they have a parking lot too. We had a sunny balcony with nice views. Moreover you can leave your bikes in the garage of the owner. Great location! Hotel was clean with spacious rooms. Breakfast was great- we really enjoyed the jams offered. Would recommend and visit again.

Amazing view over the monestary, friendly personnel and a very decent room even though we could hear the upstairs guest a bit through a creeping ceiling. Breakfast was also good. Would definitely recommend a stay.

We stayed for one night last year in May and had a wonderful experience at the Posthotel Ettal. It is a beautifully appointed small hotel with excellent service and a great breakfast. I would recommend it highly and would stay there again and again.
