Super nice, hospitable family who run the hotel with a lot of passion. They always have a good tip for trips and an open ear for questions. The breakfast is very good and the rooms and the hotel are very clean. The hotel is in a great location with a view of the mountains.

I was a little apprehensive staying outside of Garmisch and having to use public transportation but the Richard Strauss Festival was happening in Garmisch and this hotel was the only one I could find under €150 per night. First off, they gave me a guest pass that allows me to take the bus to, from, and around Garmisch, Partenkirchen, and Farchant for free, secondly, the hotel staff has been amazing...

Clean rooms with good beds, very good breakfast. Good base for walks e.d. with free travel by bus in the region of Garmisch-Partenkirchen Good and nice stay.

Very nice, friendly host and hostess. We were greeted with butter pretzels and schnitzel. Both were very good. Rooms were nice, one with a balcony. My only complaint is there is some construction next to the hotel, and it be nice for the hotel to inform guests before they arrive.

A very great place for you to take a rest before/after next stop. Breakfast is wonderful which changed my impression of Germany foods. Will be my 1st choice if next time visit South Germany.

Very nice hotel with apartments with full kitchen, dining area and living room. Owner and staff are very friendly. Also has regular hotel type rooms. Short ride to Garmish. Quaint little town.

Verry help full with everything and check in offered us coffee and cake as soon as we go there if was free with the room. Breckfast is free too so fare well worth the price and great staff would stay here again no problem. Would recommend to others to try out

Good location, basic rooms but clean and with essentials. No elevator so you have to carry any heavy bags up 2 floors potentially. Food and drinks in the restaurant is excellent. Beautiful simple food with excellent attention to detail. Breakfast also great. The breads are real. Double thumbs up.

Very comfortable room except sofa bed that is not good enough for night sleep. 3rd floor room has very nice view for the mountains. We only spent one night here but it was very nice. Location is great (the main street may be a little loud during the day though) the room was small but pretty, the house old but well kept. We had a hard time to find a parking spot but that is to be expected in a tourist location like this one.

The location is good, 5 min from Station. The room was spacious and mattress comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small and old looking, not inviting to take a shower. There wasn't a kettle to make tea or coffee which is standard in most places. The best thing about this hotel is that it is behind a hill from the busy highway and thus quiet. The staff was also very good. However there were a number of maintenance items, especially in the shower. And you had to slam the door to get it to latch when leaving. Felt like they went cheap when they built it.

Clean rooms, quiet surroundings, decent food and great drinks, very helpful & friendly staff. As it's still 3 star Hotell, don't expect to see a big variety menu.

Amazing view over the monestary, friendly personnel and a very decent room even though we could hear the upstairs guest a bit through a creeping ceiling. Breakfast was also good. Would definitely recommend a stay.

We stayed for one night last year in May and had a wonderful experience at the Posthotel Ettal. It is a beautifully appointed small hotel with excellent service and a great breakfast. I would recommend it highly and would stay there again and again.

Very fine accommodations and location perfect for traveling through the region. Be very specific with room requests, though. We had 2 young men in a lovely "honeymoon" suite and a King bed. Thank goodness they were brothers and didn't worry about it. That was not what I requested, though. Other than that, all was wonderful.

Wonderful hotel in the Alpine foothills. The monastery next door is super cool, but have very limited hours for their brewery. Try to find them out before hand. The restaurant attached to the hotel is affordable and very tasty. The reception was very friendly.

We ate at the restaurant twice. We could reserve a table on short notice. The kitchen opens at 4 pm. The food was very tatsy and the prices are according to the quality. The Zwiebelrostbraten was very good, but unfortunately the beef was from Canada.

Awesome staff, FANTASTIC restaurant, great views, and a nice cozy overall feel. I loved staying here. I have to dock it 1 star for lack of air conditioning. I'm sorry. I'm American, and in the middle of summer I expect any hotel to have A/C!
