The hotel is centrally located, which makes it great for getting around. Overall stay was okay, but the place feels outdated and parts could use renovation. Breakfast was average at best, and the broken coffee machine didn’t help. Decent for a short stay, but not memorable.

We have been customers for 3 days in Alte Post Hotel.
I left my heart there.
There are no words to describe what a wonderful place is ! All stuff is kind, try to help in everything. I want to return as soon as we can !

Perfect location to enjoy this amazing Bavarian village. Rooms were very modern and better than in the picture. Free parking at the hotel and lovely staff. We would definitelly stay there again

Stayed here for a night, we had a really nice room with a view to the mountains, would stay here again, breakfast was great also!

Great location if you want to experience a quaint Bavarian Village. The room was comfortable with windows that open to let in the cool mountain air. Breakfast options were wonderful. The hotel is located in a walkable village with lots of route options.

Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Restaurant was warm and cosy, and the food was delicious. Our waitress Carina was superb! Her assistant Mandy was also terrific. Both were friendly, attentive and funny. Best dining experience.

The food of the restaurant y so good and the waiter Valentin is the best waiter I have ever had, friendly and attentive, he knows English and deserves a raise!! Good price and beautiful place.

Charming traditional Bavarian hotel, the oldest in Oberammergau. The front desk people were friendly and helpful, especially Tom. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was very good, with lots of variety and plenty to eat. The breakfast waitress was welcoming and friendly and it enhanced the experience. At dinner, the hotel restaurant food was ok but not great. We were told the older, original section was full and we weren’t allowed to sit there, but we could see empty tables. The atmosphere was a bit stiff and unfriendly.

Overall a great experience and I’d recommend the hotel.

Hotel with parking in a very good location. Good breakfast. We were with three and were offered a mezzanine room first, very spacious inside, but very bare, old and lifeless interior. Balcony very small overlooking the parking. We had originally booked another room, and could switch without problem. Staff was helpful. That room was modernized although a bit small for the beds put in, everything functional and clean. Good stay for a night!

Fabulous hotel.
Most staff were very helpful but sometimes we were ignored in the restaurants or left to wait for long periods by 1 particular member of the team.
Room was spacious and very comfortable
Food was excellent and varied.
Breakfast was good.
Secure parking.
Perfect location and will return in the future.
