My husband and I went on a backpacking trip across Europe. We found this hotel and we're completely impressed. We were so tired and this place was exactly what we needed. The service was impeccable. The breakfast and coffee were what we needed to continue our travels. And the beds are extremely comfortable. Highly recommend.

Cozy hotel in a nice location. The room was small but functional and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. Recommended!

Confusion for both check in and check out. No hot meats for breakfast and the biggest concern was no elevator and carrying 2 weeks of luggage up 4 flights of stairs. Bathroom very small but clean room decorated ver nice and the balcony was the most outstanding feature of the room.

Comfortable, quiet and clean rooms. Pleasant staff. Nice breakfast. The location was perfect for us to explore Freiburg. Parking simple and close.

One of those rare hotel experiences where nothing goes wrong. The owners were so herzlich & lovely, the rooms impeccably clean & light & air-conditioned (our penthouse was especially charming, despite the walk up the stairs!), the garden cute, the breakfast perfect (pre-cut kiwis and peaches the kind of personal touch that you don't get everywhere). Devil's in the details, and Barbara gets them right.

A very nice historic hotel close to the main train station and the old city center. The breakfast was excellent.

I really enjoyed this little hotel and the area it was in. The staff were very kind and the room was clean and big enough. There was also AC which was important to me for my mom. I felt safe in the area and the street quieted down by 10:30. There are two restaurants on the street, but they were quiet by 10:30-11. The other guests were quiet and I couldn’t hear too much in the hotel. One very important detail is there is no lift. We were on the 4th floor, so had to climb quite a few stairs each time. If you have mobility issues remember to request a lower floor and remember if you live in the US their first floor is really like our second. Other than that the hotel is lovely and the decor felt very authentic and homey. It’s a good value I feel and I enjoyed the area. We ate at the Antica restaurant across the street on the corner two nights in a row. There was not a coffee machine in the room, but the one downstairs is really nice. I have zero complaints and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Lovely hotel in the centre of Freiburg. Room was a bit small, but cosy and thankfully equipped with air-conditioning!
Breakfast was the best we ever had, everything wonderful, tasty and well taken care of. Ladies serving breakfast really kind.

This is a terrific hotel with a fantastic breakfast. Steps from the main train station, a few blocks from the Altstadt (historical church and tons of shopping), and about a mile from The Black Forest. Friendly staff....great rooms.

One of the loveliest and charming hotel I have ever been. The crue is so nice and welcoming and junior suite where we stay was very comfort. Best value for money in Freiburg!!!
