Where to stay in Gelsenkirchen

I liked the room decoration, fueniture and amenities. That it is not noisy and it is very clean. Also liked the restaurant. Didn’t love that we had to book in advance for a table at the restaurant and we didn’t know this.

This hotel is really clean. I was treated to room service everyday. The spa was beautiful well kept and lots of relaxing seating. They had tea on the go whenever you want. The hotel location suited me because i was visiting my family, but the area is very isolated not much going on. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I did not have breakfast because i thought it should've been included!

This hotel is situated on a favorable location for people who want to have access to public transport (central train and buss station Gelsenkirchen), stopping mails and the Gelsenkirchen city centre. It has simple but sufficient facilities and rooms. And the price to be payed for the room is okay. Because it is situated in the city centre there is always some noise of course.

Last minute reservation as we had issues with our bathroom at home. I needed a place to use the toilet, shower and sleep. The front desk and Bar staff are friendly and quick. Not a high price hotel, but offers the main you necessities you need, ranging from morning free breakfast to nice packing and quiet locations. Thing to improve though is their clean of rooms though. But the staffs are super nice and understandable.

Very good Hotel for Events at Veltins Arena. Equipment is adequate and clean. The price is great for the location. Good eating options in the vicinity.

Very clean place, friendly service, breakfast with a wide selection, included in the price, and parking right next to the hotel. There are charging stations for electric cars in the city center and nearby. There are also restaurants nearby, I highly recommend this hotel

Its in the centre of Buer. Fantastic tram connections to get to the Arena, the Zoo and other location’s. The room is basic but clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

My mother and me booked for this hotel lately, and we loved it! The hotel has the right balance between moderately fancy interior designs of rooms and floors, and practicality. The Staff are friendly, polite and helpful when needed. Simply put: Highly recommended for anyone visiting families or friends in Gelsenkirschen. Great location with plenty of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. Always a good welcome at the Buerer Hof, comfortable rooms and a good choice at the breakfast buffet. Not 5 stars because there's no air-conditioning - opening windows helps but light sleepers might be disturbed by the night noises in the town.

I liked this hotel I liked this hotel, but you should not have too high expectations. It is a fairly stnadard hotel, not fancy in any way. The essentials were there, wifi worked ok, I had a large room, free parking just outside the door. No restaurant though but there were plenty nearby. Didn´t use the breakfast so cannot comment. Location was a short 10 minute walk via a lengthy pedestrian walk thru. Lots of restaurants and shops along the way. Transportation is right outside of hotel. Staff is friendly, especially housekeeping.

This is a good budget hotel. Try to get a room in the main building. Rooms in the annexes are smaller and need updating. Our rooms were a good size. Clean but maybe a little tired looking. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Very close to public transport for easy access to city centre and beyond by train or road.

Nice hotel This is a nice hotel at reasonable prices, situated in the citycentre. Certainly not a luxury hotel but good value for money. Very nice and attentative in the reception. I got a fairly big room with a balcony . also nice. I didn´t use the breakfast so cannot comment on that. Internet was stable and fairly fast. I can recommend this hotel to those not expecting a luxury stay.

Essen business stay Room was quiet. Shower good and hot. Hotel manager was great. Not far from Central Train Station. Only issue is there are no bars close and not many restaurants within a 10 minute walk but if you walked 10-15 minutes there were a fair few options

Located from 5-10 mins. walk from Essen Hbf. Very quiet and staff is helpful. Free one glass of beer or coke is available at the time of check-in. If you want to go shopping, go walk for 10 mins. and then you'll reach Limbecker Platz. There's REWE (supermarket) and you can grab some German sweets for gifts. :)

Super cosy Hotel. All are very nice and always around the guest anxious. The rooms are clean and cozy. The Breakfast is rich and tasty, especially the homemade jams.

Very well-run family business in a quiet location in GE-Buer. Very courteous staff, sumptuous buffet Breakfast, only drawback, a bit too small bathroom, but the great stay we had, no crash! All in all a very nice Hotel at a nice price. We are looking forward to come Back!

Nice hotel, family hotel actually, right in the center of Essen. Close to Colosseum Theater, shopping and so on. Only the parking ia missing, if would have one it will be perfect.

This hotel was a unique experience as it caters to special olympians' needs. It was however a good experience for a business visitor such as myself. The staff is professional and friendly, the area is quiet and peaceful, the rooms are clean. Recommended.

This was my third stay. I like the spacious room, comfortable bed, and relaxing space. The bread at breakfast was also delicious, but there were two disappointing points. The coffee was not very tasty, and the hot breakfast selection seemed to have been downgraded. I found both to be a bit disappointing.

Super quite rooms and with curtains shut the difference between day and night is unnoticed. A little disappointment on the cleanliness. Some personal juices from previous guest were missed by the cleaning staff. Told this at the checkout but no response.

Great place to stay in Bottrop, just not very central. The room was minimalist yet cozy, breakfast was diverse and very tasty, and they also had a great looking restaurant, but I didn't have the chance to taste their food. Finally the hood around the hotel was very picturesque. All in all, even if you don't travel with a car, with a bus you'll only need some 20 minutes to be there.

I have stayed at the Ramada several times over the years due to this hotel being the only centrally located in town . It has deteriorated quite a bit. Elevator to the 3rd floor ends in an untidy, dirty broom and supplies closet. (All 3 nights we were there.) The bar is no longer in operation. The overall feeling is good, free parking, it feels like it is in an industrial area, so it may be inconvenient to take public transportation if you don't drive, the front desk service is warm and thoughtful, the room size is OK, the overall feeling is good!
