The hotel is easy to reach from the station that is close by. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. Parking is free for all guests and you can access the hotel late at night easily. The entry code you get is very helpful and you don't have to carry a key card around with you. Overall a very nice hotel to stay at.

Hotel was easy to find and was cheap. Free car parking was also a bonus: Checking in was easy and the gentleman on reception was cheery and welcoming - explaining about the hotel and the room access via PIN number. Everything in the room was clean and appeared new. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot and of a good pressure. For a one night stop over it was ideal - close to the motorway. ...

Nice and modern hotel in the city center of Gelsenkirchen.

Booked with movie park Holidays. Was expecting something slightly better but the stay was fine, we arrived at around 1h in the morning. The room was okay but nothing special and the breakfast was fine .. near the train station, I would have put 3,5 stars if I could.

I really rate this three Star hotel. In Germany you either get terrible at this price or good. This is excellent. We stayed in a large rear facing room, so it was quiet. Breakfast is okay, so long as it's included in the price. Staff very friendly. There is free bottled water in the basement. Nice box of Lindt chocolates left in the room. They gave us a free beer on the first night and a chocolate...

The host was exceptional. We really appreciated the ability to use the breakfast tables for playing board games at night.

A very clean well-kept hotel. On the plus side, delicious breakfasts are included in the price. From 7 am you can feel fresh rolls throughout the hotel. Competent receptionists willing to help. Unfortunately, the rooms are very small. But we only slept there. So enough. Unfortunately, no fridge in the room, but still 5 stars should be. Free parking, unfortunately small, but in case of need 5 parking...

Very nice and cosy little hotel. The shower in my room was very small though, with such a narrow door that I had to walk sideways into the shower.

Great place to stay if you mainly want to visit the city. The rooms are very small but super cosy and clean with modern furniture. The breakfast was great, too. The only limitation could be the amount of parking spaces but we always managed to find one. 24/7 reception is also a plus.

Great value for a good hotel. It is located close to the city center and provided us with nice and quiet rooms and a really good but also very low priced breakfast. Only downside were the rather small bathrooms (was in fact no problem to us)

The hotel is generally not bad. However ... We were in it one night with my friend (not a partner) and ordered a room for two, in the picture it looked like two beds connected together, however, we got a room with one bed to 160 cm. On this, our night was very not comfortable. (The staff said that all the rooms are busy and that in general they have such small beds everywhere that of course madness...

Very good hotel, but it’s a pity that the service is so bad

Let me start saying that this is a 4 star superior hotel, which in my opinion is close to a 5 star than a 4. The Atlantic Congress can be reached by metro (Messe Ost / Gruga exit), or about 30 minutes by taxi from the Duesseldorf airport. It is also located in front of the Essen fair (the pavilions can therefore be reached by foot in a few minutes) The structure is beautiful and full of design elements...

We rarely lived so easily accessible So only 1 star so it wasn't always busy ;-) There was even a breakfast buffet despite Corona The door to the room is unfortunately not optimal to open/close Let's see how it will be next time

Nice modern and clean hotel. Was surprising because the surrounding doesn't look so good. There is no check in lobby, you just ring the bell and the staff give you the code to the locker with the keys to the room. The rooms are small, but comfy. Very comfortable rooms at an attractive rate! Its a new business hotel and has everything you need. I truly enjoyed the breakfast, the underground parking and the fitness room. The breakfast is a bit too expensive imho. But since you are right across a big mall (with a supermarket) which is open from 7am to 10pm, it can easily be mitigated. The staff was always helpful and friendly.

Room 401, retro bathroom with strange shower solution. Also non-existing sound proofing, you can hear everything from your neighbors. Pillows are uncomfortable.

We had a couple good nights in the hotel. It has a good location. The hotel is clean and offer coffee and some sweets in the lobby (complimentary). The staff were friendly and helpful. If you don’t ask every day cleaning you can even choose a free soft drink in the bar or extra point on your Accor account that is very green positive.

Very nice hotel, there's a couple of parks a couple of minutes walk away. There are many cafes close by, definitely recommend going there for breakfast!

Atfer a long driving journey from Poland,we checked in just after 22.00, very warm welcoming from the Reception lady, 2 adults 1 child and 1 dog, the room was big and very comfortable, the bed was very comfy, the sofa bed was good for 1 night stay. Breakfast was 5 🌟 A lot to choose from.. Overall good Experience 👍. Just maybe 1 negative note, the parking was pricey 18€ for night.. Luis Lopes

The staff at this hotel was very friendly, staff speaks fluent English and German and gave us a warm welcome. There's a bar with a terrace where you can order tasty cocktails at a fair price and the bartender was great. The location of the hotel is close to Grugahalle Essen where we went to a concert, and the club in the city centre we visited later. By taxi it only takes you a couple of minutes...

Really nice hotel for a descent price.

Very convenient if attending an expo at the messe, would recommend for this alone. Beds are comfortable and there was a decent amount of pillows. Only dropped on star because the breakfast isn't great. We had it on our first day but it was 12€ each and there was very little choice.

I must say that I thought I was going to a simple 3 star hotel and what a surprise to find a 4 star hotel, modern and with "kitchen" in the room, with induction and dishwasher and in front of the Messe. A very comfortable room with a balcony and a kitchenette, where you can cook yourself a nice meal. The staff were very friendly and gave you advise for every question. It felt like I was at home :)!

Our apartment has a kitchenette with cooking plate, microwave, fridge and also a dishwasher. We prepared our own breakfast in the room. The cutlery was functional with a nice design. The design and furniture of the room (wooden) gives the room a very warm feel. The restaurant is awesome. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a nice park around the corner. Despite the distance to the city center, fairly efficient public transit.

Exceptionally friendly service, cozy atmosphere. Choice of food and very good taste. Dessert is a feast for the eyes. However, smaller desserts should also be offered. We'll be back anyway!

Even if the organizational processes may have to be rehearsed at one point or another, yesterday after a long break from gastronomy we had a special evening at the Gimken restaurant. Thanks to the excellent team and of course to the chef in the background, who during our stay, in addition to his culinary delights, stood out especially for his warmth and therefore did a great job. Beautiful. Very attentive staff, very tasty and original dishes and excellent drinks. And for the first time in nine months, an almost normal restaurant visit.

The stay was very pleasant. I had a great meal at the restaurant. After a good night's sleep, a hearty breakfast awaited me. Completely satisfied, I was able to go home with my dog and hereby give a clear and positive recommendation.

We stayed there for 5 nights. Breakfast is bad, room were comfy but you can feel they had good days long behind them. The personnel was really helpful. Good in the restaurant was not even. Very good service, great breakfast, very clean.

Nice staff, great facilities including the pool, sauna, and gym. Biggest downfall is that the rooms feel a little outdated. But with all the other positives, it's hard not to recommend. There's even a bus stop right outside to connect you to where you need to go. Would come again.

Fine place. Nothing to complain about except I forgot my keys in my room after leaving and weirdly enough the hotel personnel weren't able to find them. Very strange as I told exactly where they were. But probably just a mistake. Good breakfast and especially the coffee.

Hotel Waldhaus-Langenbrahm is a Nice hotel in the center of essen best the messe. It Lies in a forest, it has nice beds and a good breakfast.

We stayed here several times now, always during the Spiel Messe. The location is great, near the main train station and thus also the underground line to the Messe. And one of the advantages of Intercity hotels is that you get a card which allows you to use the local public transport for free during your stay. Room was fine. Cleanish. Bit dated. Bathroom modern and clean. There didn't ever seem to be any staff at Reception whilst we stayed here.
