Residence Inn by Marriott City

Super quite rooms and with curtains shut the difference between day and night is unnoticed. A little disappointment on the cleanliness. Some personal juices from previous guest were missed by the cleaning staff. Told this at the checkout but no response.

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend and the room was absolutely fantastic. It was like a mini apartment with a small closet, a kitchen with fridge, cooker, microwave even a dish washer; and it was modern and very clean. The staffs are nice, the location is directly in the city center. The only critic I have is that the breakfast area is quite small and might not be able to accommodate everyone if the hotel is full but the up side is that the breakfast was nice. I will definitely be returning to the hotel.

Very nice room with sufficient space. Although this hotel focusses on longer stays, it is well suited even for one-night stays if you like bigger rooms. Breakfast is OK

The location is good, very central. New and clean rooms. I like that it has a kitchenette. The hotel also has ready made meals to microwave. If not one can cook simple meals. The staff is really friendly and helpful. This makes a difference in a stay. The stay includes a breakfast buffet. A typical hotel breakfast buffet, all up to expectations. They have hand sanitisers every important nooks for guests.

We were here when there weren't many guests and it was really quiet and even that the location is in central, the windows are sound proofs. We stayed here several times already and realised we prefer the rooms facing the parking lot. And when there are kids running up and down the room upstairs you can hear the thumping.

Aside from these unavoidable glitches we would be back again and again. Great locations and dog-friendly too.!

It was a beautiful experience. Resident Inn is located near Essen Bahnhof, at the city center, therefore very accessible. The hotel is new, and very very neat. Very comfortable beds, neat Kitchen & bathroom. We spent a night and wished we could stay longer. They have a very friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast was amazing & in a neat environment. Shout out to the kind and friendly Cynthia, Kofi & Khaled ( part of the team that attended to us) .You could tell hygiene is taken seriously esp during a pandemic. I'd recommend this hotel anyday.

We had a one-night stay in the Residence Inn from 9th till 10th of July. The hotel is new, the rooms are spacious and one is in walking distance to the main railway station. The highligh for us was the staff taking ccare of us: Khaled, Cynthia, Malanie and Kofi really know what matters in hospitality. We will definitely come back for another nice stay and hope one of them will be on duty :)! Great place! Thank you Khaled, Cynthia, Melaie and Kofi!

Side note: we also stayed in the Grand Hotel Meridien Nürnberg during this trip - and the Residence Inn was WAY nicer and so much more hospitable than what we experienced in Nürnberg...
