Hotels in Hohnstein

I was there with my son for a weekend last summer. The staff is super nice, very helpful (I am blind) and on request also tips on excursions, hiking trails and so on. The hotel is very clean and the food tastes delicious too. Even a massage we could treat ourselves on Sunday, which was very relaxing. We can only recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again.

Beauty area was too nice. We had a pure romance arrangement, which I highly recommend. The highlight was our bath in the tub with light and music, in which the time has passed by in the air. :) Our 4 course meal was delicious. Thanks to the kitchen and the service staff. Nevertheless, I also have critical comments. It would be nice if you try a little better for the cleanliness in the rooms. The shower...

Like a youth hostel, but within a huge building existing since the fourteenth century. Excellent views and all doors are open, to the castle garden, the tower and the historic museum. Prices are very reasonable. Four people one might with buffet breakfast and dinner 132 EUR. Including bed linen. All very well organised, clean and spacious. It was warm under the roof and the windows could not open far...

Good rooms nice view and mediocre meals event rooms are available and good for large groups of guests

Beautiful town with great hiking routes. Castle is nice and well maintained, but is a functioning hotel and youth camp, so many areas are private. I imagine starting as a guest is quite an experience though.

Absolutely fantastic place. Magnificent hilltop citadel in the midst of a charming medieval village with beautiful distant mountain views. ReallyRecommended for a daytrip if you're visiting Dresden.

I'm not going to go there with my class as a class trip,I personally had to face since but I hope this will be a Great fun to be the one we make at the end a disco party (✪㉨✪)!!!!

Ambience good, no Wi-Fi in the rooms and TV offer very modest. Breakfast is mediocre and dinner is very modest.

Went for dinner there. Got Gulasch and Apfelstrudel both were extraordinary. Service was good. Would definitely recommend and we will visit next time when we go to Hohnstein. Location is great too,right opposite to Burg Hohnstein.

The staff was very kind. The service was very good. I enjoyed breakfast and also dinner. They have a very nice terrace. I had a room on the top floor of the hotel. It was next to the church tower. The clocks started to make noise early in the morning.

Location is in the center of the little town, place is beautiful almost at the entrance of the castle but the food is not delicious, below average 👎

The rooms were comfortable, but can be improved. The staff was very unfriendly and the restaurant was supposed to be open at 15:00, but I couldn't find anyone there. Go somewhere else if you can.

Very friendly host. Good breakfast, got vegan alternatives. Pet friendly, near to Bastei. Good and quick communication.

I wanted to be a bit off the beaten track and what could be better than Saxon Switzerland. We arrived in the dark, searching for the room using a numeric code would be child's play. The best breakfast was a hit. Everything about eggs, cornflakes in different variations, fresh juice, very good coffee, fresh different rolls that really tasted. You have to get used to the road, otherwise really nice landlord...

We slept and it was clean, but very simple, no hair dryer, roller blinds, especially in the bathroom, would be great, be careful: no restaurant open. Take care of dinner beforehand. Breakfast was ok. Nice personel. Expandable

We would like to thank the host and his service staff again for the very good accommodation and the friendliness. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast rich and tasty. Especially nice, courteous host who really did everything to make us feel comfortable. And we have that immediately. The apartments were newly furnished and perfectly fine and clean. Gladly again!

We loved the location, the amazing view and how quiet it was. We stayed for 2 nights and on the first night there was an event for 100+ people for dinner, we couldn’t hear them from our room and it was peaceful. Fantastic location with some great nearby lookouts. The rooms are fresh and really nicely appointed with a good little kitchenette and a balcony. We were very comfortable there. The terrace is a good place to lunch and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy and the food is good.

You get to have an amazing view of the entire region from here. It's a quite far from most of the attractions but the view is worth it.

It‘s a nice 45 min’s walk from Hohnstein to that restaurant. The view is breathtaking and it‘s therefore called the terrace of the saxon switzerland and that‘s a very good description of that beautiful place. The ‚Hafersäcke‘ - a rock formation that looks like several oat sacks is near by. The restaurant itself offers good food for hungry hikers and you can stay overnight. Reservation is recommended...

We had drinks and a lunch here with a big group. Service was fast and good, typical German kitchen. The toilets are outside the restaurant, which is weird. They were a bit fhilty as well.

We love to go there. It may be a little crowded when there would be lots of hikers. But delicious food is served there and the view is amazing.

Decent place for a quick stop after a walk. Food was generic, service was OK. Atmosphere was quite cozy. Prices relatively high.

Very nice room with a renovated bathroom. Great location and the sauna is great after a long day of hiking taking one of many trails is the surrounding area. A comment for foreigners, the saunas are mixed and full nudity, which is common for Germany. The breakfast buffet was excellent however the restaurant only average, we ended up eating dinner at other close by places instead of at the hotel.

We were there for lunch before the hiking and for a coffee after the hiking. The mushrooms were delicious and the Cappuccino as well. Good quality food.

Went here for a conference ages ago. It was excellent: people are professional and very helpful. Rooms are good, too. It is nice and quute even though it is located next to the main tourist route to Bastei. Returned last weekend for a hiking tour. Had a coffee at this place and it has not changed. Everybody is very polite, pofessional and busily working to fulfill your needs.

The hotel is located on the shore of the Elbe river. The view from the terrace or from the rooms facing the river is romantic. The hotel has a small heated pool, spa, sauna, steam room. All very nice.

Lovely quiet location ( in March anyway ), cosy and very well appointed hotel, friendly and helpful staff, pleasant small wellness area ( we absolutely loved the Brine Pool ), easy access to hikes. A really relaxing visit.

Good food near the riverside, not too expensive. Only bad point was no air nor AC inside and was a really hot day

We went there just to have some drinks (aperol apritz and beers) which were very nice! Good view of the river. Cons: staff was not very good at english. We ordered a Carpaccio and just 1 fork was given, we then asked for more and brought us just 1 more, and we were 4 people so we had to ask for 2 more for a 3rd time. NO wi-fi, just for the guests.

In one word, Fantastic. Extremely good food, excellent breakfast table, nice rooms, and what a view.

Super Hotel.... A wonderful weekend had there... And, contrary to some of the posted reports, I can only say, the staff was super friendly and always competent contact on the spot.... Beautiful Hotel with all the amenities but very unfriendly staff upon arrival you will be sharply addressed to the Desk, the man is not stupid signs to read, and furthermore, the renovation of jam at the Wallpaper in the corridors, in part, breakdown, furniture scratched and... last point, no Parking 200 meters to the hotel with suitcases run you need to ca or a ferry ride cost to get to a... conclusion...

I've been coming here since years in this Hotel. Earlier with my parents today with a friend. Always a nice stay.
