Normal hotel, nothing special, but serves its purpose. It was clean and we had a good nights rest after a long day in Phantasialand. There is a bar downstairs, open until 10pm which I can recommend. Breakfast is good with enough variety although I missed the sausages. Breakfast is at 8am in weekends, but it’s better to wait at least until 8:15 otherwise it’s too crowded.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel for a daytrip to Phantasialand, which is a 15 minute ride away. We could enter easily at 11 pm, because of the code by email to get the key. The room was very spacious and clean! The breakfast was extensive and yummy. Thank you very much :-)

A wonderful extended stay option. The X-luxury apartment was spacious, spotless, beautifully appointed, with a wonderful view. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, and the daily breakfast is terrific. Can't say enough about the in-house restaurant. I'll be posting a separate review just to gush about that!

We had a very pleasant stay, the room was very tidy and clean. Rituals soap in the bathroom and own coffee machine. Big shower and separated toilet in the room. We strongly recommend!

Very nice rooms, the personal was very helpful. The only negative thing is that it's a little bit far from the city centre but you have a train station at 1 km from the hotel and in 10 min you can arrive to the central station nfor 2,50€.

Nice hotel, stayed here for 5 weeks and still did not get bored about the people and the hotel. The staff is friendly, it's close to the train station where you easily can get in to cologne. It's on the foot of a hill, and in a nice surrounding for a little hike or jog. The only thing is that it's a little noisy outside because a road and trainrail.

We were allowed to stay 2 nights in this very nice small pension (4 rooms). It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Bühl train station in a small park. It's not very good for big groups as there is no way a bus can normally get in and out of the parking lot. The entrance needs some work in that regard. There is only one lift which is also terrible for big groups This one seems to be a European thing: the shower box doesn't close all the way through the other wall, so when you have a shower you also shower the whole bathroom as well

I use this Mercure as a base when travelling to work in Germany and it's always been a welcoming, friendly and quiet place to unwind after travelling / working. I've marked the location down for the benefit of others, for me and the office I need to visit whilst in Germany it's perfect, however some may find it a little too far out of the city centre. We booked a room for 2 nights, with breakfast. Our room was on the 3th floor. It is a different place, than the restaurant/reception, but only 1-2 minutes on foot. The bed was extra comfortable, the room is quiet, looks good and clean. We get nice breakfast, what was tasty and enought. Thank You very much! :)

Amazing staff, I had ran into issues on my commute into Bruhl and got stuck on the other side of the Rhine River. Staff was helpful in making sure I had a place to stay and were extremely accommodating. Grateful for them as otherwise I might have had to sleep on the streets. 10/10 will stay here again. Room was very nice and clean. The things that bother me was the very small bathroom. When you went to the toilet, your knees are against the wall in front of you. I’m 1,68 tall, but someone bigger than me should have a problem here. The same for the shower. The breakfast is basic. But when the fruitsalade was empty, they didn’t refilled it.

Usual ibis which is located conveniently right at the highway intersection. It is the cheapest one in cologne usually and one of few with free spacious parking. So getting here with car is without a problem. However the nearest public transport station is half a hour walk away. And if you prefer to eat something else than fast food you will have to drive/walk as well. Room itself could be cleaner...

Nice clean rooms. Staff helped me nicely when I couldn't pay my parking ticket due to machine malfunction. Rooms are very hot though, no air-conditioning unfortunately. The beds are also not very comfortable.

Perfect location for a stopover en route from the UK to Austria. Good breakfast, nice rooms, good service. Only issue we had was that one of our 2 rooms stank of smoke (yes it's a non-smoking hotel). It was too late into the night to change rooms when we arrived and we slept well, but not ideal.
