Regarding service when i stayed for a week they charged us for a cleaning fee as they claimed we stained the bed with a coffee stain, however this was not the case as the bed sheets and the mattress protector were completely unstained. As we went into cologne center for some food and drinks we arrived later on 1/2am upon arrival our cards to our room did not work while all of our valuables were in the hotel room. we went down to reception and explained our cards were not working and she told us we HAD to pay a charge of 100euros which we spoke about and eventually the reception staff told us we could discuss it with the manager the next day upon arriving in our hotel room we emailed the manager and send photos for proof.Also the room was not even cleaned or restocked with toilet roll or clean towels ect. The next day we got a letter in the room regarding the situation they knocked off 30euros however they completely avoided any proof we sent regarding the stain and basically just said we are charging you if you like it or not.
so in total we had to pay a 70euro fine for a stain that was not our fault if anyone stays here i would highly recommend taking photos of absolutely everything just so they cant just charge you for something you did not do.
There is only one lift which is also terrible for big groups
This one seems to be a European thing: the shower box doesn't close all the way through the other wall, so when you have a shower you also shower the whole bathroom as well
I've marked the location down for the benefit of others, for me and the office I need to visit whilst in Germany it's perfect, however some may find it a little too far out of the city centre. Do your research!
The breakfast was amazing—plenty of options and very fresh. However, dinner was a bit underwhelming as it seemed pre-prepared and heated up. The prices were reasonable, and the dining area had a nice, welcoming atmosphere.
The pool was a great bonus, and we enjoyed it. If you plan to use the sauna, request it in advance so they can turn it on for you.
For those travelling with electric cars, I recommend calling the hotel beforehand to check if the charging stations are working. Unfortunately, during our stay, they were out of service.
Overall, we had a good experience and recommend this hotel for its affordability, location, and amenities.
