Where to stay in Jork

The two days were just perfect. One could not wish for anything better.

True to the motto "Don't look for it, find it" we came across this house by chance during the apple harvest. A self-picked box of "Red Prince". Great location for exploring the Altes Land. Impressive architecture, you can see the relation of the landlord to Namibia. Cultivated. Really very nice employee cooked apple jelly for us. We'd love to come back when we're in the area again. Thanks.

At the end of September, my wife and I spent a few days in the "Jagdhaus" and really enjoyed the location in the apple orchards, having breakfast together with the other guests in the "living room". Although we weren't very lucky with the weather, we were able to visit Stade, Buxtehude and Hamburg, as well as explore the area by bike in one day. Many thanks to Mr. zum Felde and his staff for the hospitality...

For the second time we have chosen the Villa Altes Land with friends as a domicile for a long weekend in this region. It was a pleasure for us to stay again in the house of this friendly and courteous host. You can only feel good in the spacious and tastefully furnished rooms and you will receive an excellent breakfast where nothing is missing. The next visit is already being planned.

Very nice cottage (hunting house), 10 days brought maximum relaxation. All wishes were fulfilled. Very friendly landlord and housekeeper. Thanks a lot for this. We will be back. The Grothe family from Berlin

I went to the Alte Schmiede restaurant in Jork on 08/20/21 with my wife and my in-laws and we all enjoyed it very much. We were welcomed very friendly on site and shown to our table. We were also served very friendly and attentive afterwards. The starter platter was good and plentiful and we also enjoyed our respective main dishes very much.

I was there with friend and we was more than satisfied with everything, great dishes and great personel.

Avoid staying near room 117. Someone is always smoking under windows and you can not open your winodows. As there is no air conditioning in the room in can get very hot. Asked in reception several time no reaction.

Friendly staff and great hotel. Staff is very accommodating and you can ask them what are the things around to sightsee. Convenient and near the town and area. Had a great stay. Highly recommended! Overall Buxtehude is a nice friendly town.

Great location within walking, cycling distance to great attractions nearby. Hotel and restaurant staff were nice and pleasant and good food. The hotel also has available bicycles for rent to travel further for sightseeing. I would highly recoomend this hotel.

Rooms are OK, no aircon, no kettle. Minibar and nice bathroom. Very spartan breakfast, quite disappointing. Pleasant staff. WiFi didn't work while I was there.

The rooms are nice if not a bit small, but typical for the area. Would be nice if more toiletries were provided so you didn't have to pack as much.

My favorite hotel in Buxtehude. The staff, always ready, make everything possible. Very pleasant bathrooms and a very special breakfast! I always feel that I am in good hands here.

Good services but needs improvement if infrastructure

From the moment you arrive in reception there is an air of quiet efficiency. The staff are lovely, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. They tolerate my rather poor German with a smile, and always wait until they are out of earshot before starting to giggle at my mangling of their wonderful language. Most staff speak excellent English, but where's the fun in that? :-) The rooms are hyper-clean...

My room was clean and cosy furnishings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast is very rich and with very good products stocked. Highly recommended! The location is convenient to the old town with various good Restaurants! However, the free Wi-Fi works not very well.

Years back, I hit this place upon a bicycle tour. Had a wonderful meal and drinks. The ferry station is pretty close. Nice and safe place.

Alone, the Service deserves 5 stars. Very friendly, courteous, and fond of children. I wasn't eating here yet, but know that the owner has changed in may 2016. The decor is very tastefully designed and has a very comfortable and consistent in a very old building. The kitchen is home cooking, and offers a good selection of fish and meat dishes at a fair price. During our stay everything was very clean...

Super Super-Food! Have Spontaneously been on the Sunday and it All fit. In the summer, having a beer garden. A visit is worth it.

Elevator, refrigerator, and AC was the missing parts. Other than that everything was excellent!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We are particularly pleased that you can have pleasant conversations with the owners and not just be "any guest". The team is very friendly and you feel welcome. The wedding we were invited to was also great. If we're around again, we'll definitely be back!

I'm totally thrilled, quick telephone booking, uncomplicated, price-performance ratio absolutely okay, staff really nice, met the owner personally and had a super friendly conversation! In 2016 we celebrated our wedding together with almost 90 guests in this beautiful house. It was wonderful! The ambience there, surrounded by trees and the long driveway were indescribably beautiful! I would get married again and again! 😃

Beautiful hotel & restaurants in Blankensee overlooking Hamburg & the Elbe. Has it's own underground parking. We visited the biergarten which provided great food from a limited menu at a very reasonable price. Half roast chicken, potato salad followed by huge portions of strawberry gateau. A relaxing evening.

Super fancy hotel, with great restaurant. Surprisingly, when we went to have breakfast, the seats were very dusty. Really unexpected, but I am sure they have a reason for it. It should have never happened though.

Wonderful boutique hotel on the Elbe River in the Blankenese area of Hamburg. The room was spacious, the breakfast was good, and the service was excellent.

The Room is small and only has a single Bed with a small TV. The Bed is comfortable. The breakfast is a bit spartan es well so I'd say the hotel is a bit overpriced.

My experience of Hotel Baurs Park was excellent. It is at best location of Hamburg and the rooms are small but very clean and nice. The breakfasts is really good and I had the best croissant ever. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. The downside is that the hotel does not house a fitness centre and the staff leaves in evening. Other than that, everything was very good.

Slept extremely well, beds were comfortable and rooms spotlessly clean with all the amenities you would require for a city break. Heavenly walk just behind the hotel. Walk up the Baurs Park and spend time on the walk near River Elbe. Extremely polite and helpful staff.

Very nice overnight stay in apartment halfway Netherlands and Denmark. Clean room, good bathroom, equiped kitchen. Beds meet standard and Hotel provides free babybeds. Apartment is located few hundred meter away from hotel itself. Breakfast complete and value for money. We would book again next time.
