Baurs Park Hotel

After having messed up our original booking, the hotel could only offer us two single rooms instead of the double we booked. Although this was extremely inconvenient, we agreed, hoping a double would become available before we arrive. We were promised two rooms together - they weren't. We booked room only but were told that the room and breakfast included rate was cheaper - it wasn't. When we came to checking out we discovered that we'd been charged for the two single rooms, not the double we'd originally booked, despite the error being theirs. This was considerably more expensive and the lady on the reception was not willing to negotiate or offer any kind of discount. We felt totally cheated. She even tried to tell us that they didn't have any double rooms at all in the hotel, until I showed her our original printed booking confirmation which charity starts double room with double bed. Although the rooms themselves were nice, it was incredibly expensive, much more than we'd expected to pay and the attitude on check out left us feeling ripped off and upset.
