Great rooms, friendly staff, well situated. Would return in a heartbeat.

Location is good with good parking area. Rooms are clean, not that spacious, but good. Bathroom is good too, with good amenities, but the floor outside the shower gets wet when we take a bath.

The restaurant was closed for our stay. We were housed in what seems like the annex. There was no bar either. We had to get a taxi to eat. Convenient parking was plentiful. The service was not so good as reception proved to be a little unhelpful.

Very nice hotel. Friendly service and comfy rooms. Very good breakfast with lots of options. If you're arriving by car be careful, the address is on Frankfurter straße but the parking and entrance are on Wartekuppe around the corner.

Fairytale in Kassel The Hotel Gude is located just outside the fairytale district and right next to the tram. Perfect starting point for a visit to the Documenta ... or to take the two walks designed by the hotel manager. Room, staff and breakfast perfect 👌

We were at the documenta in Kassel and again at the Hotel Gude. A nice service is the arrangement with admission tickets, so you don't have to worry about anything. A 2 star hotel you can book for a reasonable price. The hotel is located just 500 metres from the city area. A tram stop is about 150 metres away. Parking is free of charge on the premises of the hotel, but there are only 5 parking spaces available. The price for breakfast is 10 Euros now.

The Novostar Hotel Kassel is located in a rather unfriendly area right on the main street with trams. At night we had to sleep with the window closed because the noise from the street and the strange people was extreme. Small and simple room but it has all basics and clean. The people from the hotel were very kind. It was nice to stay there!

Friendly staff. Walking distance to the city center and train station. Not the cleanest neighborhood. Room very clean with a large window. Shower doesn't drain very fast.

All in all it is okay. A cheap hotel compared to other hotels in Kassel. Breakfast was good. The area is not the cleanest in Kassel, and it can be loud due to party music and traffic on the street, but for 1-2 nights it is still okay. Reception is only open Monday-Friday 06:30 - 22:00, and Saturday-Sunday 07:30-18:00.

Stayed for one night while visiting Documenta 15. Hotel only 3 stops or short walk from Friedrichsplatz, so very well located for that. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was very reasonable for €5. Only complaint was wi-fi, which was fine in the lobby area, but didn't work in my room at all.

The room is very clean, with three single beds. Although it only has shower gel (no shampoo, no slippers, no kettle, and hair dryer), it is super close to the train station (Kassel Hbf). It was close to Kassel hbf station, so it was convenient to use it as a base to get to various places in the surrounding area by train as well as within the city. The hotel and rooms were clean.

Got there last minute so does the job. Clean room and good bathroom facilities. Off road parking. Cold meat and cheese buffet with cereal and hot drinks for breakfast. We paid 70 euro on Friday before Christmas. Which was reasonable. 66 without breakfast.

A charming hotel with a beautiful relaxing courtyard next to a church, a nice restaurant and very good breakfast selection. The rooms can be small but they are comfortable and quiet. Staff not overly friendly but business-like and efficient.

I was concerned about the heat so I called the hotel to confirm that they had Air Conditioning and was told that they did. But, they do not. Even though it was relatively cool out and we had our own fan we were uncomfortably hot. I would recommend getting a room facing the courtyard, sheltered from the sun and away from the street noise. A beautiful, quaint hotel near the city centrum. It is build inside an old church and the love for detail for the decorations really impressed me. I loved the ambiance, the staff was very friendly and helpful and we had a very delicious breakfast. We are definitely going to come back.

I don't regret staying here: the location is excellent, particularly for Documenta visiting, and the historical features of the hotel are both fascinating and visually appealing. I did not realize, however, that the building's historical status means that they can not install air conditioning, and by the 2nd day of our stay that was becoming a problem. It is suitable for hiking. It is 4 kilometers away from the city, but the surrounding area is really beautiful. At the foot of the mountain, there is a small trail opposite that leads to the top of the mountain. It is very suitable for hiking.

The hotel is really beautiful, located in a resort area. The air has a high level of negative oxygen ions in the morning, which makes me feel better when I stay here!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights and can only report positive things. The rooms are clean and spacious and you feel comfortable. The breakfast is a buffet and very sufficient. As a family, we had no complaints.

It’s in good location close to the train station and about 10 minutes walk to the city centre. But it’s an old hotel, and everything in it is old but the beds are comfortable.

A fine stay at the hotel. Situated near the Bahnhof. The Bergpark was the main reason for the trip to Kassel.

Centrally located and very friendly staff! The equipment is simple and a bit older, but everything you need is there and very clean! The breakfast in buffet form is also recommended, everything is of good quality and it is "replenished" until shortly before the end of breakfast time. In short, great value for money, we'd love to come back!

Very friendly and helpful reception. I booked on the go while traveling therefore I wasn’t expecting much and instead I was amazed how nice was the room which was given to me on the 5th floor with outstanding terrace and view! I felt like I was in a small castle back in time! Thanks a lot and whenever I will be traveling around that area I for sure will book again here.

For a 3*** hotel t offers a very optimal combination between price, quality and comfort. The rooms are big enough, very clean, "all-in" bathroom, TV, small fridge, comfy bed, very good wi-fi, fitness room, pretty good breakfast. 200m from hotel there is a tram station (#1 & #3) and till center there is only one station (~1.2 km on foot). This is definitely a goos option when in Kassel.

I was having a job interview 3 years ago in Kassel and then I booked a room here. It was a pleasant stay in a nice and quiet room for no smokers, with decent breakfast on the next morning. I got the job, which unfortunately was not as good as I expected, hahah

The hotel is small and cozy, clean and tidy. There is a coffee machine and slippers in the room. The front desk gives you a free Kassel transportation day ticket. It's great.

We needed to take a stopover on a longer drive and this was the perfect hotel with a small kid for a reasonable price. The rooms were exceptionally clean with all the basics and a comfy bed (baby bed was offered but we did not need it). Late checking can be arranged with the gas station directly and there's a charging station for e-vehicles. There's a small playground and a simple but clean restaurant...

The location is excellent. It is right at the center of the city just a few mins walk from the station as well as from all major tourist attractions like Friedrichsplatz, Orangerie, Markthalle and Grimmwelt. There are lot of restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff at the reception was very nice and friendly.

We stayed here last week of June ( 3 nights ,me and my wife) , in Kassel for Documenta , we loved this hotel , lets note that the hotel is under construction , expansion , adding floors and new entrance , new dinning area , etc . But this in no way affected our stay , quiet , great beds , we suggest a room on the street side for now . Staff very welcoming and friendly , nice temporary breakfast service...

Set beside a river, I woke up to the sound of a cat meowing. People were fishing on a walking trail by the river. I got to watch them while I ate breakfast for 17€. The bathroom made no sense. Awesome / Relaxing for one day We only needed a bed and for very luttle money got a full apartment incl. King size bedroom, huge liveroom w. large balcony. Even incl. Table tennis and fussball tables in the apartment. Huge surprise for the kids when we opened the door :)

Stayed here for 1 day on our way to Hamburg. What a nice location directly on the Fulda River, Room had a great view with Balcony to sit and take it in. Rooms are comfortable but the breakfast is quite minimalistic and the room amenities would need to be rethought (e.g. there's a nespresso coffee machine in the room but you have to pay a ridiculous 1.5 euro to use one capsule).

Nice hotel, conveniently located close to the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortabel. The only minor downside was that the room was a bit noisy due to the busy street, but closing the windows solved the problem. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

This family run hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Kassel. The staff is very friendly, the selection at the breakfast buffet is broad and of good quality, the rooms and bathroom have been nicely renovated, it is close to the station. I would definitely go back.

Nice, well-kept hotel with really nice rooms at reasonable prices. However, the breakfast left a lot to be desired. Therefore, unfortunately, only 3 out of 5 stars.
