Very nice and big Hotel, placed in the Middle of the Woods with a very nice View. They have also Wellness Area. The Stuff was very nice and the Rooms clean. It's also not so far from the Titisee. There is a Road trough the Woods and we walkt about 15-20 Minutes. I recommend it.

Despite the cold winter weather, we really enjoyed our stay. The two children (11 and 13 years old) had fun in the large swimming pool, the bowling alley and the table football table. The sauna area was very nice and clean. The quiet location of the hotel ensured a good night's sleep. The service at breakfast and dinner was friendly and accommodating.

Requests were dealt with immediately, the dog was allowed, very nice view. I would put dog owners on the ground floor as the stairs are quite steep. I would put a blind in the bathroom, the curtain was impractical. The sauna area is very pleasant, we were alone there, the swimming area is huge and everything is absolutely clean!

We came in pretty late on a Sunday evening for dinner and were delighted to find them still open! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, despite our language barriers. Food was traditional and very good. An honest local business that I’d highly recommend!

A very cost hotel, with big and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was very good and the dinner, even though a bit expensive, was nice as well. The best part was the fact that with your stay you get the all-access Black Forest card which gives you free access to the ski lift and the Therme as well. An amazing deal :)

Rooms were spacious and staff was very nice. Breakfast was not included in the price, but they offer quite a big selection. The location is ideal for reaching the Schluchtensteig. There is a sauna, whirlpool and steam bath but are offered as separate services.

The hotel is really cozy and clean. The staff is really nice and helpful. The wellness area normally is not working and one should request them to start the sauna whenever he wants to use it. The pool was not working at all. Breakfast is good but it needs more variety. The red black forest card is a big bonus.

Very pleasant place and clean. The staff was unusually sensitive and helpful. To give some examples: One of us wanted the Soya milk for the coffee and they arranged it, they gave us a small refrigerator which helped us a lot. They kept the room clean tidy every day. They even folded our children clothes. Breakfast was excellent- varied and fresh.

Best hotel if you want to relax and go hiking in the Black Forest. Staff is very friendly, the breakfast is super good and the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the bathroom is very nice. There is a very good relation between price and quality. We always come back to this hotel.

We stayed here for a holiday with many children. The services offered by the hotel were great, they provided lunch and breakfast and the rooms were all very personalized.

I came to Kappel by bus and saw the sign for the inn/hotel open. When I asked the boss personally whether I could get a coffee before my tour as a non-house guest, I received a friendly answer, but of course I could. PROS: Lovely, charming place. It has a sort of rustic cabin charm with wooden walls and furniture, flowers and decorations. We stayed there twice, and twice we requested apartment A1 (we recommend this, if available), which includes a bedroom with a double bed, a living room, a bathroom, a kitchenette, a dining table and a balcony overlooking the yard. Had lunch here the other day and it was a great experience. My friend’s family has had lunch/dinner here several times over the years, and I can see why they keep coming back. Very friendly owners and a pretty good breakfast buffet. Plenty of bread, meat, cheese, tea, coffee, cereal, yogurts, fruits and veggies. Just don't expect to be able to check-in (if you have a reservation) or get a room before 5 as the place will be locked up.

Arrived here early and had a quick look around town while waiting for it to open. Nice clean and tidy town with a couple of steep hills. Got into the guesthouse and found the was no lift so had to drag my suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. Huge room with double beds, lots of windows, TV, solid old furniture and a traditional style feel. Breakfast was good with loads of choice.

Not the most luxurious hotel, but the host has been really friendly and made us feel welcome.

Okay place. A really old building but a quite cozy place. Good proximity to the bus stop and train station.

We arrived at 8pm so there was no one at the reception. However, after a phone call, they sent someone. The room was a bit kitsch but the bed was nice (even though it was two single beds next to each other). The breakfast was amazing and the staff was really nice, helpful and had no problem talking in english for non german speaking person.

A wonderful getaway hotel nestled in Black Forest near Titisee but tucked away from the more touristy lake - front. Very clean, wonderful decor, excellent breakfast eith an array of local breads and cheese.

Nice comfy place to stay, a little remote but depends on what you're looking for. Rooms are big enough, cellular network coverage is horrible but the have free wireless for the guests. Close to the Titisee lake and Badesparadies pools. Recommend to have a car, otherwise you have a few mins walk to the bus stop.

The hotel is nice, and clean and the staff are super friendly, the included breakfast is a buffet and has a good variety of food to choose from. We just stayed for one night before going camping so it is great that the hotel is close to the train station and has a lot of flexibility

Great hotel! The hostess is probably one of the nicest people ever. Communication in English was almost never hard, it was always possible to understand. Verrückt nice hotel with pretty big Skis on the Outsider. Its located near the train Station in neustadt but you want bei disturbed by anybody nois. The Food is althought verry good and the meat is from a local butcher.

The location of the hotel is superb with an amazing view of Titisee Lake. Room and breakfast is also very nice. However, room keeping service is not up to standard. We stayed for five nights and only requested for room keeping twice during the whole stay. Despite neatly placed pillows and blankets, the bedsheets are still wrinkled with hair on it, making me wonder whether they change the beddings at...

Environment: The location is the best in Didi Lake Service: English available Facilities: The room has a balcony where you can smoke, and there is a spa downstairs. I saw nude swimming, so I had to bring my own swimsuit, which is sold in the surrounding stores. Hygiene: tidy Summer and winter should be the best times, and the lake often fogs up in October.

Location of the hotel is great. Right at the lake with a private beach. Breakfast is great and the personnel is helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and well kept.

What felt like a hidden gem We had a fantastic week here with our extended family, facilities and service was superb from concierge to dining. Would highly recommend and definitely go back.

We have stayed in the Vier Jahreszeiten in Schluchsee for probably the last seven or eight years. It’s only about a 90-minute drive from our home in Switzerland and it feels like a home away from home in many ways. Years ago on the dinner menu they had an amazing dessert. It was a warm chocolate cake with ice cream. I loved it. Over the years I’ve always hoped they would have it on the menu again...

Good, but uneven experience for one week here. Rooms had great view. Food, given the cost, was quite good, but no variety at breakfast. The service was at times very good and at times poor. (Eg, asking for a postcard being asked one euro after paying thousands for the stay)

Spend the holidays here with my family and it was absolutely amazing. The rooms are very big, the breakfast delicious and the hosts are quite incredible. A gorgeous gem in a romantic area. Great accomodations and an absolutely top notch spa facilities for guest use. The sauna, infrared room, steam bath, salt bath, dip chamber etc etc, 2 pools and a floating dock on the lake. Just wow. This is the only place to stay on the water and it is gorgeous

The Hotel is perfect to reach via Train since it is wihtin the Train Station. Also it is calm around and one Cannot hear the Trains in the rooms. The bathroom is spacious and equipped. Overall We really enjoyed the stay With complimentary breakfast.

Absolutely beautiful hotel here at Titisee right in the opposite of the train station. Very cosy and very comfortable. The staff is very helpful. Though check in starts at 1500h, they checked us in early at 1130h because we were cold (it was very cold, -1°C, when we arrived). It was a nice hotel location I tried through booking to book two nights but it didn’t work so I books separate nights with different names as we are a couple ! The hotel is Cosy , clean the location were so great , I got the first day a balcony but the second day not which was lit disappointed the staff helped me for changing the room they were so professional and they placed my items as it should...

Good basic hotel across from the train station in Titisee. Free parking was helpful, and it was in walking distance to the Badeparadis. The included breakfast was good and well stocked. Note that there are rooms on the fourth floor and there is no lift, so that can be a slog. The rooms are traditional and a bit beaten around the edges, but fine — the only thing we missed were curtains for the window...

Great stay but way too complicated for check in and getting a Konos card (we never got one). The breakfast door was locked and folks were trying to figure out how to get in, and only entered when someone left. Rooms are great for families.

Unfortunately we had a lot of problems with the check-in. It's an automated check in and when the system encountered problems, we had to make so many calls to fix the check in problems, and again lots of calls to get the right codes for the room. One should be prepared to have a phone & enough battery so you can make phone calls as there is no reception for check in. Also this happened to us around...

Rooms. With view of lake excellent, breakfast was adequate. Lake access with private beach is the best in TitiSee. Brought out chair cushions late in morning which irritated not only me but several other families. location to town easy 3 minute walk. Front desk staff needs customer service training big time.

Everything about this hotel was perfect and we would recommend it highly. The rooms were huge , with large balconies with amazing views over the lake and Forrest. There was a very impressive choice of food at the breakfast buffet. All the staff very very professional and helpful.

Wonderful experience! The cuisine is marvelous and staff very friendly, competent and conscientious. Rooms have a beautiful view and kept in excellent state. The private beach on the lake provides a secure way to enjoy the fresh water lake.

Our room had a nice balcony where it was a pleasure to sit. Breakfasts are ok, dinners in the restaurant were great. If you like hiking or biking, this location is just marvelous - there are many interesting routes in every direction. And with a short car ride you can reach a few amusements park that'll be interesting for children.

Really nice people. We slept in a beautiful renovated room! We had diner a few times, because the kitchen surprised us again and again. We'd liked the surprise diner, variabele fish and meet or vegetarian, always with a lot of vegetables :) wonderful hikes around the guesthouse.

Love it here. Family Fichtel are fantastic host . The food is terrific and all handmade with local products by chef Alfred Fichtel. The hotel is well kept, clean and the family ambient is superb. There are lots a tracks to walk and enjoy nature.

We stayed here with our dog for 1 night. everything went well for us. Room was affordable compared to other hotels. Unfortunately we could not test the wellness area in the short time. Location at the park perfect for dog owners. however, there are cats in the house. good, that there was an elevator, and we always drove directly to the room with the dog :-). we'd love to come back.

At first, we were disappointed that we were given a studio uphill from the beautiful house pictured here, but soon found out that it was a new elegant and spacious room overlooking the lake with our own terrace. To offset the 5 minute downhill walk in the morning for the breakfast at the main house - prompt at 7 am, a pre-breakfast box was delivered! What a lovely gesture! The breakfast at the hotel...

We have a small apartment on the top floor. The virus is stunning! The room verry luxurious. We like it a lot.

We only ate at their restaurant, and were we happy to have stopped here?!?! There is a wonderful view over Lake Titisee and a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and service friendly. Parking available but limited. There is also a small place where children can play after having eaten. There is easy access down to the lake, after having eaten.

The most beautiful view I've seen on our trip to Germany was right out the window. And the breakfast- WOW!!! Loved it!!!

Stunning terrace with lake views, perfect for a lunch or coffee and cake. We had regional cheese and ham - and cheese spätzle...it was the perfect lunch!
