Dorint Parkhotel Meißen in Meissen

Unfortunately, the hotel management has something to learn about customer orientation. After staying there multiple times, my most recent reservation was canceled by the hotel claiming they were “overbooked.” (Tip to management: the time to tell people that is when they call for the reservation.)
They then told me they had made a reservation in a “comparable hotel” in town. So I accepted that. On the day of my arrival, I got to the new hotel to find a rundown building across from the train station. The front door was locked, and only after banging on it for several minutes did someone appear. They couldn’t even give me a key or check me in. I was told to drive to the Dorint to do so. Unbelievable!
I drove away and found my own alternative.
When I called the Dorint later to share my experience with the manager, he was not available. I told the employee who answered the phone what I had experienced, and she was horrified and very apologetic. She asked if I would like the manager to call me and I said, “yes, please.” Surprise, surprise, they never called, and I will never return.
I’m sure they bumped me and several others to make room for a large group. But their behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional and inexcusable.

Amazing veiw from the garden, but only if you have the room situated there. Personell smoking at the window, everything in the room. Noisy room, some ventilation there, no aircondition, only fresh air from the ventilation system. No breakfast included, parking charge for 12 EUR. I was angry and disappointed. Never again.
