I was a bit hesitant booking this hotel when i looked at the google reviews. But i was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is great for the price point of ~60€. Friendly staff, plenty of parking space for 3€ or 10€ depending on where you park. Great breakfast spread.

Rooms at first look amazing, but it was very cold in basement rooms and the heater didnt want to start running. People passing by can see in your room from the streets. Workers at reception are not always there.

We were one night in the Hotel and we are very satisfied. The room was spacious and very clean, with laminate instead of a dusty carpet, very friendly staff, rich buffet breakfasts, and a price/performance ratio, you can see the difference.

Nice hotel, the rooms have just been renovated and sometimes still give a somewhat unfinished impression. The restaurant was closed, it was Sunday, what a shame. Sauna and pool are simple but neat. The area invites you to go for a walk when the weather is nice, very dog-friendly! Despite the small flaws for me 5 stars in the evaluation, because I would come again.

The Hotel was just great. It is centrally located and has many opportunities for activities.
The Zimmner beds are a dream, a wonderful box spring beds, you sleep like on clouds. The Pool is ebenvalls super, there is nothing better than to swim in front of the Breakfast table.
The Kröhnung the whole of the Restaurant was that it was incredibly good. So I was perfectly Happy, and am looking forward...

As soon as I entered, I felt catapulted back into a distant past, and therefore felt at home straight away (although I found chairs really uncomfortable for long periods of time). The menu is clear, but the dishes are really tasty. Simple German cuisine, freshly prepared ... what have I missed that ... the staff friendly and the prices...
We had a very pleasant evening in the Jägerhaus. The service is friendly and competent and the hearty cuisine was delicious. All in all, we had the impression of having stayed with a host who goes about his trade with passion.
Nice little establishment with friendly staff and good food. If you want to grab a beer while watching a game on the TVs, you're at the right place too 😉

Clean hotel with a bit old furniture, service is friendly and helpful. However parking here is a mess. Underground parking lot is available as paid service even for the outside parking you have to pay. The underground parking is a narrow spot where you will have to be pretty good in exact parking and snakey to get out of your car. Guaranteed dent and scratch area. To pay for this gives you a rip off...

For bus transportation, keep in mind 737 bound for Düsseldorf station skips the nearest bus stop "D-Am Zault."

Clean, quiet. I have used it as due to a fair (Messe) nothing was available in Essen area. It did require a bit more travel with public transportation, but it was manageable. Google Maps shows the proper ways to get there.
Let me also mention the extra kindness to provide me an iron (which is not basic here, but could still be managed) without extra costs. Really kind. Thanks!

All of the rehearsal dinner were excellent and we are now moving with our cone club (Düsseldorf) to get there.

Exceeded expectations! Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Location is great! Cute area, nice to walk around, Very German. Definitely would be back! Breakfast was ok, bread, cheese, ham, bit of fruit , juice , coffee , water. It has a gym, tiny but does the job.

We stayed here for 9 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. The room was good, had a closet for clothes, no drawers, room was spacious, bed comfortable, staff were great. The only thing is their Buffett breakfast is too expensive, 17.50 Euro per person. There is a bakery up the street behind the church, it had some great breakfast sandwiches, so we chose to eat there. Staying right in the middle...
