I was a bit hesitant booking this hotel when i looked at the google reviews. But i was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is great for the price point of ~60€. Friendly staff, plenty of parking space for 3€ or 10€ depending on where you park. Great breakfast spread.

Rooms at first look amazing, but it was very cold in basement rooms and the heater didnt want to start running. People passing by can see in your room from the streets. Workers at reception are not always there.

There were people drinking and shouting until 3 or 4 in the morning.
I stsyed here from Monday 21st to friday 25th October, on arrival i found the two receptions very polite & efficient, i stayed in the separate put of their accommodation, the room was of decent enough size with plenty of towels & all the rooms were very clean , i suppose the ibe thing that coild be improved on, is that there was a kettle in the room but no tea/coffee etc all i had was two bottles...

I found the restaurant through an appointment for a private meeting. As soon as I entered, I felt catapulted back into a distant past, and therefore felt at home straight away (although I found chairs really uncomfortable for long periods of time). The menu is clear, but the dishes are really tasty. Simple German cuisine, freshly prepared ... what have I missed that ... the staff friendly and the prices...
We had a very pleasant evening in the Jägerhaus. The service is friendly and competent and the hearty cuisine was delicious. All in all, we had the impression of having stayed with a host who goes about his trade with passion.
Nice little establishment with friendly staff and good food. If you want to grab a beer while watching a game on the TVs, you're at the right place too 😉

Underground parking lot is available as paid service even for the outside parking you have to pay. The underground parking is a narrow spot where you will have to be pretty good in exact parking and snakey to get out of your car. Guaranteed dent and scratch area. To pay for this gives you a rip off...

Rhythmic gymnastics team arrived for a competition on Friday. We occupy the hotel for two nights. There are 14 of us and they offer us 2 rooms in the hotel and 5 rooms on the ground floor (motel type). Good breakfast at 13 euros per person, both sweet and savory with renewal of products as soon as they run out.
It was a nice hotel, inexpensive, and easily accessible to the city. It was clean, too, and the bed was incredibly comfortable!
Everything was uncomplicated. Clean, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
A rooster crows in the morning - I immediately felt like I was at home in the country 😀

Clean, quiet. I have used it as due to a fair (Messe) nothing was available in Essen area. It did require a bit more travel with public transportation, but it was manageable. Google Maps shows the proper ways to get there.
Let me also mention the extra kindness to provide me an iron (which is not basic here, but could still be managed) without extra costs. Really kind. Thanks!

We were there in the evening for bowling. The Service was good and the food that we ordered was delicious. Only the hourly price of the bowling alley from 8€ I felt was a little steep.
By chance passing by, and very surprised come. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
All of the rehearsal dinner were excellent and we are now moving with our cone club (Düsseldorf) to get there.
