The room was clean and very quiet. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The quality of the food in the restaurant was also good.

The three bedroom was very small, the beds were ok, the bathroom was a bit outdated but functioned properly. The breakfast was good, lots of choice, the staff was very helpful. The pool was average, a bit cold. The junior suite was very good.

Friendly welcome, clean comfortable rooms with sparkling water. Well payed out family adjoining rooms. Nice gym/poil area. Only downside was quite a bit of hair in the pool water. Breakfast was fantastic.

Very comfortable new hotel in the area but very little effort has been made to make it easily accessible on foot. This is very much a ‘car required’ area, which is more the fault of the area than the hotel. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Very reasonably priced compared to alternatives locally.

We stayed at the hotel for a night. The hotel was really good with 24/24 service. The room is cosy and clean. We are happy with the price (62€/night) and the cappuccino for 3,5€. However, the room is not really soundproof.

This was the second time we stayed at the Hotel Schmachtendorf, we were again made to feel very welcome and again delighted with the very nice, modern room. The design and furniture of the room (wooden) gives the room a very warm feel. The restaurant is awesome. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a nice park around the corner. Despite the distance to the city center, fairly efficient public transit.

Went for the GAME days in Essen with a buddy and the hotel was great for our purposes. Beds were comfortable, although the room, which we had, was not huge ... for our purposes but completely sufficient :) A super nice team (especially the owner) and also the breakfast was good. We will gladly come back on occasion!

I ordered this place because of cheapest price. The hotel room itself is good and service was perfect. But the shower was bad at least in my room - water cold almost all the time. Internet extremely fast and I was able to watch a YouTube video without problems. Will not come again because of cold water in the shower.

a very hard bed, low pillow. no coffee machine in the room. and the parking lot was very poorly organized, it took me almost an hour to get in and I had to go and park somewhere else.

The options available at breakfast is not very impressive. In fact, It's just basic - nothing fascinating. However, the staff are super nice and helpful - everyone also spoke English. Parking is available too. Besides its proximity to the Centro, there's not much to do around the hotel.

A modern and comfortable hotel. I was impressed by the cleanliness that I found excellent. I had chosen it for a business trip for the number of good services that there are in the surroundings. Unfortunately, due to the Covid, it was not possible to fully enjoy it. But the hotel is recommended and I will be back.

Great hotel, newly refurbished, very clean but what stood up was the night shift person Steven Denkowitz who went way out of his way to accommodate me and my family with 2 young children when we checked in at night. The standard room we were in was quite dirty. Hair in the bathroom drain. Breakfast buffet was amazing though. Came here in 2018 and stayed in a junior suite that time and the room was super clean. So I was a bit disappointed.

We had a upgrade from the hotel for the night which was a good surprise, there was free ice-cream for our boys whenever they wanted and the service was perfect, the staff was vriendly and helpful. We have used this hotel multiple times whilst attending exhibitions in Duesseldorf. The drive to the exhibition is ok and the pricing just doesn't compare during busy times.
