The room was clean and very quiet. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The quality of the food in the restaurant was also good.

The three bedroom was very small, the beds were ok, the bathroom was a bit outdated but functioned properly. The breakfast was good, lots of choice, the staff was very helpful. The pool was average, a bit cold. The junior suite was very good.

Friendly welcome, clean comfortable rooms with sparkling water. Well payed out family adjoining rooms. Nice gym/poil area. Only downside was quite a bit of hair in the pool water. Breakfast was fantastic.

We stayed there for 5 nights. Breakfast is bad, room were comfy but you can feel they had good days long behind them. The personnel was really helpful. Good in the restaurant was not even. Although a budget hotel and inexpensive it is a very nice place to stay for one or two nights. The room was spacious and modern, with a very good bathroom. Great hotel in a Great neighborhood..... Well..... just by luck I selected a hotel which is in the best neighborhood in Oberhausen... What impressed me most was that it was quiet..... For a family Oberhausen has everything: Good schools....ice skating....beautiful football field.....a forest 100 meters from the hotel.... great bakeries.... 3rd stay in Schmachtendorf hotel and always a pleasure

I cannot fault this hotel. Everything was superb. We arrived from the overnight ferry to Hook of Holland. This place was perfectly positioned a couple of hours from the port for an overnight stay before exploring Germany. The car park was spotless. Not small rooms! Basic, new, very clean, with modern designed rooms. Windows can be opened, no mini fridge, walk in shower, free parking places. The restaurant serves breakfast only. Not centrally located.

The store was easy to find, there was good parking, the reception was friendly and helpful, the room was very well equipped (a bottle of drinking water, tea, coffee, and a kettle), and the restroom area was very large and well-equipped. The design and furniture of the room (wooden) gives the room a very warm feel. The restaurant is awesome. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a nice park around the corner. Despite the distance to the city center, fairly efficient public transit.

I couldn't sleep well at the Hotel Gimken because the mattress was too hard for me, but otherwise I liked it and I thought the food was good. The waiters were also very friendly and nice.😊👍.

Very cute hotel in a very charming plaza. The room was cozy and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is very good with amazing food and service. The hotel staff is amazing, paramount and super nice and ready to help you when you need it and I needed it.

A shame that the hotel must close due to regulatory requirements. I stayed there for a week and it is a really nice run hotel. The staff are super friendly, the breakfast for such a small hotel really outstanding and the rooms are large and spacious. Personally, I thank you for your visit and I wish you all the best in the fight against bureaucracy.

Went for the GAME days in Essen with a buddy and the hotel was great for our purposes. Beds were comfortable, although the room, which we had, was not huge ... for our purposes but completely sufficient :) A super nice team (especially the owner) and also the breakfast was good. We will gladly come back on occasion!

I ordered this place because of cheapest price. The hotel room itself is good and service was perfect. But the shower was bad at least in my room - water cold almost all the time. Internet extremely fast and I was able to watch a YouTube video without problems. Will not come again because of cold water in the shower.

Room is very simple, but clean. Beds are comfortable. When showering everything gets wet because the glass screen is only about 40cm. Furthermore, you have no tea or coffee facilities. Parking is easy near the hotel. Westfield mall is within walking distance.

We booked a package at this hotel which includes a 3 night stay including breakfast and 2-day movie park ticket, and tickets to Lego discovery center and sealife. Great value for money. We got a family room with good space and very comfortable beds. Breakfast room was light, airy and with a green planted terrace. We enjoyed our continental breakfast. Staff members were very friendly and polite. Parking is right by the hotel.

Germany Trip Room was not thoroughly cleaned. We found dust on the table and others areas. Refreshments left in the room without explanation that you will be charged if consumed. This was very wrong and should have been told the moment we check in.

Didn't have the best of facilities in our room, only a fridge, kettle and microwave. Couldn't cook anything. Don't know why they allow children if they constantly tell them to hush! Parking is a nightmare

Perfect place for a stopover (epsecially when travelling with a baby and you want some space to hang out somewhere while the baby sleep, as you could close the doors between kitchen/bedroom). Would definitely stay again!

A home away from home. These apartment's have become my families home away from home. The apartment is modern and close to everything you need. Frank has thought of everything and so each apartment is well thought out and spacious. Highly recommend for a short or long stay.
