The three bedroom was very small, the beds were ok, the bathroom was a bit outdated but functioned properly. The breakfast was good, lots of choice, the staff was very helpful. The pool was average, a bit cold. The junior suite was very good.

Friendly welcome, clean comfortable rooms with sparkling water. Well payed out family adjoining rooms. Nice gym/poil area. Only downside was quite a bit of hair in the pool water. Breakfast was fantastic.

Nice staff, great facilities including the pool, sauna, and gym. Biggest downfall is that the rooms feel a little outdated. But with all the other positives, it's hard not to recommend. There's even a bus stop right outside to connect you to where you need to go. Would come again.

The breakfast was good .location is perfect, just 2 mins walk to Centro mall and the winter market. Rooms are perfect and staff is very friendly .I think this is the first hotel where I saw the environment's sustainable goals implemented. Definitely visiting again

a very hard bed, low pillow. no coffee machine in the room. and the parking lot was very poorly organized, it took me almost an hour to get in and I had to go and park somewhere else.

Rooms where neat and tidy, shower was brilliant, pillows take some getting used to. Food is decent, staff are mostly friendly, we where there for a board game convention locally but kept getting hassle from staff when trying to play.

We stayed in the hotel for one night. We got an accessible room without asking for it, but as it did not bother us too much, we did not say anything about it. Friendly staff, clean rooms, amazing shower and good breakfast. They have a huge parkinglot, which you do have to pay for. The hotel is located right next to the mall. Only thing i personally disliked was the bed, it was a little too hard for my liking.

Very comfortable new hotel in the area but very little effort has been made to make it easily accessible on foot. This is very much a ‘car required’ area, which is more the fault of the area than the hotel. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Very reasonably priced compared to alternatives locally.

We stayed at the hotel for a night. The hotel was really good with 24/24 service. The room is cosy and clean. We are happy with the price (62€/night) and the cappuccino for 3,5€. However, the room is not really soundproof.

We have used this hotel multiple times whilst attending exhibitions in Duesseldorf. The drive to the exhibition is ok and the pricing just doesn't compare during busy times. Rooms start to need some refurbishment. Dirty carpet and curtains as an example. Good bed. Reception and bar/restaurant are nice and spacious.

I stayed at the hotel two weeks in a row for work. I had problems with the air conditioner not working in both rooms. A coworker also had problems with the air conditioner in their room. If there's not a snowflake symbol in the bottom right corner of the thermostat screen, it's not cooling. Other than that, it is a nice hotel in a great location.

Very kind at the reception, the beds are amazing and the breakfast is gorgeous. We were even able to have access to the rooms at 13:00 👍 Only one bad point, the parking spaces. You'll have to pay to let your car in the street or at the car park. I recommend.

The design and furniture of the room (wooden) gives the room a very warm feel. The restaurant is awesome. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a nice park around the corner. Despite the distance to the city center, fairly efficient public transit.

Even if the organizational processes may have to be rehearsed at one point or another, yesterday after a long break from gastronomy we had a special evening at the Gimken restaurant. Very well located near Centro Oberhausen, Arena and gasometer. Ok for sleeping. Directly behind a restaurant with Italian food and ash, a steak and burger restaurant. Breakfast and rooms are typically standard from hotel B&B. Small but ok for just sleeping in a clean room with a TV that is big enough to enjoy it and good working internet.

The options available at breakfast is not very impressive. In fact, It's just basic - nothing fascinating. However, the staff are super nice and helpful - everyone also spoke English. Parking is available too. Besides its proximity to the Centro, there's not much to do around the hotel.

A modern and comfortable hotel. I was impressed by the cleanliness that I found excellent. I had chosen it for a business trip for the number of good services that there are in the surroundings. Unfortunately, due to the Covid, it was not possible to fully enjoy it. But the hotel is recommended and I will be back.

Great hotel, newly refurbished, very clean but what stood up was the night shift person Steven Denkowitz who went way out of his way to accommodate me and my family with 2 young children when we checked in at night. We had the family room for a night (€110). Not a new room but pretty clean. The only improvement we could think of would be a kettle in the room (and coffee/tea set) and fluffier pillows. For a family of 5 (10, 8 and 4 yo kids) the stay was a pleasant one after a day spent at Movie Park.

I had a fantastic stay at this budget hotel! The room was clean and had all the essentials I needed for a comfortable stay. The well-equipped and spotless bathroom was a pleasant surprise. A beautiful, modern & clean hotel. Exactly as described. Beds were amazing with memory foam mattress pads. Breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary but the restaurant, hotel lobby, rooms and bar are very nice. I’ve paid twice as much for half of what you get here.

This was the second time we stayed at the Hotel Schmachtendorf, we were again made to feel very welcome and again delighted with the very nice, modern room. We had a double room for 2 nights. The room and the toilet were small that it hardly fit for two persons to walk around. Nevertheless, The location was quite strategic, within the walking distance to the Altstadt and also main station. The variations of the breakfast were acceptable, but the employees were very friendly. Overall, the price was quite expensive for such a hotel.

A smile is what often makes a difference. People mainly expect a clean room for a decent price when they stay in a B&B. I was really delighted by the friendly staff that was so caring during breakfast and made it their priority to have happy guests. I had much more expensive rooms where I met staff that could learn a lot from the friendly gentleman down there.
