Great value for money. Nice room and well equipped. Central location near central train station.

The hotel was very clean nice ,the breakfast was brilliant,we didnt have eni problem evrithing was good,only we are littelbit not happy with the sauna and pool that's why we bought a hotel so that we could freshen up a bit but it was closed.

We booked this hotel specifically for the pool. It was unfortunately out of order. Apparently this happens more often. It was fixed the next day but no one told us so we missed a chance for a morning swim. Breakfast was ok. Coffee could be better. Kids were hoping for bacon.

It's a reasonable hotel if you don’t look for too much luxury. For us, we only needed to sleep in a clean place, and location was important. This hotel exactly gives this to you. On the other hand, I would like their breakfast to offer more things like croissants, peanut butter, etc. Also, they should have an agreement with the parking garage under the hotel for a better price for the hotel guests

Another gem in small town, hard to find and hard to forget. We had the Turm Suite facing the river, large room well equipped with a great view. Breakfast was cooked to order and had all you wanted. I can only recommend this small and nice hotel. #wishyouwerehere

Would give 6 stars if I could. We had a great stay here, everything was perfect. Beautiful room, very clean and a lot of little details that made us feel right at home. The small spa area (see pics) is super nice and relaxing. Breakfast was great, the staff very friendly and attentive. Will be back next time we are in the area.

Great hotel. The breakfast was super. Despite the fact that we are usually not big meat ball fans we absolutely loved them there. Also worth mentioning is the great selection of cheeses. The room we had was perfect for a family of 5 (which can be a challenge). Staff was very friendly (especially to our kids). The location is great for visiting the huge Christmas market

Stayed there for only 12 hours because my flight got cancelled. It was a nice hotel near a plaza with lots of restaurants and other shops. The room was clean and well furnished.

Great staff, good breakfast, just missing a coffee station and iron in the room. They will bring you coffee, but I like being able to make my own! 5min walk to nearest train station, and shopping mall

The design and furniture of the room (wooden) gives the room a very warm feel. The restaurant is awesome. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a nice park around the corner. Despite the distance to the city center, fairly efficient public transit.

Exceptionally friendly service, cozy atmosphere. Choice of food and very good taste. Dessert is a feast for the eyes. However, smaller desserts should also be offered. We'll be back anyway!

Even if the organizational processes may have to be rehearsed at one point or another, yesterday after a long break from gastronomy we had a special evening at the Gimken restaurant. Thanks to the excellent team and of course to the chef in the background, who during our stay, in addition to his culinary delights, stood out especially for his warmth and therefore did a great job. Beautiful. Very attentive staff, very tasty and original dishes and excellent drinks. And for the first time in nine months, an almost normal restaurant visit.

The stay was very pleasant. I had a great meal at the restaurant. After a good night's sleep, a hearty breakfast awaited me. Completely satisfied, I was able to go home with my dog and hereby give a clear and positive recommendation.

Been positively surprised. The rooms are cozy and large enough for a workout 😁 They serve a small buffet for lunch and dinner with a choice for everyone. Their Tiramisu was amazing 👌🏽

Room was nice and clean. We wanted to have dinner at the restaurant to find it was already closed at 9 pm on a saturday night when the hotel info provided in the room said 10 pm. Check in staff was super sweet and accommodating.

Very comfortable new hotel in the area but very little effort has been made to make it easily accessible on foot. This is very much a ‘car required’ area, which is more the fault of the area than the hotel. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Very reasonably priced compared to alternatives locally.

We stayed at the hotel for a night. The hotel was really good with 24/24 service. The room is cosy and clean. We are happy with the price (62€/night) and the cappuccino for 3,5€. However, the room is not really soundproof.

This Hotel has everything that you would require for accommodation. It was priced very well, breakfast had a wide variety of options on the buffet. Bar and Restaurant is closed during Covid. But that was no issue for us.

This is a great Hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in and around Essen for work and finally have found a hotel that ticks all my boxes. Good room, good staff, good breakfast, good parking and most of all comfortable bed and pillows plus a proper size study table to work on. No need to search for new hotel, this will be my preferred hotel from now on.

Quite central, spacious room, great breakfast, clean. Reception not always staffed, but received instructions and access code for entry to hotel and you can take keys from reception.

From the location, the staff and rooms this is a lovely place to stay. Restaurants within walking distance, many sites to see but still quiet and personal.

Let down by the very slow restaurant service, perhaps due to lack of staff, but how can a 4 star hotel restaurant have missing items on a dinner menu 2 days in a row? A shame that the hotel must close due to regulatory requirements. I stayed there for a week and it is a really nice run hotel. The staff are super friendly, the breakfast for such a small hotel really outstanding and the rooms are large and spacious. Personally, I thank you for your visit and I wish you all the best in the fight against bureaucracy.

Cons: No air conditioning Water pressure very low Room was small 32 steps from level 2 elevator to level 2 room! not easy with suitcases. Spent 3 nights here, very friendly staff, great breakfast & a clean & comfortable room. Close to city centre with good bars & restaurants. If you like Thai food go to Nuh's about 40 metres across the square, its fantastic😊
