Great hotel. The breakfast was super. Despite the fact that we are usually not big meat ball fans we absolutely loved them there. Also worth mentioning is the great selection of cheeses. The room we had was perfect for a family of 5 (which can be a challenge). Staff was very friendly (especially to our kids). The location is great for visiting the huge Christmas market

Stayed there for only 12 hours because my flight got cancelled. It was a nice hotel near a plaza with lots of restaurants and other shops. The room was clean and well furnished.

Right next to the train station, the hotel has good soundproofing and the bed in the room with an elevator is very soft. There is a McDonald's and a large parking lot around

A perfect experience! Very friendly staff! The food in the hotel is perfect. The room was also very clean. Very safe hotel you can only enter with your card a really good thing. Even though this hotel might look like a business hotel I really enjoyed it with my family.

A full five stars for our clients, friends and hosts. The location is amazing, the food speaks for itself, it's one of the nicest terraces in the area and after all the restaurant is one of the last authentic Italians in the city. We love you come here every time, business or dinner with friends. Highly recommended.

We were pleasantly surprised, about everything. The friendliness of the staff. The design, the location, the restaurant where you could enjoy Italian cuisine in peace and quiet, for decent prices. The portions were also reduced for me, on request. Awesome. For dessert you must try the Cassata Siciliana. Too good.

The stay was very pleasant, the rooms were very well maintained and clean, the facilities were great, the beds were very comfortable. I got a room with 2 balcony. Good panorama of Duisburg and the River. From the bad I see the Rhine River.

We enjoyed the stay in the hotel very much. Wonderful view on the river. Hotel area is not particularly beautiful (industrial area)but offers plenty of opportunities for walks. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. An issue in the room was solved immediately. Breakfast and dinner was good. Enough reasons to return in future.

Breakfast was very good and luckily served until 10:30 a.m. because it was school holidays. The room was nice, too, although a bit small, but we had booked the cheapest category. However, we chose this hotel because of the pool and sauna. The pool was broken and unusable. The sauna is actually available from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., but you have to call ahead or wait half an hour to use it in the morning...

Nice room with practical furniture, comfortable bed, sufficient lighting and a nice bathroom. Nice extras such as coffee, water and refrigerator in the room. Also no shortage of power outlets. Entrance hall room is an extra asset.

Everything was good and I am at all satisfied

The hotel was very good, but the waitress/receptionist at the breakfast buffet was very inhospitable. You didn't feel welcome, more like a supplicant. Typically German, always with the didactic, raised index finger. It was a shame, it ruined my day and from then on I only went into the city for breakfast.

Great services, comfort and space are great from room to bathroom. Breakfast amazing 🙏🏻 Body soap and shampoo were missing but that's fine. Didn't try the swimming pool but I would love to.

Home away from home Eurohof is our go-to hotel when visiting family and friends in Duisburg. Clean, quiet room, excellent restaurant, ample parking. Located in a scenic rural “bubble” amidst the industrial area of the Rhein River.

A little “off the beaten track” but that is also rather positive. Beautifully located on the lake. Great rooms. Price-performance ratio is great.

Zuerst: ich habe NICHT im Regent übernachtet, sondern bin aufs Schwesterhotel Plaza umgebucht worden. Das Plaza hat einen höheren Standard (4 Sterne), aber ich habe den Regent-Preis (3 Sterne) bezahlt. Das Plaza ist natürlich toll, ich mag beide Hotels und steige immer wieder dort ab. Cons: No air conditioning Water pressure very low Room was small 32 steps from level 2 elevator to level 2 room! not easy with suitcases. Spent 3 nights here, very friendly staff, great breakfast & a clean & comfortable room. Close to city centre with good bars & restaurants. If you like Thai food go to Nuh's about 40 metres across the square, its fantastic😊

Clean, small rooms in a central location with a suitable price-performance ratio. Would come again and again for a city trip or a family celebration for a simple overnight stay.

Great hotel, excellent personal service provided by beautiful Romanian hostesses, too bad that this morning the police showed up and closed down the property for apparently no reason, they were very rude and kicked everyone out of the building.

This hotel could have earned 5 stars easily because it's staff, rooms, and services are great. However, to promise a fitness center (gym) and then dont have one isnt good business practice. They do have a pool and 2 (!) old, outdated, and crappy cardio machines next to the pool. That's NOT a gym.

We were in Duisburg to visit Landschaftspark and needed a place to stay for two nights. We chose this centrally located hotel, and we had a very pleasant stay. There are great parking facilities in the courtyard behind the hotel, and the hotel itself is nice and clean. We got a nice room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast is also good, with a decent selection. The staff are friendly, and overall...

An enjoyable stay, All of the reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Laura on reception was particularly helpful going over and above her duties -helping to contact a local Taxi Co (who only had an answer phone message - in German). Would recommend, and happy to stay there again. The only downside is that the restaurant does not do evening meals.

We stayed here for 6 nights in a comfort king room. Spacious room with air-conditioning, which was brilliant as it was 32c during our stay. The staff were brilliant and so helpful organising taxis when we required them. The breakfast was really good with lots of variety. We will definitely return next year.Also, so close to a number of museums and sight seeing areas.

First impressions are that it comes across as a hotel for business travellers but it's only about a 10min walk to the town centre. Everything was clean and tidy and worked fine. Not really a nice hotel, but practical and convenient for those who want to be close (next door) to the train station. Rooms are small, clean but a bit out dated. The tv in the room is a big Samsung with a good selection of international channels. Breakfast was ok.

Our overnight stop on the UK to Denmark long haul summer trip. Location has always proved quiet yet only a quick drive to good restaurants. Rooms are always clean, the only downside is the lack of a pillow for the top bunk in the family sized rooms. Breakfast (when we don't leave before it's served) is good and at a great price. Coffee is strong and all I can drink. Which alone, the morning after over...

The Hotel offers Breakfast. The rooms are just what you expect at the budget group, but have shower and a bed. Unfortunately no small fridge. All in all enough to sleep a couple nights.

The hotel was good but not in a price 60 € per night. Maybe the value is sth about 40€ The rooms were clean but small. The bathroom was to old. The staff were perfect and location was also near central train station.

Unfortunately, I had other ideas about what a youth hostel should be like and was pretty overwhelmed by the comfort of this "hostel". As a modest touring cyclist and long-time DJH member, I would have preferred a much simpler room at a lower price... Well, I enjoyed the comfort, I just wonder where it will lead and whether it still lives up to the mission of a DJH. But I guess I didn't look too closely...

Perfect location for relaxation

Location is a bit niche, as is often the case with DJH hostels -not really convenient for anything except the big stadium-like affair next door. Otherwise it's excellent. There is an in-house sauna which, during a major heatwave, I regretted having to skip. I would have liked a more health-conscious breakfast. Still, a solid, cost-effective place to sleep -I hope I may have the chance to come back...

If you haven't been to a youth hostel for a long time, you'll be amazed: spacious rooms (including single and double rooms) with bathrooms, great service, friendly staff, good food and a modern atmosphere. Actually much better than a small, run-down middle-class hotel. The prices aren't what they used to be, of course, but they're absolutely reasonable. Conclusion: absolutely recommended!

Friendly staff, new building, and plenty of activities for the students/athletes staying here. The breakfast could have a little more variety, but for the price, this DJH is a great value. Update 23.04.22 The wifi keeps this place from being five stars. Even in a youth hostel it is slightly underwhelming when you have to log in every hour and get speeds of 500 kbps.

I was only there for a day, but the staff was really friendly and helpful. I was lucky enough to get the top floor room, which is quite spacious. I would give them 5 stars , compared to value for money but unfortunately the WiFi signal wasnt strong enough to cover the 3rd floor so I had to use the lobby for work.
