Hotel Adler Münster

We arrived to the hotel with paid reservation and upon check in we were requested to pay more or lose the reservation and the money already paid. The manager is really rude and maintains that he can change the prices whenever he wants since it is his hotel. Quite an scam.

Booked a room and was looking forward to a nice relaxing dinner at the restaurant and a glass of wine on the rooftop.
But none of this was possible cause the facilities were not there. And the staff was not helpful I ended up booking a room at other hotel

They write the is a restaurant and a Roof terrasse but NO both are closed
Well we tried to buy a gin tonic in the bar but NO, the bar dont have gin.
4stars. Hmmm. Just a over priced hotel if you take the missing restaurant and terrasse in to account.

Unfortunately, few things need to be improved.
First , parking is additionally paid. It is so dark, that do not try even go there without own flashlight over night.
Does not look secure. Definitely disappointed with this point
Second, light in bathroom has a timer.
Set for 10 seconds
It is a joke.

Sorry, this hotel is advertising as **** hotel, but overall feeling is lower that ***

Plus: big rooms.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - BE CAREFUL!

A couple of weeks ago my partner and I stayed at this hotel for business purposes for 5 days. We both tend to travel due to work, and definitely this was our worst experience.
To start with, my partner reserved through his company (paying his part, as normal). The day before arrival, he called and asked if I could be added to the room, which was confirmed and a price established, agreeing that the extra would be paid upon check in. When we arrived, they decided to over charge us for the extra person (me) more than what was agreed. Nonetheless, the price was already confirmed, it was also stated in that way on the hotel website, and my partner already paid part of the stay, thus we couldn´t refuse to pay more than initially asked since we had no other option than then loose the complete reservation (and the money already paid). Next day we found a receptionist who could speak English and we told her the issue with the pricing. She informed that she would speak with the manager. Next day, we had a conversation with the same receptionist and the manager where they recognized the over charge and asked for our bank details to return the money. Well, few weeks passed and we never got the refund. In addition, we contacted several times to the point that now the manager informed that he can decide changing prices (even after agreement, confirmation and payment) whenever he wants, and that the refund to which he agreed, it won´t happen since he decided this last price change on last moment. Therefore, BE CAREFUL, as you may pay a price and they may decide to change it when you check in! We already decided to denounce this to the consumer centre on the basis of fraud, definitely never encountered this before and hopefully no more costumers are scammed this way.
Other points is that the service is not nice at all. From the 5-6 employees we may have seen, only one girl was nice to us. The room was not clean (extremely dusty, with many hairs, especially in the bathroom, and spotting on floor and doors). The cleaning service during the stay was also terrible (when requested, they merely changed the reel of toilet paper).
In addition, even though at the time of our stay, masks were mandatory in any inside space in Germany (and absolutely everywhere we went, even on terraces employees would wear them), no employee from the hotel was never seen wearing a mask. Quite bad politic on this times...

For being a 4 star hotel, the management is pretty far to be able to manage such a business. Definitely not recommendable for many reasons and even less after having suffered this experience.
EDIT: after this review, the hotel contacted us threatening with suing us if we do not delete this review. Apparently they also mention denouncing on other bad reviews in this same page. Definitely something is wrong here.
