Nice place for kids. Mamazina has amazing food.

Great resort with a lot of fun and activities for kids. Aparments are large, clean and fully equipped. Staff at reception don't speak english at all only german. Note the one day entrance to pool is starting first day after check in. What means 15PM till 22PM only. Next day is 22 EUR adult/15 kids.This information is missing everywhere and makes disappointed

Nice place to stay for some hours... even if the pricing model is a bit old fashioned and not guest friendly at all. Anyways, a good place to slant some relaxing hours ;)

Nice resort quite close to slopes. The Spa is really gorgeous, while the apartments are a bit old-fashioned. It was a bit tricky to go to the apartment from the reception. There is no lift in the apartment building so prepare yourself if you have heavy luggage. In addition to park your car you need to fight a bit if you want to keep it close to your building. I can't understand the critics. We had a great 3 days in Elldus. I had given my Kidnern and grandchildren for Christmas a stay. And we were all thrilled. We were 5 adults and 2 small children (4 years and 11 months). You can see how the operator's effort and how lovingly everything is organized. The children were always busy. Very large rooms (former new apartments), ideal for families (large Playground, childcare, etc.), and both Breakfast, as well as in the evening, a super selection of very high quality and many homemade dishes. The location is convenient for excursions and hikes located, but nevertheless very quiet. We were already 2 times here, and would not hesitate to book here again.

Hotel is great. 5 min from Ski Lift. Food was very good, parking nearby the hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. We will be back, once we visit Oberwiesenthal again :-)

We were very satisfied. The price-quality ratio is excellent! Spacious rooms, good food in the morning, midday, afternoon and evening, as well as high-quality drinks in the bar. The staff is also very friendly and motivated. We will gladly return!

Really nice hotel. Located near a lot of tourist attractions. Internet was quite good. The breakfast and the dinner were even better! Nice place to stay for a few days!

Fichtelberghaus kann man gut Essen und die Unterkünfte sind auch gut.

Schönes geräumiges Ferienhaus mit 5 Schlafzimmern, voll ausgestattete Küche und geräumiges Gemeinschaftszimmer.

Unfortunately, I only get a short impression, therefore, I can evaluate only a part of it. It was a short trip on the Fichtelberg. From the terrace of the hotel have a very nice view on the Umgebungm there we have a chocolate Cappuccino brought and tasted good. Unfortunately, you had not made the effort to came to the cocoa powder mix to which however, larger lump on one.

one of the most delicious rump steaks...this is a special reason, & to come to the Fichtelberg :)

We felt very comfortable in the three days. Our room was newly renovated and functional. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. We really enjoyed the friendly hospitality. We wish the family many satisfied guests.

Disappointing. Spaghetti for kids is just ketchup and spaghetti. Wildragout was soft but boring. The leeks in cream sauce was very good. Black burger is more for looks than taste. Menu looks great but was disappointing.

Location is great, in front of ski lifts. Accommodations are not up to par of prices charged, bathroom tub extremely slippery and dangerous, limited toiletries are given (one small soap for a room with 4 people?).

Great service, location and price. The hotel is directly close to the ski lifts and at walking distance from all the major services / attractions of the city. The staff is very friendly and the facilities very easy to use. The room was also very spacious and nicely decorated. Only minus: for us the mattresses were very hard, but otherwise highly recommended!

Have not stayed at the hotel but love the bar at the lobby! Very nice personnel, simple menu but great tasting food. We always have drinks/food here every time we come to ski in Oberwiesenthal. Personnel speaks too many languages to count :)

Was a very nice stay. Breakfast and dinner was great. Accommodation and staff were Top. The environment is seen when the weather is nice. Only rain had unfortunately.

Better you can not make it on the Fichtelberg vacation. Top location, friendly staff. With a child, a very good choice!

Excellent ...but only if you speak German. Very few staff speak English which is a bummer as the place has so much to offer. From family activities to the stunning view, there's plenty to do inside or outside regardless of the weather!

The rooms, staff, and sauna were great. Breakfast and dinner, however, were mediocre.

Good hotel and good location, poor restaurant. The hotel reception was very good and professional. The restaurant was poor. The breakfast table was not cleared or set. The buffet displays were not fresh. No fresh salad, tomatoes were whole. The evening buffet was not well prepared and presented. Dessert was cheap and unimaginative. The few service staff were overwhelmed but still friendly.

Very clean and spacious. The rooms are really wonderfully large. The beds are fine. The breakfast is very well prepared and there is a lot of choice. Please note that parking costs €8 per day. And the dinner buffet is not recommended. There is very little choice, especially for vegetarians. Dessert was an iron plate with a few slices of sausage and cheese and 5 mini pots of fruit mousse.

The hotel is okay. It certainly keeps some of the old times flair which wouldn’t be a problem if the food quality and prices would match.

I was here on business trip and I have to say lunch was phenomenal especially deserts!, as for rooms they are very simple, nothing fancy, clean and quite. My one problem was the wifi which kept disconnecting and the mobile network also switches back and forth to Czech networks, so overall internet was kind of a hustle for me.

Friendly staff and they speak good english, they answered all my question with 200% patience. Very child friendly place, spacious dining area can accommodate group dining. Clean room, even though it is winter, the room is warm.

For the umpteenth time we were there, from 2.-4.9.16. To recommend for a short break at the weekend, for longer stays, the rooms and bathrooms are simply too small. Hardly storage possibilities in the bath to make the case to the daily "washing bag Tetris". Yes, this is quite funny, but for several days it gets difficult. Great location, just a couple of minutes to the slopes. Friendly stuff, parking available. Rooms are really spacious and clean. WiFi wasn’t so great though.

I was there only for lunch, which was moderate. Quite good Paulaner beer and the interior was nice and clean. But nothing to write home about. Service was ok.

Very friendly staff, incredible Schnitzel.

We arrived late and the kitchen was closed but yet they offered to make a schnitzel with braten kartoffln for us which we highly appreciated after 10-12 hours of driving. Breakfast was also very fine with good selection - only missed water without gas

The Hotel Schwarzes Ross is from the price and the location a convenient starting point for winter sports enthusiasts. Everything is absolutely fine! Very cosy and authentic place in historic building, in my eyes the hotel deserves a 4-star rating. Spacious and elegant rooms. Great Base for biking holidays

Great House! Scenic location, quiet and surrounded by the beautiful ore mountains natural. Staff and top, equipment top, food top. Prices accordingly, but in the frame. Will also make a holiday for a long WEEKEND, skiing, or Biking.

Very lovingly furnished pension. The family always takes us in like family members, that's how comfortable we have been there for years. Nice conversations and excursion possibilities are discussed together. The pension is not just for railway enthusiasts. Families also feel "clean" at home in the holiday apartments.

Very friendly handling, cozy rooms (an extra plus for the beds) and a perfect environment (toboggan slope is almost behind the house). Unfortunately, only breakfast is currently offered in the hotel (this is plentiful and delicious) and the nearest restaurant is a few minutes' walk away. If you are prepared for it you can experience a perfect vacation. We will be back !

Good and tidy pension with a family flair. Unfortunately, the boss is too much "commander" there. We did not like that. And the price: well, the decor was well maintained and the house was fine. Unfortunately, the rooms have been a bit noisy.

Small, quiet hotel with a great breakfast. Only the bathroom is very small. But it is due to the architecture. The catering in the Rathaushotel is always great. The surcharge for dogs is quite high at 15 euros per night. It was definitely not the last stay. The staff is super friendly.
