Ok this hotel is in a weird location so be prepared to take taxis everywhere. But the hotel restaurant is pretty terrific, I had a couple of excellent dinners there and the hotel breakfasts were out of this world. Be aware the restaurant is not open on Sunday and you’ll have to eat the lobby snacks for dinner! Extremely nice hotel desk clerks, loaned me a cell phone charger etc. Solid room, no complaints. Gym is right next to the sauna so don’t expect to be able to work out unless you’re into being very hot.

One of the best Hotels I ever visited. The receptionists we're super friendly , Kind & very Helpful. Espicially the receptionist from Egypt was very positive & very welcoming. The best Hotel receptionist I have ever met. The Breakfast was also good quality at very reasonable price.

Lovely hotel, a good selection during breakfast time, free WiFi and an ample carpark for guests.
Only one issue that if you sit external to the restaurant at night (in the corridor) the waiting staff are not as attentive to guests dining in the corridor as to those in the main restaurant leading to longer waiting

Service was excellent. Staff is helpful.
Breakfast was really good. You can choose from a lot of options.
Gym is basic, but at least they have a gym where you can do a basic morning workout without leaving the hotel.
I enjoyed staying there.

It was a nice Hotel located in the middle of the forest. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was good as well but not extraordinary. The rooms are not super well isolated and we were awaken at 04.00 am by drunk guests... Very annoying although it was not the hotel's fault. We called the reception and someone came right away to keep the noise down, which we really appreciated. I found it excessive that we had to pay extra to park our car...

This is a 2 star hotel at 4 star prices
Stayed in this hotel for one night passing through. Upon arrival realised it was nothing like the pictures made it look. The room were tired, old and dated. The rooms were hot with no air conditioning. I tried to leave after seeing the room but was told this wasn’t possible and got shown some other room all of the same design but in worse locations.
We had dinner in the hotel which was overpriced for burnt tasteless schnitzel.
Breakfast was a sorry affair for £20 person. A lacklustre display of meats and some hot offering all covered in flies. No fly screens or machines to stop them.
The room obviously was not clean as my partner had an awful asthma attack in the night and my shoulders came up in a rash which took a few days to clear.
The final blow was in the morning when trying to raise some concerns on check out only to be laughed at by the manager.
Do yourselves a favour and stay somewhere else

The rooms in the older part of the hotel are maybe average and will be VERY hot in the summer. What the hotel lacks in room and service is made up by the beautiful location. Great place to get away

Lovely little gem, parking is not free. Plan for food if you arrive late. Great hotel.

I chose this as an accomodation for my business trip. The choice was based on the hotel's location because I needed to be close to Max Planck's Institute for Intelligent Systems. Hotel's surroundings are beautiful as it is located in the forest. The interior was very nice and room was clean. Service at the reception was kind and helpful. Unfortunately, I did not have opportunity to check other services in the hotel, including breakfast. Only point that was somewhat problematic was a direct approach to the hotel - most people will not notice because they would probably use a car. But for those who prefer walking, leaving hotel might be problematic (OK in the direction of insititute I found a forest path from the hotel but in the opposite direction I did not). Otherwise, recommended.

I liked the remote location. The Forrests around are amazing for running. Without car not recommended. The employees were really forthcoming and friendly. They should invest a bit more money for the hotel is really in need of a renovation tho.
What I dislike is methods described by the previous review. They give out free drinks for a five star review. That's kinda unfair and fraud in my eyes. They even claimed it not be true so I made a photograph that you can see yourself. I give 1 Star to serve the justice 😉
