I had a great experience at Waldhaus with my family. The moment we came I felt like a princess. Also, the gym and spa where perfectly arranged facilities and all so cleans

The sauna, swimming pool and spa are nice to visit as well, and the massage is worth it if you just did a long hike or are about to leave for one! The rooms are clean and nice, and the restaurant is more than decent!

Ideal location on a pass right in the Black Forest, perfect for hiking and biking. E-MTB's, swimming pool and wellness available on site. Vegan menu is one of the best ever. Corona-proof - we felt very safe while here.

Cool Location. Perfect Hotel to take a break for couple of days as a motorcyclist. The hotel is located at the top of the Notschreipass.

The place is just lovely and very close to feldberg. The staff is really nice, the room is big with a great balcony with view to the garden and mountains. The beds were excellent!!! And the shower as well

What really surprised me was the price, which is more than just acceptable for a 3-course menu. The hotel has a large pool and two saunas in the basement

Whatever a sauna is always running from, nothing stands in the way of a sauna session in the late evening. The guest can also make the infusion himself

Everything is just right here, very nice and courteous owners who do (everything) themselves there but still have everything under control. You can tell straight away that people work here with pleasure and fun

Our room even had a small but perfectly adequate terrace with a sun lounger, table and a beautiful wooden bench, the view of the large field with mountains in the background is breathtaking for my taste

Great Black Forest stay for single traveller Good value single bed room in top condition and lots of space, with a very good buffet breakfast (if you arrive before 9 - after the choice was limited), a small in-house wellness sauna and access (8 minutes drive or free bus) to partner hotel’s impressive wellness centre (pool, several saunas, steam, plus charged treatments)

There is so much I could say, but this place is ideal. The largest and nicest rooms we stayed in during our time in Germany. Also it's located in the most beautiful place on earth

It's not in the town of Todtnau, but just up the hill close to a massive suspension walking bridge that goes above a waterfall, but this hotel is secluded enough to feel private

I almost don't want to rate it well because I don't want other people realizing how awesome it is here

Not so good: the website promises a direct access to a lift and alpine run - no information that this had, in fact run out of snow and was closed over a month ago. But the close enough run (Notschrei) was good enough

Food in the atmospherically alpine dining rooms was good, if slightly on the expensive side

Great location for short holidays. Owners are really kind and warm. The restaurant and cafe is also very good. I strongly recommend homemade cakes at the noon time.

Friendly and helpful hosts, good local food and spacious rooms. The ski lifts are a 5min drive away, there is also a bus stop 300m from the gasthaus. Only downside for me was that the pillows are a bit soft.

We decided at short notice to travel to Todtnauberg for a few days and rather by chance we checked into the Hotel Sternen (Anno 1769). The hotel is now getting on in years, but that didn't affect the whole thing

we just wanted to stay the night and have breakfast in the morning. The friendly owner gave us the key to our room (number 19), which was very spacious and above all it was very clean

The room was way bigger than expected and was extremely clean. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The only complaint was that WiFi was only available in the lobby area and was unbearable slow

Was traveling through the black forest and booked the room online about 20 min before arriving. They offered me a complimentary sparking wine while I waited for them to find my reservation

They provide lots of opportunities to play, separated by age group, scribe kids programs, all day free food for kids, several play rooms and daycare for small and older kids - time for parents to relax therefore too

The housekeeper was super nice and friendly. We found free covered parking spaces directly assigned to the rooms to be great. Our dog also felt comfortable and cost €5. Generally recommended for a short break

Clean, we had two rooms that were functional, the bathroom was spacious, two toilets, both unfortunately without a sink. Breakfast buffet was good and there was something for every taste

long version: The bad first: No matter how I turned the "temperature regulator" (never seen before) of the shower, it always came out with ultra-hot water so that even my hand hurt after a few seconds because of "burning"

I tried every position of the regulator for at least half an hour and it always came out very hot water. In addition, the washbasin in the room wasn't in the bathroom but it doesn't have to be a problem

Appart from the view and surrounding, they also have sauna and indoor swimming pool 😍 If you want to stay, take the rooms with balcony. You will feel like you are in some other world ♥️

The pool was great , the kids loved it. There is also a steam room and sauna - ideal after a day on the slopes

We had a good stay in Hotel Sonnenalm. Breakfast was excellent. Swmimming pool and sauna : good. Only the steam bath did not function during the week, we were in the hotel. Dinner : was good. In form of buffet.

Our host was very accommodating - providing a vegan evening meal every night of our stay. The lounge area has a lovely circular room , with large windows overlooking the spectacular view

The hotel is located in the higher part of the hill offering a super nice view. The staff is nice and friendly. Food is well cooked and tasty. The breakfast room offers a very nice view from the two windows

An excellent hotel that offers a great view over the Wieden valley because it's located above the city of Widen. The hotel provides sauna and a swimming pool (which was a bit cold however)

The rooms are very high class and so is the restaurant. The breakfast is very very rich and diversed (salmon is served!). The service is very good as well

We were locals (Wiesental) and now in Rheinfelden We've known the inn for a long time, when it was even older. Now it's just great for dining out and, we heard, for vacations too

Beautiful walking trails all around, the map collection captured in a grandma's file kept at Reception. The property is very well located for skiing I imagine, with magic carpets & ski shops/restaurants next to the hotel

While booking the stay, the hotel offered a fairly expensive price for dinner, but didn't needlessly push it (unlike some other larger hotels in the area, which is why we chose to stay with them)

At first, I wasn’t too sure about this place it didn’t look very inviting. But in the end it was great. The manager was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Totally worth it!!!

This place is a perfect ski in/ski out lodge for the resort. The beds are really comfortable and the restaurant was fantastic and open later than the other places around the resort

The room cleaning team must have been on holiday. Even after asking only the bare necessities were done. Other than that, the rooms are fine and comfy and the on place restaurant is decent

The room was a good size and the staff were friendly. Good location for walking and day trips. The food looks nice but it is disappointing to see it coming back day after day

The record whilst I was there was the same poor old fish which first appeared on Friday night looking great as part of the salad buffet

By Monday morning it had appeared every day and no one touched it on the breakfast buffet. The same happened with desserts and salad

Whether information about bike and hiking tours, restaurants in the vicinity, bicycle workshops or doctor's surgeries, we have used everything! Great hotel with only four rooms (we had the panorama suite, which is highly recommended), great beds, excellent breakfast and just about everything was great

the fact that this place has just a very small amount of rooms in total besides being set on an incredibly amazing location gives you the actual feel like being welcomed in a lush and private secluded villa, even though its set almost in the middle of this little villages center

the women who owns and runs this place is a true gem in hospitality. i hardly ever stayed at a hotel that was so much of positive surprises instead of always finding at least a little tiny thing to reconsider

The garden and the view are of course also worth mentioning. We will definitely recommend La Quinta in Todtmoos to anyone planning to visit the Black Forest. Just the best and not only five stars but TEN!!!

if you should ever have the chance to stay around the area of the southern schwarzwald you should always consider to do some extra miles just to stay at this truly magic place

including consulting what to do in the area and if you have an emergency situation. Very nice surroubding in the south of the high black forest. Impressive noise insulation both to the environment and between the rooms

Shut the door and you hear nothing any more. Traditional, beautiful black forest style house. A few parts a little older but extremely well maintained and excellent cleanliness

We only ate at the restaurant so we cannot speak to the hotel. The restaurant is fairly standard for the area. The food is good but not great and the price is reasonable

They do have an English menu which isn't to be taken for granted here in Todtmoos. The staff is helpful but not terribly fast
