Just great! This hotel lives from the hosts and the attention to detail. The combination of “old and new” and a breathtaking kitchen is simply excellent. We celebrated a small wedding and loved every course. The rooms were nice, clean and big. And the breakfast also fully confirmed this quality. I can talk a lot about the advantages of this hotel, but I want to highlight the most basic ones. The owners of the hotel have made this place so comfortable and cozy that you will feel like at home. The dishes are exquisitely prepared and very tasty, the dishes are served with love, very nice and tasty! Come here and you will not regret!

Stayed here for some training recently and the hotel is great. It's modern and spotlessly clean and the owners and staff are incredibly helpful We had a dinner with a group of about 30 people on both nights we stayed and the food was excellent. Breakfast was great too. Lots of choice and they would make something for you if you asked I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Velbert

Very quiet at night and a delicious brötchen breakfast buffet in the morning. A nice, modern and a little bit luxurious place to stay in a perfectly quaint town. It was a good place to spend our last night in Germany.

Was a really comfortable hotel. Quite silent place and very clean. Maybe a bit expensive for the facilities, but in general good. Also good breakfast but not much to choose

Clean, modern and spatious room, free breakfast and free parking. TV set was unfortunately very small, no bath tub. All in all good place to stay for a business trip on limited budget. Reception is only present until noon, make sure to call in so you know where to pick up the keys.

No Internet,supposedly wi-fi but I was unable to connect ! Parking ? under the hotel for 4 small cars! The second underground a few tens of meters from the hotel. Otherwise, everything is fine.

My favorite hotel!!! I often stay at this hotel due to business in the area. I am feeling like my second home now. All the staff are wonderful!! All the reception team all the restaurant staff and of course the cleaners !! all staff are wonderful and welcoming. I love the soups at the restaurant and the great breakfast, I enjoy working at the lobby area with the comfortable sofas and the ladies...

For what you pay, it's amazing. Staff is patient and very kind. Breakfast is great and there is lots of variety. Everyone can have a good breakfast here. Even special options for vegan/gluten allergies. Including fresh fruits/eggs/bacon/sausage/breads(croissants, etc)/fruit jellys/yoghurts and much more. It's noticeable that the rooms aren't 5 stars. But they definitely are clean and well cared for...

Good place,clean and easy to find

The staff is very and accommodating. The hotel is dated even though the rooms appear to be recently renovated. But even though it is right off of the highway, it's in a quite location. Big plus is the breakfast was Vegan Friendly!

It was clean, service was good and I enjoyed the German Breakfast a lot. When I visit my brother again, I will stay there again.

Extraordinary buildings renovated in a lovely way to fulfill the five star feeling of the hotel (this really old stone and brick castle). Fireplaces with live fires going in the evenings are cosy. But be prepared for the smell if you are sensitive. The fine dining experience is a thing I truly appreciate and recommend!

Very clean rooms. But unfortunately the climate in the hotel room was very poor. It was hot and humid. Also, in my opinion the pillows were too large and too small. Furthermore, the hotel itself and its facilities were outdated. Therefore, I would not recommend this hotel.

Great hotel with very good proximity to the train station. We were only passing through Wuppertal for one day before flying out of Düsseldorf, but we were unexpectedly charmed by the city. The room was well-kept and very comfortable, and the breakfast was easily the best hotel breakfast we experienced on our trip.

Very clean and cozy hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was extremely good for a more than ok price. Great location near everything, parking is just a 3 minutes walk. Only remark I can give is that the cocktails in the bar were rather expensive and not that great.

This is a clean MINIMAL hotel. It is impossible to get to with a car, we drove around and around then parked illegally to find out the parking situation. The parking is NOT FREE which we were told it would be and it the only reason we choose it.

My stay here was easily one of the best I have ever had at any hotel. Convenient location, situated downtown and nearby the main train station, shops, and restaurants. Stayed for 2 nights, i discovered the room cleaning was not provided by the hotel, but only upon request, and needed to be asked, never happened in hotel of that level, nobody told me that at the check in. Remained 2 days without it cleaned. No coffee machine and water boiler in the room. Very strange for a 300 euro per night hotel room. At the check out they did not even apologize for that issue.
