Castle converted into a hotel with an outside restaurant ( used also for weddings). The location has parking and it is usually not crowded. As a customer you get also free access in the back, into the castle garden. I was just visiting, so I can't write about the hotel part anything.

The rooms vary a lot in design and color-scheme, which I generally appreciate! I’m a bit of a princess, though, so not every room is for me. The rooms that I’ve seen are rather small to mid-sized but nevertheless comfortable.
If this hotel had an in-house sauna (there is a cooperation with a nearby gym), it would be perfect!

A one night stop over on a business trip. Lovely setting, really attentive staff, and very relaxing surroundings. We had an early breakfast as our flight was early, but a full menu was available. The food was excellent, and we left set up for the day.

Excellent location and superb rooms, fabulous and unforgettable stay! We lived for 8 years in Kettwig in the past and we can strongly recommend this unique Hotel, especially for family vacations!

Beautiful castle hotel goes back to the year 1630. The former castle goes back much further than the recent. Service is excellent, food and wine good as you would expect. The weather was kind so we could also enjoy a drink in the gardens well worth a visit to enjoy some relaxing days here.

Amazing historical castle, great breakfast, good rates. A little far from Messe Essen for repeat trips in a day, but fantastic service.
