Park Inn By Radisson

Let me start this by saying no rooms can accommodate more than 2 people!! It doesn’t matter what the website says. There is only one bed. I booked our room 3 adults and 1 child on the Radisson website and the front desk staff had us check in and pay and we get to our room and are not happy. There is one king bed. The front desk was not helpful at all. They just kept telling me it was not their problem. They kept telling me I had booked with a third party and that was my fault. I tried so hard to kindly explain that I booked through Radisson and showed them the email and finally the manager was called and they gave us another room but not without a major fight. They apologized the next morning as they were able to book a room the same way I did. Surprise! So I repeat these rooms cannot accommodate more than 2 people you will be sharing a king bed! I don’t know why Radisson allows it to book that way. The rooms are nice do not get me wrong. The bed was comfortable. The room was large and nice. Their shampoo and conditioner was great. I did not get what I paid for though initially and had to fight for accommodations. The staff was not helpful until I proved my case so please be aware! They kept telling me that I should know better than to book a room that size and expect 4 people to be accommodated. I quickly corrected them because we had just come from Denmark where there were in fact rooms half the size with more beds that fold into the wall so no their logic is not correct. I just don’t want anyone else to deal with what I dealt with. They just kept telling me sorry it isn’t my fault that you can book a room with not enough beds. Just be aware! If you are two people you will be fine.

Superior room: no heating in the bathroom (no floor heating, no radiator, no warm air outlet). Unacceptable (in the winter).

The windows don't close completely and some cold air can be felt entering the room even when the windows are closed.

All staff seems to be either new at their job, or not well trained. Also: I also asked housekeeping a question but the person spoke neither English nor German.

Breakfast is very good, however nobody told us ordering an omelette etc from the kitchen is free (I found out after asking).

Not that the hotel promises it, but be aware there is no view of a harbour from this hotel.

Good to know: the parking along the side of the street in front of the hotel is free (but almost always full).

The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Wismar.

Lots of power sockets and USB ports in the room.
